I think it's amazing the human body is capable of stopping bullets on occasion; even a headshot is able to recover. Those two men are lucky to have survived.
The round must have went threw something before it hit his head because the round had to be going slower then normal if it didn't penetrate the skull. Good thing e still survived tho that's all that matters
+dog cat That or it was from a very long distance, so that the bullet had less velocity.

THANK YOU FOR WHAT U DO!!! I'm actually the only one in my fam that hasn't gone into the service and it was my dream since my dad took me downtown Portland to a recruiter at 6 yrs old. I later got taken from my fam and placed into numerous foster homes until 9 yrs old then was adopted and lived with the fam till I was 16. That year,16, was a life changing action that wouldn't allow me to serve (was an idiot and stole a car with a group of people who where in foster homes as well). Been down hill ever since so THANK YOU for doing what others can only dream about.
How long ago did this happen, if you have stayed out of trouble since, you may be able to get a waiver for that if you really want to serve good luck.
Yeah stay out of trouble, as a minor you should be able to get that expunged from your record and then you could join the military.
I have an assault charge that gets cleared off of my record when I turn 18. It shouldn’t be on your record after 18.

Don't make the veterans homeless please 💔
Nobody is making veterans homeless. If a veteran returns home safe then he will probably live a normal life. However if the veteran took mental damage, such as ptsd, they may have trouble finding jobs and therefore can't afford a home. When the veterans in Afghanistan come back, they probably will be funded by the government. However, WW2 veterans were called in by the draft. That means that there were a lot more soldiers since people were forced to go to war. The US can't financially support so many people. But now going into war is voluntary.
Kevethizo Venyo better tell your fellow taxpayers to cough up more military funding then. Or donate to charity.
Kevethizo Venyo they don't go broke, they can get jobs... They just lazy some of em
Amen to that.
Not to the laziness, but to the not going homeless, although they usually dont.
As a former Army Ranger I worked with Pathfinders and almost went to their school back in the 80's. wish I had. They are experts at their mission. RLTW.
Wow you're an old boy, no disrespect meant. My father was in the pathfinders in the 80s, he passed last year but I'll always remember him joking with me saying you might be a pilot son but you'd never make a pathfinder, you're too soft for that. I reckon he was right but he was always immensely proud of me and I of him. I'd say you missed out but maybe it was a godsend, anyway regardless of all that thankyou for your service and keep on keeping on. We need more guys like you in this world. I looked at your picture and I reckon you'd have had what it takes to be a pathfinder.
@@chucknutly3290 they offered Pathfinder School when I was in. Sorry for your loss.
@@lawsonransom8318There's really nothing to be sorry for, he was a warrior. He figuratively and quite literally died with his boots on without any pain but maybe a few seconds looking up at a blue sky and I got to hold his hand and tell him everything was gonna be fine. He smiled for a couple of seconds and then he just died right there and then. That was the first time I'd seen anything like that but it wasn't ugly or disturbing to me really. I mean I'd seen dead animals before and watched horrible things but I'd never actually seen a person die before and it was my daddy right in my arms, me thinking what should I do but nothing could be done. We were sat in a hide duck hunting and his heart just gave out when we were stepping out to go back home, right there and then he fell back on me and I thought he'd just lost his footing or slipped at first but then I realized something was really wrong when I saw his face on the ground helpless. I think he must have known something because he'd shot twice as many ducks that day and then some as me but he never bragged or gave me tips, nothing like he usually would, no he seemed peaceful for once and I miss him every day and think about that. I'm not glad he's gone but I'm glad that's the way he went but I appreciate you replying really and so promptly too, I wasn't expecting that. I wish you the very best.
@@lawsonransom8318 I tell you what wasn't easy. Leaving his body there. I found that hard. It was just me and him out there maybe a couple of miles from the truck but I couldn't carry him, I weigh maybe 160 pounds and I'm 6 feet tall and full of muscle but my dad was about 200 pounds at least and he was 6 foot 4 and it didn't seem right to move him really after that. I sat there for maybe 5 minutes trying to resuscitate him, I was punching on his chest and crying and screaming but I gave up quick because I knew he was gone, he was done and I was done we were tired I pushed it too hard and he was a pathfinder so he wasn't gonna let me best him. I don't blame myself but I just think what if sometimes. That's just the way it is I suppose. I talk to him all the time and I know that sounds crazy but i think what would he say or how would he handle this and I realize we aren't the same man but we both believe in the same things so I try to protect that the best I can like he did. He knew something I think. I don't know if you can teach bravery but my pops sure did a good job showing me. He was a pathfinder. I wake up every morning and say first in last out because of him.
@@lawsonransom8318 You don't have to read all that. I wrote it in a rush because I'm upset, I just find it therapeutic or cathartic or something like that to write instead of well worse things. I don't mean to dump a bunch of stuff on you but that's just my way of an apology. I'm not very good at writing so I have to practice it some way and the only real way I know is the hard way.

Weird!
I was First Sergeant of HHC, 5/101st Avn. Bn., when the Pathfinder Company, Fox Company, was assigned to our Battalion. We deployed to Tikrit, Iraq in 2005 -2006. Those Pathfinders did a great job performing the 'Eagle Watch' and other missions.
They were the only Pathfinder Company in the 101st. Putting them directly in the UH-60 Blackhawk battalion was efficient and effective.
What company were you in. I might know you because I was a first sergeant too.
@@foggymountainmusic3468 I was First Sergeant in Charlie Company and then later Headquarters Company, 5th Bn/101st Aviation.

LOL WHAT? THEY STILL READ THE 9 LINE MEDVAC LIST OFF THE SHEET?
My drill sgt, scared us into memorizing what to say, in correct order before we took our phase tests
D.S. Red yes. You can't just say the entire 9 line off the cuff. One of the important things on there is the grid coordinates. You fill out the card then read from it while calling it in. I can tell you've never been in combat
never seen combat but a friend of mine who was in the army reserve (interesting unit as they were all airborn qualified) let me take the CLS course when i was 14 because i was a JROTC cadet got an award coin and certificate this is after they stopped teaching how to use IV's because people were over using them so id say it was around 2012?
it stands for Combat Life Saver its basically advanced first aid covering combat trauma they also teach you how to transport injured and how to call in a 9 line MEDEVAC/CASEVAC
I used to be a pathfinder I was an RTO for the 4-101 pfdrs and I had cards for every report that I would need cards for CCA and frequencies laminated when you’re in it it’s different than training and the cards help tremendously to keep things straight and keep a cool head

If it was written by the Army, they would have gotten the abbreviations for the rank right. The Marine doing the reporting is clearly the one who wrote it, since they used the Marine abbreviations for SSG (SSgt).

Sorry for your loss, what unit was he in?
Gilmer Monk don't even worry about the little person. They probably have some type of serious internalized inferiority complex, so they try to 'enrage others' and 'harm others' to show they are 'superior' because they can control someone's emotions. (or at least they think so subconsciously).
It's the age old tactics of the "bully on the schoolyard". Usually some pathetically weak-inside little boy that gets a kick out of dogging others, because he tricks himself into thinking it builds him up to be "better" than them.
So, you'll have to excuse his ignorance. He just probably knows no other way and this is the only way he feels good about himself for all the years of neglect and/or lack of hugs and care from mommy.
Andyroo757 Triggered? Nah, not at all. lol
Just letting the woman know why some random stranger would even waste their time trying to get their rocks off from her pain of losing a son.
Trolling is "non-serious, light hearted fun, at getting people agitated". But, when someone tries to self-capitalize off of an innocent woman's pain, and hides behind the 'trolling' excuse, they're really just showing how mentally and/or intellectually defeated they are inside. :(
So, no, not triggered, or mad, or really any anger whatsoever. I more or less feel sorrow and sadness for you. Because it's really sympathetic that somewhere along the way you have been hurt, or disrespected or uncared for or abandoned emotionally, to the level that you have to result to attempting to insult other's recently deceased children as a way to "have fun" or whatever. So, yes, I feel bad for you and I sympathize with whatever in your life has caused you to desire to waste your time in this way as a means of "fun", or whatever else it does for you. :/
