- Valerie Bertinelli and her son, Wolf Van Halen, chat with ET at the 64th annual GRAMMY awards, airing Sunday at 8 p.m. ET/ 5 p.m. PT on CBS. Valerie gets emotional over her son's best rock song nomination for 'Distance,' a tribute song to his late father, Eddie Van Halen. The mother and son are accompanied by Wolf's girlfriend, Andraia Allsop, who says she's 'so proud' to stand by her boyfriend on this special night. They also discuss Wolf's social media joke about being thankful that Kylie Jenner changed her son's name.

His father had the chance that every father dreams of, and that is the opportunity to work and perform with his son. Side by side, every night on stage playing bass for the undisputed champion that was his father! I had the opportunity to see them together on stage and it was special. Eddie knew this would be the start of a legendary career for his son that was based from his son's own talents, and aspirations. Not a mere copy of dad, but an artist with his own sounds and abilities! Huge fan of both!

@Sara Mill Wolf began touring FT with Van Halen when he was 16 (still maintaining all his studies with the help of a tutor that traveled with them), & was living in his own place by 18. Pretty certain Ed & Val raised an incredibly self sufficient kid. Nice try!

I absolutely love Valerie! She is such a stunning, wonderful woman, and mom! It must be extremely hard for both of them, knowing Eddie wasn’t physically there… but he was there. I saw Wolf play with Van Halen during his first tour with his Dad, he definitely has his Dad’s music and talent in his blood! CONGRATULATIONS WOLF!!!!!

Valerie still has the same hairstyle that she had when she was on one day at a time. She still has the same young sounding voice too and I think that's great. She's still pretty. I remember when I was a little girl I used to look up to her when she was a teenager on one day at a time. I loved watching that show because of her acting and her presence. I still enjoy watching the reruns sometimes.

@@teresaf991 Not really. I haven't seen 70 Styles out there much at all except at retro parties. I see more 80's styles coming back here and there. All styles eventually imitate past eras as they run out of ideas and changes to make in clothes and hairstyles. But I like that style on her anyway. If you watch the reruns you'll see that it is the same exact hairstyle that she had in the later part of the series when she was older and getting married. I watch the reruns sometimes and saw a few episodes recently.

I grew up watching Valerie in One Day at a Time and had the hugest crush on her. I love the way she talks about him and calls him Wolfie. Makes you feel like he's part of your own family.

Awe... This was so heartwarming to watch. I've always loved Valerie Bertinelli on One Day at a time. She probably was close to her character Barbara a good and level headed person. I hope he realizes how lucky and blessed he is to have a parent so genuinely happy for him. They seem to have a close and loving relationship. So many people don't have that nor have ever experienced it. Kudos Wolfie!!

What a wonderful credit to Valerie and Eddie. They raised a humble, kind, compassionate, talented musician AND man. Rarely do we see such obvious adoration and genuine affection for the parents from a celebrity's child...let alone the child of celebrities of Eddie and Valerie's caliber. I remember right before I had my first child, I read an article that said becoming a mother is like falling in love. In the video for "Distance" it is so touching to see Eddie literally falling in love with his son. It is clear that he absolutely adored Wolfie...and demonstrated that love to his son. Valerie and Eddie have given us a gifted musician to enjoy....and a decent, honorable young man as well.
