My Delta 1300 will run my LG 15cuft fridge/freezer for 23 hours and charge from my generator from 0 to 100% in an hour and a half. If I add my router, Wi-Fi and wireless phone it will give me 16 hours of power. Needless to say it is a game changer for me. Don’t need to run the generator but for a couple of hours a day. Also have the EcoFlow 220w bifacial solar panels as added backup. I bought a second Delta 1300 (refurbished) to handle a small box freezer and battery charging. I enjoy your videos. Thanks.

I wish I knew what I needed !!! I really worry about my chest freezers (2) and my electric blanket I do have a Jackery 500 but really I don’t care about drying my hair or power tools, I have hand tools and like to work with those.
Maybe help us women how to figure watts and all that stuff to what we’re needing to use.
Great channel, I’ve listened to all you’ve advised for preps.
    God help us all, 💕🇺🇸

Thanks JR. You were a huge help as always. I used a watt meter to figure out how much power I would need to keep my 26 cu. ft. chest freezer running. I keep my chest freezer in my unheated barn. I have a Ecoflow Delta 2 and a Delta max backup battery. I put a BougeRV 400 watt rigid solar panel on the roof of the barn, facing south and at a 40 degree angle. the freezer draws 120 watts per hour and the total watt hours of the batteries is 3016. It's working great right now, but it's summer and I'll have to see how it works for the winter with less sunlight. I have a small Honda inverter generator in case there is not enough sun and it needs the batteries charged.

Hi, J.R.! Great advice as always. (My generator preps are what you might call "middle of the road." Nothing extravagant but will get the job done.) Stay well, my friend!!

Thanks for this informative video. You shared a lot of stats on the max power and max time these can be run for.
Can you create a video concerning long term use of these units.
In a long term grid down situation running a freezer for 4 hours only serves to turn a delta into a paper weight faster.

Eco flow delta 2 has a great deal with 200 watt solar panel for $900. The expandable battery is $800 so it might be better to get another delta2 with the solar panel.

She said size matters...😂😂😂 Seriously, I have been looking at solar generators, but just haven't been able to pull that trigger yet and yes I know prices are going up. I have a gasoline/propane generator and could use that to "fast" charge a power station....that would extend my gasoline/propane supply and not have to wait for only solar. I'm still thinking and comparing, thanks for the info. 👍

What unit would be good for running my pellet heating stove

If you need primarily D.C. (like a D.C. fridge or battery/small device charging) then just buy a big battery like LiFePO4 100ah for $350 or so. That is 1280 watt hour and you can easily add a small inverter if you need A.C.
The big advantage of a power station is the all-in-one including A.C. and the small ones are small and cheap if you need the easy portability. But all power stations are far from optimal if your use case is primarily D.C.

Got my delta max, so far so good. Some people complained about the noise but to me it’s not as loud as gaming pc😂😂😂. Delta max and delta pro are also compatible with the gas and battery dual whatever from ecoflow. I haven’t got that yet but I might after I save some money.

Yeah, their gas generator is one that I don’t have, but it definitely seems nice.

If it ain't 12V, it's not in my preps. USB rope lights, rechargeable lights and flashlights, 12V Iceco fridge/ freezer combo, 12V water pump, and multiple smaller solar stations, letting me use 2 whole charging 2, if needed. 12V with solar is survival mode.

I have insulin and other medicines that need to stay refrigerated. If the power goes out for a few days, I am in trouble. I have a tiny mini-fridge that gets down to about 42 degrees Fahrenheit. That's not low enough, but it's better than nothing. What size solar generator would I need to power it for a few days? Or what's the best I can do?

    • @larryc1616
      @larryc1616 Рік тому +1

To power just a 40w mini-fridge for days probably the $799 delta2 or delta2 max(2x battery, 2x the price) if you need more.

Get a solid state battery holds 100 times the charge and charges 10 times faster as a chemist i was able to build one for WAY CHEAPER than the industrial ones that are 100.000 dollars to half a million yes they exist but you must have a corporate license to purchase one .
