@@katrinreal Hi Katrin, 2019 sounds about right. I don’t live there yet, just visiting sometimes. Don’t fish much now but plan to do more after we move to my family’s house in Venice. My parents used to winter there but quit since Covid. I think they got it backwards but they were really scared.
Are most of the homes there on city/town sewer lines or are they on separate Spectic/Cesspools for each home ? Love the way you shot this video, we can basically see it like we would if we were driving our car.
Thanks for the video my wife and I drove to Venice yesterday to checkout the area we went to the sharkeys restaurant but there was a 70 minute wait so took a pass .The reason for our trip was to find Wellen Park but couldn’t find it we’re looking to purchase a retirement place to come in the winter we’re from the north. Looking to spend around the 225,000.00 range if there is hoa fees they would have to be on the low side any suggestions let me know.
Curious how Venice is known as being cheaper than Sarasota as I've been looking into it as a cheaper option. Hhowever it seems Venice is very expensive, but South Venice is more affordable. Unfortunately, South Venice is pretty from what would be considered Venice and just about anything from what i can tell. I am piecing this together through google and youtube videos from Cleveland though.
Hi there, in general, Venice will be a bit more affordable especially as you go further South. Partially due to the shortage of housing supply in Sarasota, Venice has become very popular as well and the gap is closing.
I am a travel advisor , I would love to live in Sarasota but looks like all is skyrocketing. what about a small Comndo and what would it take to get into one, maybe first time buyer ?
You can probably get one for 250-300k depending on location. As long as you have patience, it'll work out. Multiple offer situations and above ask are very common, so chances are the first offer you'll put in won't go through. Work with an agent that can help guide you.

Venice has been ruined. What used to be a quiet town with easy to drive roads, has been destroyed. Natives are pissed off and depressed.
Sorry you feel that way. Change can be hard to adjust to especially when it seems like it happened fast.
