Great job, Doc!! I’m sure she instantly was and is feeling much better now...that had to be some kind of painful. Great patient❣️
You are so kind to your patients. They seem to really like you. FYI: you're VERY easy on the eyes. Thanx for another great video.
Thank you Dr Mudgil for sharing this procedure. I'm sure your patient is feeling much better after your expert intervention.👌😊
Good shot doc. I would never wish an abcess under anyone's arm pit. A zit is bad enough. Two thumbs up 👍 👍.
Wow! That was soo cool. I can’t imagine the pain. She was an awesome patient.
She is amazing ❤blessing to all nurses and doctors
Hi Doc, OMG that poor girl. But, she was in good hands. As always you are the best. LU
That was gnarly! So cool!
What a way to start a Monday wow that thing was huge and that squirt holy cow! Good job Dr mudgill!
I cannot imagine ever having one. Obsessed with other people's 😄 Thanks Doc
DOC❣️🙏🏼BLESS YOUR HEART YOU HANDLED THAT SOOOOOO WELL❣️❣️❣️REALLY BIG ABSCESS FOR SUCH A SMALL AREA‼️‼️‼️🙏🏼I’m HOPING your going to be removing that cyst for her when it grows back🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼🥴🙏🏼(I know, I’m weird‼️🥰🥰🥰☺️👍🏼❤️🇨🇦❤️
You are so kind and gracious to your patients. The young med students can learn so much from you. Thank you !
That was one heck of an abscess! Lots of icky stuff in there too. You always amaze me how calm you are when doing a procedure even if you get squirted. I bet patient will be feeling better quickly. Nice job Dr mudgil! 🙂
Good job, I loved how compassionate you are with your patients, and I hope she's feeling better. I know from first hand experience how painful these are. The dermatologist I saw said I got it from not being clean enough, and not shaving, so the bacteria built up and an abscess formed. What a sweetheart... 😨
Thank you! She's feeling MUCH better! These are very painful, for sure. The dermatologist you saw didn't know what he/she was talking about, by the way ...
@@DrMudgil Yeah, he was a real delight. He also yanked a mole off me without enough lidocaine. That was the end of our medical relationship😡
@@marthawood3367 sounds like someone to avoid! Yikes!🐨. Sounds as awful as my orthopaedic surgeon, who blamed me for getting an ulcer on the back of my hip. It was, however his Mazor robot's attachment that was the cause, not me. He did not stitch the one inch wound that came from said attachment! He also did a rotten job of the two spinal fusions eight weeks apart! A real charmer to be sure. Everything that went wrong was all my fault of course!👎👎
I’m just curious as to why you didn’t go in and break up any lockulations?
This abscess wasn’t really loculated, just swollen. My patient felt much better the next day. 😉
Sweet video. I was feeling that some Eminem might really go well with this one. Just sayin'! ;) Thx for sharing doc. This was the COOLEST patient. A nurse. ;)
Oh, my goodness-that had to hurt terribly! An armpit is really, really tender! 🥴😳😖
It was very painful, for sure! Fortunately, my patient felt much better soon after we drained it. 😉
This was one of the best pop I seen in sooo long. Great job on filming it was like I really was in the room watching but I was sooo happy I wasn’t because I didn’t want to get a shot of pus haha 😂
I become active with MRSA and it looks a lit like this. Have many scars in armpits. Hopefully patient it better. The pressure and pain is horrible.
These seem common. Do we know the cause? Thank you for sharing this.
These are bacterial - this particular one was caused by a Proteus strain. Most are caused by Staph.
@@DrMudgil thank you! I know staph and strep live on the skin. This I am not familiar with, YET! Thank you for my new search topic. 🤗✌️
@@DrMudgil you truly are a lovely human. Is there any way we can prevent these types of infections?
@@exquisitecandy2684 Most of these are simply 'the cost of living" - they randomly occur.
Does you numbed the area before surgery??
Sou do Brasil, é da área de saúde aposentada
It must be so painful under the arm. I love to watch you defy gravity with the discharge running upwards. 😁
It was very painful - fortunately, my patient felt much better in a day or so! 🙏🏽
How sweet of you to continuously apologize! So kind and considerate. 🩷
Estupendo lo sigo en tiktok pero aki es mejor
E-gads!!!! That was a lot of pus!! I think I would cover that over with a gauze first couple of squeezes..lol. I hope you weren't in the line of fire, or did it get you? Great job Dr.! New sub from Georgia, I hope you have a blessed day!!
Welcome to my channel! This one did get me, but it’s all good. My patient is doing much better! 😉
Why is this satisfying😅
Gostaria de uma mensagem do Dr.mudgiĺ olhando pra mim. Com tradutor
Those HURT !! Had one several years back . . man it hurting popping it !
Wow Dr Mudgil there Should not be one thumbs Down. As Always you have done An Amazing Job.Great Bed Side Manners I think that's So important.
Thank you! Can't avoid the "thumbs down" - you know you've made it when the "haters" show face ... ;)
I was wondering if you got the contents splattered on you and reading the comments I saw you say that you did 😬. I love when we see you and you're standing back to prevent getting hit. It gives an idea of what you must do. I keep thinking about the one a short time ago when I was worried your wristwatch ⌚ was going to be hit. 🙈 From a faithful fan in canada
Just curious if there was a cyst wall sack in there? If so what's the chances of it returning? She said she was a nurse, did the C&S come back MRSA? All us healthcare workers are in for hell when we get sick. I'm sure we are all carriers 😩
This was an abscess (not cyst), so there was no wall/sac. These typically don't recur once drained and treated. This one grew out a Proteus species bacteria. ;)
I was wondering why you didn't flush it or make the incision a little bigger since she wasn't feeling any pain to see if you could remove just a little more?
She was actually in a lot of pain, but was a great sport about it. Those measures aren’t typically necessary - she felt much better later that night, and was nearly back to normal in 2-3 days.😉
Those are extremely painful poor kid
Holy cow that was a bunch of squirt matter. Plus it gotcha and you didn’t flinch 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 great job and video
Why did she wait so long to get it drained
Darn! I wanted to see what was blocking that from draining all the way.
I imagine the armpit would be 1 of the more painful areas to have an abscess or cyst
More like this
Why didn’t try to break up some locutions that might have been in there? Just a question? No critique...God Bless Doctor🙏🏼🍀👋🏼🇨🇦
Great question! There was actually nothing else to drain - the skin was just VERY swollen.
No needed to break any pockets inside?
It seemed still full of solid material...
It was actually all swelling - there were no loculations. Patient was better in a day or two. ;)
Omg I can imagine that was so sore until they got all of that purse out of there
Trying to sleep as it’s 5 am and then you pop up , which is ok because I can’t sleep anyway. That was kind of messy.
@@danielhausser8038 I have arthritis in both knees bone on bone and it felt like someone hit me with a bat so this was a welcome video. I love dr. Mudgil’s work
@@susanpearson2165 Sorry to read about your condition. I do not have arthritis, but I frequently cannot sleep for other reasons. These videos help me relax.
IDK, Doc.. I think there's something bigger inside that's dying to be pushed out.. Hbu? 🤔
Nah - that’s actually mostly swelling and inflammation. My wonderful patient felt much better the next day. 😉
Ouch
How was she not screaming!? That pain is FURIOUS. How do you know how deep to poke it?
It squirted and it's chucky yay! Love it.🤗
I would’ve like to see him stick a Q-tip in there and break it up a little bit
Armpit as a weapon. Shoots a long way.
Nice fountain at 1:42
Nostrils??? Does the cortisone(spelling?) actually help?
I wouldn't inject cortisone if it didn't help! It reduces the inflammation around the abscess, which helps a lot with the pain. Bacteria frequently colonize the nostrils and can seed abscesses.
@@DrMudgil That's very interesting. Is the nasal spray an antibiotic, and the act of breathing can reinfect the abcess?
@@marthawood3367 It's an ointment applied to the nostrils, which sometimes are colonized by virulent bacteria.
@@DrMudgil Never heard of that, you learn something new everyday. Thanks, Doc!💚
Wow did you wear that one, must have hit a pocket. Women handle so much more pain, lots in there. Thanks for sharing your journey, I cannot imagine the embarrassment when we have a shooter that gets the Dr.,part of the job, what can you do, but get better
I would have made the cut bigger at the beginning, then it would have been easier. After a while you can no longer see the cut in the armpit. Had that too and you can't see anything anymore.
But...well done doc....as always 😘
Thank you. I'm always about making the smallest incision possible. It's much easier for the patient post-op.
@@DrMudgil This one centimeter helps us and does not cause any problems for the patient to heal. My opinion..
Poor thing I hope they get the hairs out that shit look like it hurts bad
Even with all the squeezing it still looked swollen
Yup - these will stay swollen from the inflammation for a few days, but the patient feels much better within hours.
Everyone loves watching these, but the never tell you about the smell
After watching you drain this cyst, I’m curious why you didn’t cut it open further and drain it out all the way in stead of sending her home to let it drain out on its own? It would of been so much better for her to get it all removed and then suture, do you not agree?
This was an abscess (a bacterial infection), not a cyst. These shouldn’t be sutured as that can potentially “seal” the bacteria in - it’s best to allow for continued drainage. My patient did wonderfully. 😉
Doctor, I would love to marry you...but unfortunately you are already married!😩 Happy monday from Italy!
You're very sweet! I've been very happily married to my beautiful wife for almost 17 years! Happy Monday to you too! ;)
I dislike the "I'm sorry" that doctors constantly repeat without thought. I know its gonna hurt but not forever. The pain will pass, I know that!
Dr.i'm sorry😂
Isn’t the doctor supposed to swab the inside of the abcess rather than the pus, which is dead white cells?
Thank you for being so professional and not yelling yuck or gross it squirted etc...your bedside manner and the way you carry on while doing this amazing procedure..hoping the patient is feeling better 🙏🏻
Thank you! Just one human helping another! My patient is feeling much better! ;)
@@DrMudgil i have watched many of your videos and many other videos of people getting things taken care of medically and I would say that I appreciate the way you just keep speaking softly and nicely even if it is “gross” or painful for the patient to go through..I know I would appreciate it if I were in their shows..so thank you for being a great doctor to your patients..watching from Canada 🇨🇦
@@JaimeThomas Many thanks to you! ;)
You had a great observation and comment, Jamie. Professionalism can be sparse, on this platform, but our dear Dr. Mudgil never fails to show compassion and decorum. The patient was also lovely when she was more concerned about the doctor’s situation than her own.
@@fleurdebee7024 My patient was quite lovely, indeed! She's a nurse AND nurses are always looking out for others! ;)
