  • The Eventide Rose is a modulated delay with a ton of fun features. One of my favorite features is the Hotswitch, which can be assigned to control tap tempo, infinite repeat, delay multiplier, and more. The delay multiplier changes the sample rate, resulting in pitch and rhythmic changes. Towards the end of the video, I'm using my midi controller alongside the Rose for expanded functionality.

Finally a good review that covers the features I wanted to hear. The modulation sounds amazing. If only it was stereo 😔

Do you have to use a MIDI box in between the controller and the Rose, or just a MIDI-TRS cable? Thanks, for the great demo too, one of the best I've seen.

You can use a midi-trs cable but it needs to be tip active. I use a disaster area midi box which allows for each output to be set independently. Pedals that take 1/4 midi differ depending on brand. If you’re doing midi with multiple pedals I’d suggest getting a midi box, then you won’t need all the different cables.

@@DougHanson thanks so much. I've avoided MIDI with my pedals thus far, but I have a couple now that would clearly benefit from having more control. And yes, I'm a bit confused regarding all the different cable options :D

I notice you use different buttons for “on/off” rather than using same button to toggle on/off. Curious what your thinking is. thx!

At the time I couldn’t figure out how to get the same button on the midi maestro to toggle on/off, otherwise I would’ve!
