    Yet another articulate, well-thought response. I really appreciate you for integrating business sense with the reality of being a fan/consumer and using evidence of your own experiences and facts of the business to produce such great responses. I am so glad you are you, and I'm so excited to continue watching you evolve and grow! We are honored to have you!

    I enjoy your content for many reasons and this video encapsulates the VALUE you bring to us that we need more of.
    In regards to Bernard Arnault, IMHO he doesn't need to be stopped, we need to accept our role in making him who his brand is today and EMPOWER ourselves to PIVOT towards the brands who actually give us what we want and aspire to have that his current behemoth brands no longer provide. EMPOWERMENT is a DECISION and an ACTION. Transpose the EM at the start of the word and you find ME POWER MENT. WE have the power to CHOOSE and that is all that is required to make a positive change. LVMH is not the house brand that I will spend my money on for their bags. I'm going to PIVOT to those who give me EXCELLENCE for my dollars and cents. It's the only respectful thing I can do and no one gets to choose for me. That's empowerment in action.

    Dear Anesu, I am greatly appreciative for all your hard work and dedication in teaching us all a better , more valuable way to procure the very best .
    I am quite young (18,F) and find myself on a budget and saving for a splurge, later this year .
    I wonder: what sophisticated item or experience would you recommend at a five hundred dollars mark ?
    In hope that my comment will be noticed;
    Much love from New York !

    Dear Anesu, I am always so appreciative of your analysis. By the way, the video on the island reminded me of , let's say this way, distinct scorn toward that type of lifestyle. I could even see a little girl, maybe 12-13 years old, that seemed somewhat paralyzed in the mist of the silly frenzy around her....maybe I am just projecting as even at a young age I felt this way in similar situations. I enjoy my luxuries in private and know the limitations of what they are contributing toward my life. By the way, can we start a club? The "BBBL Club" ....sounds so chic!

    • @SoAnesu

    When you are talking about the Dior case: I think even then the markup is quite high. I thought it maybe 10x which is already a lot :-o
    And it might be even worse. Afaik the 57$ is what Dior paid. What margin does the manufacturing company include here?

    • @SoAnesu
      @SoAnesu  2 місяці тому

      The mark up is crazy. Even if the manufacturer tripled or double cost price it’s still peanuts. LVMH are the ones having the last and loudest laugh.

    The fact that many UA-camrs interview people, on their street style videos, specifically focusing on people wearing Hermes bag & shoes, Cartier watches, Van Cleef bracelets etc etc etc etc and then boasting about their Zara dress! Why is this a thing? High/Low ? It’s horrible! Your clip of that holiday looks dreadful! You cannot buy good taste and personal style. Keep up the good work!
    My husband and myself wear vintage watches by a very under the radar (very high quality) brand; we love them, we’ve worn them for many years, maintain them and replace straps with beautiful quality ones and nobody notices or comments. We are not trying to impress anyone and that is the difference! Bernard Arnaullt will never be stopped by people like us!

    Are you telling me that all the artisans and "petites mains" working for LVMH don't produce any quality products????? Really???? What is with the Haute Couture???? Not good quality??? These negative remarks are a hard SLAP in the face of all the people working for LVMH, doing their best day in day out, with a commited involvement. A lot of people react negatively regarding B. Arnault. If he were an American citizen, everything would be fine but he's french so ... I remember the struggles of houses like Dior and LV in the 80s. I'm thankful for the fact that a man named B. Arnault decided to save these houses, their history, their legacy and their knowhow. Doing so he also protected a lot of artisanal métiers. Not just métiers inside of LVMH but also a lot of small artisanal houses creating beautiful really expensive and exclusive products for the luxury industry like handmade embroideries and laces etc ... Nobody has to love him. I just feel that it's quite unfair to judge this man and his achievements after more than 40!!! years from afar. The scandal around Dior? I would be very careful because I have read in 2004?? that the Italian leather industry (especially in the Tuscany) has been bought by many Chinese people. They began to produce counterfeits. LV fighted juristicall

    • @FromParisToHamburg91
      @FromParisToHamburg91 2 місяці тому

      ... Juruistically to stop this. I'm quite hesitant when people on YT suggest that we should stop buying luxury bags and buy bags from brands like Ateliers Auguste, Demellier, etc. Most of these bags are also made in Italy. With the best quality Italian leather but for less. Do these brands control the whole production process? Or do they trust these small businesses and hope for the best? Like Dior?

      Lack of transparency is a general issue. Tbh I'm disappointed that even big names and luxury prices aren't an obligation to (how it looks) at least not break laws.

      The artisans working for LVMH could produce good quality if they did not had to produce this insane amount of collections every year. Same goes with other fashion houses like Chanel who produces 10 collections a year, and Chanel does not even have to anser to shareholders! But LVMH has to answer to shareholders and they put profit sky high above quality in craftmanship and protecting the heritage of the brands in their conglomerate. Arnault saved these fashion houses as you say, for what exactly? To slaughter them on the chopping block of maximum profit, disregarding their heritage and sense for a prosperous enduring future? Something needs to happen in the fashion industry. The fashion industry is fallen sick in this ever faster turning wheel of overconsumption. LVMH is not the only one, but is the biggests player in this game, with Arnault being responsible as the head of LVHM. So yes, criticism is in order, and that has nothing to do with with him being French.
