I´ve been searching for a while now for a Yogasana practice specifically for women´s health. discovered BKS Iyengar 5 days ago, listening to "Light on Life", looked up Geeta Iyengar for more insight. Her book is next on my reading "menu". then I found you & your channel and have been repeating this sequence for 3 days. I can´t tell you what a subtle difference it makes. I feel a little bit stronger & more grounded every time I practice. This is a good beginning
Hi dear, happy you discovered my channel. The Iyengar family Have inspired me and my yogic path. Happy to have you join me on this journey. Happy New Year 2025.

Thank you for this amazing sequence teacher Kathy. Pelvic and abdomen feels so light and the cramps are gone! The best restrorative I tried during menses 🙏🏾 Will continue this for next few days…Much love, Thana ❤
This was excellent, thank you. I was able to modify most of the poses using just my block. It helped ease some pretty intense pain. My only confusion was the use of the term “cycle” to refer to the period. My understanding of “cycle” is the full menstrual cycle: menstruation, follicular, ovulation, and luteal phases.
Hi Bexamcca, yes of course you are correct. I often refer to this period as the cycle as taking time for a proper Menstrual practice helps us with the entire cycle and our over all health. Glad you felt better! 🤗🙏🏻
Wonderful Myrna! So nice to hear from you. Enjoy your practice and your quiet time that your cycle brings each month. Using it or a restorative sequence once a week is a nice respite for balancing the body and mind. Namaste, Kathy
Thank you so much for such detailed and in-depth sequences in each video. The beginner sequence classes are so helpful in daily practice. Gratitude! Would you please create a sequence that can be practiced for Hypothyroidism? Thank you so much once again!

Namaste Kathy! I am beginner in iyenger yoga and learning a lot from your videos. Thank you for sharing the knowledge. One thing I wanted to know that do I need to do yoga for pelvic health daily during periods or can be done any time of month thanks ❤️
Dear Noopur, Glad you are learning with the classes. Pelvic health is important all the time cycle or no cycle. As you are just beginning, practice the standing poses to help connect the legs to the pelvis. Seated postures to adjust the pelvis, forwards bending to bring tone to the low back and quietness, etc.twists, back extensions. Basically all the categories are important to learn. The practice as I have rolled out in the Foundational Course is also a great way for you to learn all aspects step by step building on one another, which will all help with your overall health.
Hi P, Yes I will come back to you soon on poses that give relief. Also, please look into your diet, avoiding sugar, and starches. Have a healthy diet first of all.
Can you please share some yoga for hormonal imbalance? I am struggling with it for more than a year now and really need some cure for the same. Thanks 😊
