I’ve always loved Philip Glass, and do pray our generation has the good enough sense to utilize metaphorical canonization so we can preserve and study his compositions long after he is gone, just as we had with the greats of the last Age of Enlightenment.
Whenever I heard this song for the first time I thought wow this song is beautiful but now after seeing that Ukrainian boy play this during the siege of kharkiv its both haunting and hopeful at the same time.
