Victron DC Charger Cycles On & Off

Since I installed my Victron Dc to Dc charger it has never worked correctly. I pulled the charger out and noticed the ground wire had a couple small wires touching the positive wire causing a short. I corrected this and it started working immediately.
Also, the 2023 Nissan Frontier does have a smart alternator, often referred to as a Variable Voltage Charging System (VVCS). This system is designed to regulate the alternator’s output based on the vehicle’s power demands, helping to improve fuel efficiency and reduce engine load when full charging is not required. The alternator in the Frontier is controlled by the Engine Control Module (ECM) using a LIN (Local Interconnect Network) communication system, which adjusts the alternator’s output dynamically.
Mark sure you are using the smart alternator setting in the Victron Energy app.

That's because you have the wrong alternator setting. Set to "smart alternator".

Thanks you for the reply. I did have the setting on regular alternator and this was wrong.
