great vid
Ill do these tips soon, its midnight for me now. Earlier today i was checking on my snake as it wasnt getting out of its little hiding place for a few days, i was just holding it and then realised its eyes were very bluey and didnt really know exactly what to do, its the first time its shedding since i bought it
Thanks !
I was given a snake recently. I have no experience with snakes. He had like wood chips in the tank. The tank was a mess. I had my wife hold him while i thoroughly cleaned the tank. I put coconut soil in the tank. Is that ok for it ? It said it promotes humidity. His eyes are very blue though i was given to understand he had just shed before i got him. He was always out and about and very friendly. Now he just stays in his hide. I'm hoping he doesn't have an infection or something. Any words of wisdom would be much appreciated. Thank you.
What can I do
The eyes are blue as a sign of shedding. If they dont shed off properly do some research on a proper way to take them off. A common thing I see is people wetting a cloth, and rubbing it across gently and getting them off that way. You shouldnt peel them off. I dont remeber why but I think itll cause harm or pain in some way. I'm not an expert. I only have 1 ball python that I researched for and this is what I remeber.
Yeah I am aware on what to do 😁
My snakes head is blue what do I do?
She’s a pretty girl
Isn't she just!
As soon as your snakes eyes turn blue you start soaking him or her for 30 minutes twice a day it is warmer waters they can take then throw a whole cup of water in your substrate in your tank and mix it up it’s almost like mud and put a towel inside under the lid and take mineral loyal and wipe it on liberally on the snake The next day so care for him or her twice for 30 minutes again in his hot water as they can tag without jumping out for 30 minutes twice then will you put the mineral Oil on your snag one more time the next day it will be Shedding totally and you might have to pull a little off the lower half or the neck but just get warm water and then it comes right off that’s how I do it it takes a four-day process and it works every time as soon as the eyes turn cloudy blue
My snake has 1 blue eye and 1 normal eye. She misses her strike when she eats about 4-5 times then she will hit the mouse. Is she blind?
Send me a photo via Facebook or Instagram of the 2 eyes 😁
S&S Serpentarium I figured it out thank you tho, turns out due to humidity issues she has a layer of skin over her eye. I’m going to take her to a vet to get it removed
You probably don't need to take it to the vet yet. Leave her in a tub to soak for an hour and then get a cotten bud (q tip) and then gently work the eye cap off by going from the eye at the mouth side back to the other side
S&S Serpentarium thank you!
Let's have a little look at the eye please 😁
My snake been hiding in his hide I spray his tank and his eyes are blue and skin looks the same and he has a bit of dry substrate in his nose
Send me a photo on Instagram mate
Okay mate
It's more the substrate I'm worried about really
What is your Instagram?
Same as the youtube mate
Thanks lol i thought mine was blind 💀
i was panicking about ts
Should I bathe and feed my retic if she's blue?
You can offer her food but there is no need to bathe her
Yeah, she didn't accept the food... Thanks btw
No worries! How long have you had her
@@ssserpentarium5968 around 3-4 weeks.... I think
Is it your first snake
Made me laugh lol
👍😂
She’s about to shed is why (she is not wet enough)
Yeah I know pal lol. I titled it like that incase a new keeper searched something like that!
Lol
@@Guest-yz9fb what do you mean she's not wet enough?
Princess Cathy I believe he meant humidity.....I could be wrong though
Pretty sure that’s a clear indication it’s about the shed
Yeah I am aware!
Did yall not watch the video?
Little to late i just bothered
My snake and fed it when its in shed lol
It's not the end of the world. What snake do you have
Some of my snakes will eat during shed and some wont. It really just depends on the snake. Generally most (esp balls who can be fussy eaters) wont but theres still a good amount that will.
im stupid 😂😂😂 thank you
Lol My sister got a snake and it was like this told them it’s turning inside out
Btw I got one it’s about 2 years old
Did they believe you? 😂
S&S Serpentarium ye she was 8 😂
Bless 😂 that's so mean 🤣
It’s because they’re about to shed
Lol I know
