Love the way you put in the smaller box so we could really see a close up of what you are doing. Your the best Angie. Great video!!
Yay! So happy you liked the little close up!
That close up video when placing your eyeshadow is a great idea! Really helps see your application process! Thank you Angie!
I agree! That was very helpful!
Hi I am watching from from France, thank you thank you, nobody has ever done a video for women with glasses. Angie you are fantastic ! Marie ange
I don’t know how you filmed this. But I fricking love how you inserted the eye closeup! Genius. Also I wear glasses and thank you for this!!
I agree! I wear glasses too. Can't see without them!
YES!!! As I usually listen and watch on my phone, the blown up insert was a huge (pun intended) help. Thank!! 💕
I love Glasses USA. Such good value. They look beautiful on you 💜
Excellent video! We are both in our 80's and are all about healthy aging. We still strive for a healthy body, a calm mind, and a positive outlook. And we feel better than ever! We are doing research for our new tiny UA-cam channel and learned a lot here. Thank you and keep it going!
Love the addition of the magnified inset Angie! That really helps to see what you are doing. Thanks!
I LOVE the picture in picture technic showing close up of the eye!
Can you do a video on choosing a pair of glasses for different type faces.
Yes, please!
Yes I second that!
Check out Lisa Eldridge "Makeup for Glasses" She is amazing, an expert.
I just don’t like the glittery shimmer eye shadow on me. I’m 63 and I think I’m too old for that.
Omg I couldn’t click any faster. Finally something thoughtful for our ageing eyes
I agree with Linda fantastic idea thanks that close up really helps!!!!
Great video! The close up box showing how you put on the eye makeup was very helpful! 😊
Thanks Angie! I really loved how you showed a close up of your eye in the square when you were applying shadow. It was very helpful.
Love, love, love the zoomed in pop up!
So happy to see this video. I had 20/20 vision until I was 40, and once I got to my late 40s I couldn't see clearly at all without glasses. I wear progressive lenses all day, switching to single vision prescription glasses for near vision when reading and working on the computer. It's been a tough transition, because along with presbyopia I now have astigmatism - so even with a 15x mirror and good light, fine detail work is out of the question because everything looks big, well lit, and blurry. Argh! I appreciate the detail of your tutorial and I look forward to trying out as many of these tips as possible. But mostly, I just really appreciate someone talking openly about the specific issues involved in putting on and wearing makeup with mature skin AND mature vision. Thank you!!
Thanks Angie! I wear glasses all the time! Love the tips and tricks you offer. Thanks so much!
Love my mirror. Saves me. Reveals parts of myself I’m not ready to talk about though. 😂
I know exactly what you mean love, it is amazing. Like a love and hate relationship. ......lol
K J Right? Omg. I’ve become my mother. 😭
Definitely a love/hate with the 10X mirror!!
😆
@@mallorydurrick , one of my biggest problem is hairs.....lol
Hair growing out places on my face that never grow before and with a x10 mirror you see them grow out daily. .......lol......lmao 😂 😂 😂
Thank you for your time Angie! I really enjoyed this video and I always appreciate how thorough you are.
Thank you 😊 Very pretty make up and the close up box while you applied was great!
I really like have the close up of your eye in the corner. It's really helpful to see what you're putting down on the eye. Great video as always!
Great video! I have not seen anyone else I watch cover this important topic. Good job!
Angie what a great video! Many thanks. And here’s a tip: the next time you get new lenses /glasses get non-reflective coating that eliminates the glare.
Fantastic video Angie!! I learned a lot. Thank you so much!!
Love the split screen. So much easier to see how you apply the eye makeup. 🌺
Oh Angie!! Love the close up insert! Great idea!!
I love learning from you! You are a great teacher! This was very helpful, as usual. Thank you.
Love the picture in picture close up eye application.
Thank you so much for this video. This is one of my struggles. I really enjoyed your tips and the close up of you applying the eye makeup was great. You always do such a wonderful job. I love your videos and website. I'll be 52 this year and I have found all your research to be so helpful on my journey through the hairy, sweaty, pimply, sleepless world of menopause 🙂
You inserted the eye closeup, THANK YOU!!
Hi, I have been learning so much from watching your videos. I am really glad you repeat teqniques in each video, it helps me learn and remember. Ive ordered the Lancome concealer and It powder. Im hoping they work great to cover my poors and eye wrikles for my wedding photos. I have hooded eyes and a round face. I have poors on my forehead that i think are noticeable. Ive been watching your tutorials over and over. Now its time to practice. Thank you so much. You are my favorite You Tube Star!
You are the best Angie! The light eyeshadow behind glasses is so logical! I will do that when I wear mine. Also, I have found that the vee tees from the Gap hold their shape on the vee trim.
Thanks for helping us to look the best that we can at any age.
You do amazingly thorough tutorials! As an RN who wears glasses to work for 12+ hour shifts, I really appreciate this tutorial! I have contacts but rarely wear them to work as I find reading very fine print (small medication vials) is much easier with my glasses. Thank you for sharing this!
This was a great video, especially for me, a 24/7 glasses wearer: ) Your videos are always so fun, informative and thoughtful... I look forward to new ones every week!! Faves/Fails are always at the top of my list!!! Have a super beautiful week, Angie!
Thank you Angie💞💞. I so appreciate this...brilliant video as always!
Great video. The close-up shot in the corner was amazing. Loved the final look.
Thank you for this great video for those of us who wear glasses. Loved the insert!
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you, Angie! Great tutorial for us eyeglass wearers. Loved the up close box to show eyeshadow technique!
Angie...What a great tutorial for those of us that wear glasses all day long until we go to bed!! I loved your eyeshadow look with your beautiful blue eyes, navy frames and denim shirt...You are just a class act that I love to learn from!! PS....I just received my Elta MD UV Elements SPF 44. I LOVE IT!!!! Thank you so much for your recommendation as I never have worn facial sunscreen...me bad!! I am also going to use the same Milani eyeshadow palette today. I have barely used it and I truly love the simple, yet beautiful look you created today!! Have a wonderful day, Angie!! I so enjoy your channel for us over 50 (but still trying!!!) xo Gina S Idaho
SW Idaho here, Meridian 🙋
@@carolynsanner8253 --I have driven thru Meridian and stayed in Boise a few times....I love this area!! Take care!!
Great tips! I gave up my contacts a few years ago on account of a never ending struggle with dry eye. I treat my glasses as an accessory and have four pairs, including teal blue. I always use a shimmer on my lids and find I can use some fairly bold colors, like red and lime green, because the lenses do mute them. I also need t apply blush with my glasses on because I can never get the placement right otherwise. Thanks, Angie.
Finally! Someone did a glasses video! Thank you!
This video was such a great idea. Good information. Thank you
Thank you! As a glasses wearer, I really appreciate this video!
Your make up tutorials and tips will never get old for me. I always learn something new. xoxo.
Hi Angie! :) I came across one of your other videos because my friend upgraded to the Dyson and gave me his Shark. I also wear glasses and have hooded eyes along with lovely bags and dark circles, which is why I also watched this one. I’ve been working in the optical industry (specifically retail) for 25 years and I can help solve the glare significantly. This is for everyone out there who has the same struggle.
A small factor is the index of the lenses but the biggest factor is the Anti-Reflective coating. There are hundreds out there and higher end companies have amazing coatings. I’ve never worked for either of the following companies and by no means am I promoting them. However, I know what’s out there and we have only used the following manufacturers. I don’t know if I can/allowed to write their full names but one manufacturer starts with H (their 2 best A/Rs start with E and R). The other manufacturer starts with Z (their best A/Rs start with P and B). There are authorized retailers all over the US. They should in theory, like we do, explain to you the differences of the A/R coatings in comparison to other manufacturers and show you samples so you can have all the information before you make a decision.
Also another tip and trick for everyone… to help reduce the accentuation of dark circles and bags is to wear glasses that have a shorter B measurement (that’s what is referred to the vertical/depth of the frame) and goes only to the the line of where the dark circles/bags end.
And for the final part of my dissertation, you are right about the bridge/ nose pads on frames :). Unfortunately, there is no foolproof way to prevent makeup from sticking to them which irritates the crap out of me. Frames with nose pad anchors which allow for different material nose pads to be used don’t prevent that either. We have every single material under the sun because we replace nose pads for customers when they get old, yellow from the oils on our skin and/or makeup, break, pop off etc. I’ve tried titanium, medical grade silicone, plastic, hypoallergenic, metal and acetate on my glasses and although some help more than others, at the end of the day I still have to wipe off the makeup.
I hope this info helps anyone who has these issues from a glasses perspective. As for the makeup, Angie nailed it and has personally helped me apply my makeup to enhance my eyes instead of making them look worse :)
So thank you Angie for helping me :) 🩵
Thank you for doing a video like this. I wear glasses and I wish more ppl done videos like this! Thanks ! ❤️😊
Thank you. Haven't been wearing much make up any more. Your tips are great and you are gorgeous with or without makeup. Love the name Hot and flashy lol...I have a mug that says, "Im still hot, it just comes in flashes"
I feel at least partly responsible for this video as I was one of the ones asking for it - thank you! Can’t wait to try some of these tips. X
🤩🤩🤩 loved this video!!!! Thank you ...I wear glasses all the time, and some of these tips are a great help!!! Thank you....Your videos are so interesting and i always find that i learn something every time...Thank you!♥️♥️♥️
Love love love!!! 😍 Definitely one to save and ‘apply along’ when I have some time to play. Thank you for your public service to mature women!! Helping us to look amazing & feel great. 🥰
Hay Angie-I watched another You Tuber a while back who applied the IT powder to the nose part of the glasses as well as to the bridge of our nose and it really helps avoid the mark. I sprinkle some powder in the lid then using my finger apply it to the glasses nose piece
Very helpful Angie! ;-) At my age, I feel this one is beyond the best for my eyes! For a little over a year, my eye lids have kinda lose skin. And now that I wear glasses. The video's I've watched for years of yours, don't work the same for me. Thank you much for this fabulous one!! I'll be stopping by much more. P.S. You still are the most beautiful!! ;-)
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! This was a great video as I'm a glasses wearer and never know how much make up is enough! :)
Also, I love the inset close up you show. Please do more often. If you could do so with your tight lining, that would be great. Thanks again!
The glasses struggle is real. Thank you for this
You look so pretty in glasses. I wear glasses and really appreciate this. Thanks!
You look great in your glasses, Angie! Thank you for the tips!
Hi Angie, great video! I don’t use that much makeup, only for special occasions. I have a wedding coming up and all your tips will come in handy. Keep up the good work. I’m 63 with normal to dry skin. The easier the better for me😁👍🏼.
Really love the close-up insert. Your tutorials have always been so easy to follow. You have a natural talent of breaking down the how-to steps that make me feel that I can actually try to do it myself. You take away the fear of it just being too complicated to even try. And the close up... that literally magnifies the possibilities.. thank you Angie, you are an inspiration!
I know plenty of people are going to say this but the way that you were able to insert an up close picture, of your eye, while you doing your eyeshadow was AMAZING!! I have never seen anyone do that, not even WAYNE GOSS!! 😳😳😳
You may have something here!!
I just want to say that you have helped me so much!!! You recommendations for skincare has gotten me on a GREAT path. My skin wanted me to thank you!!
Awww, that's so great to hear! You're welcome Jessica's skin!!
Same here!! Thanks Angie!
Same for me. Angie is the BEST.
What a fabulous video and I love the picture in picture feature.awesome
Great idea! Don't see too many videos out there for glasses although SO many women do wear glasses! Thanks 😊
Great post. Thank you. Drives me crazy wearing sunglasses as I do take them off & left w/ the marks. I remember you trying that velvet powder & it being somewhat helpful? Saw a blog where the girl took eyelash glue on the nose pads then powdered them every morning. Hehe
I also get the anti reflective coating that takes away the glare. Helps the eyes stand out more. Thanks for the magnification and the video!
I have no idea why I am not getting notifications for any of my favorite ladies!
With that said...this was a great makeup tutorial for glass wearers! Fantastic!
I will be getting two sets of frames now...light and dark! I love the size of your glasses, too.
You look so beautiful Angie! Thank you for this. XO ~Maria
Loved the close up inset you did! Thank you!
Angie, wonderful job . I love your video! Thank you
Great video! Thank you... Hoping you will do one to show how to do winged eyeliner. Eyes over 40 make it harder. I think there are two steps. First lid, open eyes, then wing. Hoping you can show us.
Great video Angie. I am professional photographer and glass glare, even lenses with non glare coating can be so hard. But you can’t use a ring light at all with them. Even a soft box is difficult . You handled it just fine for the video😁
Great tips! Your eyes look so pretty and they do stand out behind the lenses. Nice close-up shots when you were applying your eye makeup. Take care.
Thank you Angie. I have really big eyes but your tips suit me as well!! Love 💚
Thank you for the glasses makeup tips. I wear contacts but also like to wear my glasses in the evenings, to give my tired eyes a break. Much appreciated.
Love the tutorial for us who wear our glasses regularly!! Thank you!
Thank you so much for doing this!!! I wear glasses, and appreciate it!!!
Beautiful! I wear glasses and appreciate the tips.
I love the darker brow on you!
Angie, thanks so much for this. I'm at an age now where I wear my glasses more often than not. Now that zoom meetings are so much a part of our lives, either in business or socially, it really is great to have this kind of input, tips and tricks!
Thank you so much! I’ve been wearing glasses for years It’s such a struggle putting on eye makeup you have given me some great tips!
Good job! I loved the close up inset demo! Thank you!
Awesome! Totally need this. We’ll all wear glasses when the pandemic is over
Thanks Angie! I wear glasses and this was very helpful. When you think of getting new frames, check out the cat eye style...they really help to put the eyes up and they are super stylish! They would look so beautiful on you! 😘🥰
Thanks, I love your style 💋💪❤️❤️💕
Love this! Thank you Angie!!
Angie, I love how the emphasis is going up and you're so pretty! Thanks for doing this one. xo
I love it. Was trying to figure that nose issue glasses always slide down but a little powder works for me.😊
Hi Angie, i love your videos, and would love to see a video on color corrector for under eye circles , please.
I just bought some Maybelline Fit Me concealer and as I was trying it on and thinking "Wow, this is nice stuff." it occurred to me that since Maybelline and Lancome are both owned by L'oreal perhaps the formulas are similar. I just checked the ingredients and it turns out that they're virtually identical, except that the Maybelline is about $6 vs Lancome Maquicomplet at $31.
Here's the ingredient list for Maybelline Fit Me: Water (Aqua), Cyclopentasiloxane, Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Glycerin, Sorbitan Isostearate, Propylene Glycol, Titanium Dioxide, Ozokerite, Phenoxyethanol, Magnesium Sulfate, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Disodium Stearoyl Glutamate, Methylparaben, Acrylates Crosspolymer, Alumina, Butylparaben, Aluminum Hydroxide, Tocopherol, Silica, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria Flower Extract), May Contain Iron Oxides, Mica F.I.L.
Here's the list for Lancome Maquicomplet: Aqua / Water, Cyclopentasiloxane, Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Sorbitan Isostearate, Propanediol, Propylene Glycol, Ozokerite, Mel / Honey, Isobutane, Sodium Hyaluronate, Chamomilla Recutita Extract / Matricaria Flower Extract, Magnesium Sulfate, Disodium EDTA, Isopropyl Titanium Triisostearate, Maltodextrin, Centaurea Cyanus Flower Extract, Synthetic Fluorphlogopite, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Acrylonitrile/Methyl Methacrylates Copolymer, Tocopherol, Phenoxyethanol. May Contain: Iron Oxides, Titanium Dioxide
Thanks Suzy! On my way to CVS to get the Maybelline concealer 😊
Thank you! I’ve been wearing glasses my whole life it gets tricky with makeup especially nose pads. Also, I just tried the Zoeva basic moment palette that you recommended and it is sooooo beautiful! Thanks for the recommendation!
Angie, are you in my head?? This is so timely- I just got new glasses and they really magnify my undereye...yikes! Loving the closeup inset.
Thanks, Angie! From a grateful glasses wearer.
Wow you look amazing. And you didn't have to cake on the makeup to make it look fantastic! Thank you for yet another awesome video💜 I really like your glasses, they look really nice on you. Lots of❤ to you Angie💜 hope you're doing well and staying healthy💜
Thanks so much Laura!
Also, Kudos to you, big thank you for the close up magnified box to see your technique better.
Very helpful and informative! Thank you Angie ❤️
The frames really suit you, and I specially like the blue ones. I’ll have to check out that Sephora liner you used. Be well and stay safe
Yvonne Charneskey yesssss! I love the blue ones on her!!
Great video. I wear glasses full-time. I want to lyk that my rope blanket came in from Nordstrom. I am thrilled with it. Of course I had to test it out in case i needed to return it. My husband's stipulation was that it was a Christmas present, but he tried it & loves it too. So we agreed that it can stay out. It may seem like a simple thing, but with all the Covid craziness, it is bringing me such joy. Thank you so much for your suggestion and encouragement. You're awesome, Angie, and affect folks lives in ways you don't even realize. ❤
Oh yay!! You've made my day Mary! I'm so happy you both love the blanket and are using it now... we all need that little hug now more than ever! I love how you and hubs are a team! xo ~a.
Very thank you for your video and tips. I wear glasses that magnifies my eyes and I love the result of your makeup! The Chanel ultra le teint velvet is in my whyslist!!!!!!!! Kisses from Spain!
Thank you !! Real world makeup advice 🙌⭐️⭐️⭐️
I love your videos!! I watch them the soon after you send them to UA-cam. I was wondering if you did any videos recently on setting spray. I especially wanted to see your opinion on NYX matte finish. I take your recommendations on other things also. Like the Method cleaning spray, it is amazing and smells really great. I also bought a sweater you recommended from the Nordstrom sale for my sister, she loved it and said it is so soft. Thanks for brightening my day!!!
I'm a optician you can get the non-glare put just on the back side of the lens it helps you with glare and people can see your beautiful eyes I agree with the nose put alittle powder no foundation or concealer I'm also a high plus prescription which makes my eyes look bigger..love the under eye ideas....Thank You
I got the non-glare coating, but maybe it's on the outside?
Hey Angie!! I LOVE your channel and I just want to thank you for changing my skin!! My skin is similar to yours, and I grew up on a beach in Florida! Completely fried myself in the sun when I was younger! By my late 40’s, I had brown spots, wrinkles, and big pores. I was so confused as to where to start and happened on your channel. I found your latest skin care guide and signed up with Curology, and am SO happy with the results after 2 years! I know you get a lot of emails, but thank you so much for educating and encouraging me and all of your followers.
Also, know you get alot of requests, but I’d LOVE your take on the Peach & Lily Glass Skin Refining serum. I have been having excellent results, especially with brightening and firming.
Thank you so much for your time.
Paige
Great tutorial, as always! Thanks so much!
Great info on the blush/highlighter!
Wow, you are REALLY good at eye makeup! Do you have another shadow tutorial?
