Just to think this 12th century Chateau was built and was standing 251 to 351 years before Christopher Columbus was born in Oct 31, 1451.

It is magnificent and the craftsmanship blows the mind. Having said that, I could not live there. It's much too dark and "heavy". Thank you for a lovely, lovely tour.

Nothing much seems left of the XIII° century. The windows on the wall are either XV° or XVI° century. Maybe the foundations were XIII°… The interior is mainly XIX°. Or maybe I am wrong. In that case, sorry for the comment.

lovely home. however, it would be most helpful if you would spend a bit more time showing the kitchen, & would actually show bathrooms. the way this video displays things, one wonders if there actually ARE any bathrooms, or just chamber pots. thank you.

Janet don’t be such a nit picker this is a beautiful presentation of a stunningly beautiful chateau and yes I can imagine the bathrooms measure up as well.
I have seen the down stairs kitchen on a decorator showcase tour. It is a massive old commercial style kitchen - the kind you would find in a palace. If you ever get the chance, tour either Filoli estate or San Simeon, you can do a mansion kitchen tour up close, and see bathrooms, too.

These are the types of beautiful properties only the mega rich can afford to run, it's a pity but eventually they will fall into disrepair.

I liked the outside very much but the inside is nor for me. To much wood and to much red.
I like both of those things. I am so sick of the "sleek" modern designs with so much grey and white that we are seeing these days.
