As always, stunningly beautiful filming, a delight to take in. Great to see 60532 Blue Peter back in service a more compact, better looking and more capable locomotive than the A1 imo.
@@JD0G69 Yes I know what a good whistle sounds like, and it doesn't sound like a cat being strangled. It would sound half decent if the owners arranged for all of the condensate in the system to be drained off before the dry steam supply reached the whistle. It's the water in the system that makes it sound so awful when it is first being blown. If it got steam straight away it wouldn't be half so bad. But, apart from that, nice engine.
Imagine being an old timer, not knowing of Blue Peter's restoration, sitting by the river one day and hearing that whistle in the distance, turning in surprise before assuring yourself it's just a memory you didn't mean to recall. Then you hear puffing. It gets closer, and louder. Oh, they've found Blue Peter's whistle and given it to another engine, how sweet. Then from around the corner...
This is truly Very GOOD NEWS !!..... "BLUE PETER" under steam again, after so long a time ! And sporting a wonderful sounding chime whistle too ! The Loco is indeed a work of art..... THANK YOU TO ALL THOSE INVOLVED IN THE RESTORATION EFFORTS!! LONG LIVE "BLUE PETER"!!!! And, as always Thank You STTW for posting another fine Video !!
That chime whistle for a second I thought was a NSWGR C38 class in the U.K. That sound from that 5 chimer is identical to how Australia's famous streamlined loco 3801 sounded like. 😊 lovely sound to it. Also job well done to you blokes over there in the U.K. Greetings from Australia.

That whistle is absolutely gorgeous. As is that livery can’t wait for her return to the mainline
Beautiful engine, terrible whistle. Sounds like a cat being strangled every time they blow it.
@@DerekWalsh-l4icouldn’t disagree more
@@DerekWalsh-l4iYou obviously don’t know what a good whistle sounds like then.

That whistle you are hearing is identical to Australia's N.S.W.G.R C38 class loco as 3801 whistle sounded exactly like that from 1986-2007. 😊
