I later got taken from my fam and placed into numerous foster homes until 9 yrs old then was adopted and lived with the fam till I was 16. That year,16, was a life changing action that wouldn't allow me to serve (was an idiot and stole a car with a group of people who where in foster homes as well). Been down hill ever since so THANK YOU for doing what others can only dream about.

    • @p0tat098
      @p0tat098 6 років тому +18

      Nobody is making veterans homeless. If a veteran returns home safe then he will probably live a normal life. However if the veteran took mental damage, such as ptsd, they may have trouble finding jobs and therefore can't afford a home. When the veterans in Afghanistan come back, they probably will be funded by the government. However, WW2 veterans were called in by the draft. That means that there were a lot more soldiers since people were forced to go to war. The US can't financially support so many people. But now going into war is voluntary.

I'd say you missed out but maybe it was a godsend, anyway regardless of all that thankyou for your service and keep on keeping on. We need more guys like you in this world. @@lawsonransom8318There's really nothing to be sorry for, he was a warrior. He figuratively and quite literally died with his boots on without any pain but maybe a few seconds looking up at a blue sky and I got to hold his hand and tell him everything was gonna be fine. He smiled for a couple of seconds and then he just died right there and then. That was the first time I'd seen anything like that but it wasn't ugly or disturbing to me really. I mean I'd seen dead animals before and watched horrible things but I'd never actually seen a person die before and it was my daddy right in my arms, me thinking what should I do but nothing could be done. We were sat in a hide duck hunting and his heart just gave out when we were stepping out to go back home, right there and then he fell back on me and I thought he'd just lost his footing or slipped at first but then I realized something was really wrong when I saw his face on the ground helpless. I think he must have known something because he'd shot twice as many ducks that day and then some as me but he never bragged or gave me tips, nothing like he usually would, no he seemed peaceful for once and I miss him every day and think about that. I'm not glad he's gone but I'm glad that's the way he went but I appreciate you replying really and so promptly too, I wasn't expecting that. I wish you the very best.

I sat there for maybe 5 minutes trying to resuscitate him, I was punching on his chest and crying and screaming but I gave up quick because I knew he was gone, he was done and I was done we were tired I pushed it too hard and he was a pathfinder so he wasn't gonna let me best him. I don't blame myself but I just think what if sometimes. That's just the way it is I suppose. I talk to him all the time and I know that sounds crazy but i think what would he say or how would he handle this and I realize we aren't the same man but we both believe in the same things so I try to protect that the best I can like he did. He knew something I think. I don't know if you can teach bravery but my pops sure did a good job showing me. He was a pathfinder. I wake up every morning and say first in last out because of him.

      D.S. Red yes. You can't just say the entire 9 line off the cuff. One of the important things on there is the grid coordinates. You fill out the card then read from it while calling it in. I can tell you've never been in combat

      never seen combat but a friend of mine who was in the army reserve (interesting unit as they were all airborn qualified) let me take the CLS course when i was 14 because i was a JROTC cadet got an award coin and certificate this is after they stopped teaching how to use IV's because people were over using them so id say it was around 2012?

      Gilmer Monk don't even worry about the little person. They probably have some type of serious internalized inferiority complex, so they try to 'enrage others' and 'harm others' to show they are 'superior' because they can control someone's emotions. (or at least they think so subconsciously).
      It's the age old tactics of the "bully on the schoolyard". Usually some pathetically weak-inside little boy that gets a kick out of dogging others, because he tricks himself into thinking it builds him up to be "better" than them.
      So, you'll have to excuse his ignorance. He just probably knows no other way and this is the only way he feels good about himself for all the years of neglect and/or lack of hugs and care from mommy.

    • @strikeforcek9149
      @strikeforcek9149 7 років тому +78

      Andyroo757 Triggered? Nah, not at all. lol
      Just letting the woman know why some random stranger would even waste their time trying to get their rocks off from her pain of losing a son.
      Trolling is "non-serious, light hearted fun, at getting people agitated". But, when someone tries to self-capitalize off of an innocent woman's pain, and hides behind the 'trolling' excuse, they're really just showing how mentally and/or intellectually defeated they are inside. :(
      So, no, not triggered, or mad, or really any anger whatsoever. I more or less feel sorrow and sadness for you. Because it's really sympathetic that somewhere along the way you have been hurt, or disrespected or uncared for or abandoned emotionally, to the level that you have to result to attempting to insult other's recently deceased children as a way to "have fun" or whatever. So, yes, I feel bad for you and I sympathize with whatever in your life has caused you to desire to waste your time in this way as a means of "fun", or whatever else it does for you. :/
