Doc, you are a saint for display of empathy. My doctor never asked me how I was doing until after the process was done. He also didn't explain to me what he was going to be doing, which would have helped me to prepare for the pain.
Thank you! These are so painful - I feel terrible for my patients! Please don't forget to like, share, and subscribe, if you don't already! ;)
Bless her heart, I was hurting for her. Great job, as always, Doc!! Love your bedside manner and love all of your videos! Have a fantastic week!!❣️❣️
Debra Woodard She was a trooper, for sure! Thank you! 🙏🏽
Debra Wood
I've watched so many different doctors do these procedures, it's amazing how different they handle the cysts.
We all have our own, uniques style! ;)
Another satisfying video, not so much for the patient but I liked it! Lol
Thanks Doc, you rock!
MiMi J2 Thank you! Fortunately, she’s doing great! 😉
That was awesome! Thank you for sharing. P.S. I like how you reply to your posts.
Anita Morrison Thank you! Please don’t forget to like, share, and subscribe! 😉
You're such a compassionate doctor, helping your patient with an abscess. I confess I'm amazed by people's comments and criticisms!
Thank you for sharing and please stay safe!👌🌈
Thank you! You stay safe too! ;)
He is a doll and his patients are so blessed to have him. ❤
@@kfb141 Absolutely!👍
@@kfb141 Thank you! ;)
We always live through the events but sure don’t feel good. It’s helps ease pain knowing it’s one cool Doc taking care of you
You're very kind! Thank you! ;)
Great job as usual Doc!!!
regina rodriguez Thank you! 🙏🏽
I love to watch you work. Your hands are so skillful
Thank you! ;)
lol. I love how many times he said “we’re done” and he kept going while calling her strong. Love this Dr👍🙌
She’s a tough one, for sure! 🙏🏽
ooooo that was a mucky one!! I loved it xx
Dr your bedside manner is the best. So kind and considerate to your patients. Just wondering, was there any numbing medicine given before you started? Thanks doc!
Here I Go Again watching another one of your videos learning because I have so many friends that are terrified of doctors and for some reason they all know that I watch your videos and they always come to me so I always watch them so I can learn now I'm watching an abscess the worst videos are the home ones dirty nails with no gloves and just using a needle to pop it and that's how it gets infected
London Sage Don’t try this at home!
Excellent video. So, no incision so it healed on its own?
Thank you! It actually presented with an opening, which was already draining. This one will close up on its own.
Axilary??
Ouch, that hurt just looking at it. She was awfully brave, I probably would ask for a towel to bite on.
She was a real trooper! ;)
Wow❤❤
🙏🏽
Doc 8f you do this to me ima cuss your ass out
... Just forgive me because I dnt mean it 😂 😂
Hahaha! Understood! ;)
❤
🙏🏽
Ow !
This was a painful one ...
สุโค่ย
Why not numbing shots?
It actually distends the tissue further causing more discomfort for my patient and makes it harder to drain the contents.
Dr. Mudgil interesting!
@@DrMudgil is it also due to the acid based shift since it’s an abscess? Since it won’t numb it as well…
Yikes!!
If you use 4 fingers, you can empty the contents better. When you only use 2 to squeeze it just moves the contents from side to side. Just saying?
Harriet P Can’t get as much leverage with four fingers, and you also lose a bit of “feel” - that’s why I rotate the position of my fingers.
That's a dilly!
Yes, indeed! ;)
Juicy grits
No numbing??
Amyzing It actually distends the tissue further causing more discomfort and makes it harder to drain the contents.
@@DrMudgil thank u for explaining that to me.
@@amyzing3410 This patient seemed to be in tremendous pain. Numbing shots seem far more compassionate than raw, pressing of the abscess. As someone whose worked in a hospital, I can't imagine denying our patients numbing shots for this kind of procedure. It's far more kind than to cause senseless suffering like that...Even numbing spray could have minimized the torture she was going through. SAYING she's a tough trooper, tough as nails and other platitudes did not help ease her pain. A patient of ours once told a physician I worked with, "Just because you say I'm sorry ten times, doesn't mean I hurt any less!"
Or how about a narcotic injection that would dull her pain? Nowadays the medical field is so terrified of causing addiction, they deny narcotics even in the most painful procedures.
@@msky6508 There are multiple reasons why this is a terrible idea. One, there is no pain after, so there's no need for narcotics. Two, the patient came to the office alone and is elderly - if she were given a narcotic, it wouldn't be safe to send her home. Further, I have no issue prescribing a post-operative narcotic, and do so should my patient be in need of one! ;)
Sorry, all done. Not done🥵
OMFG ... for a few seconds there after 0:03 I would have sworn he licked his fucking fingers after squeezing it the first time 🤢the mental image came to mind before ic ould stop it......and here I was thinking my brain and I were on the same team..... clearly not🤢
No hay higiene
looks like maggots in there at one point
Why no anaesethic
Please read through the comment thread - this is explained elsewhere.
There is no reason he couldn't give her more lidocaine shot other than him being lazy
That's actually not the case at all! The pain of the skin distending from the lidocaine injections is very painful in these settings.
Not an expert but seems like it would have been more comfortable to the client if it had been opened up just saying...
Donna Donato “Patient” not “client” ... it was already open and draining at presentation. There was no reason to injure the tissue further.
Lidocaine would have helped her, but you are against it. I would never see you as a doctor, making your patients suffer as you do.
That’s actually not the case - I explain why elsewhere in the comments section. Thank you in advance for sparing me … 🙏🏽
@@DrMudgil why is Vaseline/ aquafor your choice for wound coverage ???
@@Sandra-dm8rd It doesn't cause allergy and gets the job done perfectly. Other OTC antibiotic preparations are highly allergenic. ;)
