It seems to me from watching this that courtesy and respect for one another and being responsible for your own behavior is the key to your successful relationship. All that can apply to living anywhere, but especially in a small space like a van.
Hello Snow and Curt, Thanks for the awesome channel. I have been on a business trip overseas for the past few months when I discovered your channel. Low and behold when I returned this week and started sharing with my wife about Van Conversions she mentioned she had a friend from high school who had done one and was on the road! When I asked who it was she said Snow and Curt! Thanks again for the great content.
First time viewer here, from Australia. I must say you both have a lovely friendly manner about you. I enjoyed listening to you both chat. I will go back and watch some of your earlier videos now. The cats are beautiful 😊
Guys. It has been such a treat watching you relax and grow in front of the camera. Your voices have relaxed, you’re much quicker to smile but with your mouth and eyes. I discovered you about 10mdays about and have binge watched every single video you have produced. Tech talk was fantastic, detailed and exactly what perspective van builders need. Van life is informative and funny. Crossing the USA trip is great. Keep it up.
Wow!!! Binge watched?!?! What a huge compliment!! And to say you see the smile in our eyes... that means that our new freedom is shiny thru! Thanks a ton for the super kind words... and for tuning in!!
Hahah omg... I just reread that comment and although I meant every word my gramma was horrible. As I wrote that comment I got movement orders and finished it on the fly as I threw my shit in a bag to run out the door.. Thanks for replying. But really all the thanks goes to you both as you are showing the world that not only can hipsters who surf do the van life thing but the older among us who have a few more miles on the clock can convert from the norm and drive away with a desire to explore and try something new. You guys rock... and yes your cats do too.. (dog guy right here). All parts of a complete package.
I agree with what you people are experienced. Living in a van is a fast way to become a minimalist and reduce consumerism. Before you purchase something you have to know of what things are on the list to get rid to make a room for the new things. On the subject of washing dishes, a spray bottle with a 30% vinegar/water mix is the way to go and then you will need very little water to have all spotless.
What a great idea for the dishes.... I’m going to get a spray bottle tomorrow and try it out! Of course, I have to get rid of something to make room for the new spray bottle! LOL
@@SnowAndCurt I use mix Dawn, water and vinegar. It works for everything..spray dishes, spray floor/counters/windows as well as keeps flies/wasp away! Safe travels
Your editing is improving so much! Micah (my husband) and I agreed that this was a very enjoyable video to watch! (We love them all and can’t wait for each episode to release!) To know where you came from and where you’re at now, is so cool! You are an inspiration to us. Love you guys!! Thank you for sharing your lives with us and inspiring us! ☺️💜🦋🥰
Hello Snow & Curt, I really like your channel; you're REAL! wonder if you could please do a separate video all about the cat safe screen door, specs, matrials, how it stays closed for sure, and how hard it was to build and install? Thank you and happy travels to you! 😃
Thanks so much... when we decided to open our van life to UA-cam, we discussed the importance of staying genuine and true to us... so your comment is a huge compliment!! THANK YOU! We are getting a ton of questions on the screen door, so I believe curt will put together a video on it soon!
Looking forward to screen door video!! Enjoyed this video! You are traveling fast!! Do you feel like you’re taking enough time at each spot? Do you give yourself any downtime? Hope to be in the road myself soon! I’ve been researching for a couple years!
@@SnowAndCurt Really looking forward to the screen door video. I don't think we'll do our own conversion, but hoping we can do the mod once we buy our van. We currently have 3 dogs, so door safety is huge! We do work on door behaviors at home, but a physical barrier is good as well.
The entire PNW is just wonderful. I have had several medical assignments in the PNW and I just love it. Bandon was one of those assignments. Lived right on the beach. Happy Travels.
I been trying to get rid of STUFF since I started my bus conversion idea, it is unreal how much accumulates in a life time, had an estate sale and multiple garage sales and I still have STUFF! hahaha A/C is a must in the south, Texas in the summer you could bake cookies in a vehicle! I am not even living in my bus yet but I am already using the smaller fridge and trying to create good habits. Don't kill yourself trying to please everyone it is impossible and only serves to make something fun stressful. Loved the Goonies reference Thanks for sharing Mike from Texas,Take Memories,Leave Footprints
And thank for the kind words... they are appreciated! FYI... the travel video that has goonies beach in it should be out in about 10 days or so. We tend to stay about two weeks behind on our travel vids!!
Another van couple Trent and Allie, took their dog with them to south of the border. Lesson learned when traveling with animals have all your paperwork for them to avoid quarantine delays, or to shorten the quarantine time.
I was thinking the same thing F. E. Gaskin! Also wondering how you'll travel into South America with the kitties, perhaps under the plane seats in carriers? I think it's great they can take Frank right on the plane and have him at their feet. They're all good of course, but he's an especially good boy. ♥️
Frank is awesome!!! Kitties can travel in the cabin, they have to be in a soft sided carries that fits under the seat. You have to book in advance, cause most airlines restrict how many pets allowed per flight!
Excellent Q & A, you sound so down to earth and real. Life is not perfect for you, but it never is and knowing what to expect about one lifestyle over another really helps in making lifestyle decisions. But when I build mine, I will HAVE to steal your bathroom/dining room idea.
Snow and Curt, thank you for the honesty about your fueling issue. I recently got a 2003 Sprinter Class B van and I'm so paranoid about putting gas in my tank. Thank goodness you realized it before you started it! Its such a good reminder to those of us with diesel engines. I watch a lot of Van Life UA-camrs, many 20-something's. While I enjoy their videos much of the time, I have to say your channel is my favorite. I think it's great you're trying to do better and learn with your videos, but I think you are doing wonderful so far! What I appreciate so much about your channel is that you are so relatable to me, because I'm around your age. While perhaps you might someday, I'm pretty sure I'm never going to be doing yoga on the roof of my van, you know? 😂😂😂 Looking forward to watching your farewell tour and travels!
Oh, I was wondering if you will be doing a video on how you handle cell phone and internet services? I'm trying to figure out if I need a booster and jetpack to connect more devices before I take off for the winter, so your experience would be valuable. I'm also curious to know if you've done anything to increase security with carrying valuables in your van. I'm trying to decide if I want to risk taking my expensive camera equipment and how to keep it safe if I do. Thanks!
We joke about the diesel incident now... saying how glad we are that we got it over with on day one!!! We can assure everyone that it is something that will only happen once! 😄 When we decided to do the UA-cam channel, it was a bit intimidating because most of the other channels are the 20-somethings (which we love and also watch their channels every week)... but, we decided that we needed to share so that other 40/50-somethings could see it as an amazing retirement plan... and maybe even get to retire early like we did!! But, you are 100% correct.... I will never be on a roof deck doing yoga!! Maybe a couple of leg stretches beside the van... where no one can see me... especially not a camera!! 😂😂😂 Honestly, we are still figuring out the cell/internet/WiFi thing ourselves.... doing a ton of research and will decide before we cross into Mexico. We will spread the word via a video once we figure it out!! As always.... thanks for the kind words and thanks for watching!!
@@SnowAndCurt I had driven 18 hours and pulled into a BP station, grabbed the green handle and fulled up with GAS! The good news is that gas is lighter than diesel and goes to the top. I drove to walmart 1 mile away and bought 6- 5 gal cans and a hose. When I started to get diesel out of the tank, I stopped and drove back to fill up with diesel. FYI a little gas won't hurt the motor. Waiting to see the door fix!
jhlittleelect we did the same thing... google told us gas was lighter. Luckily we were just topping off the tank... so, we knew we had ten gallons to get out. We u reed to a store, bought gas cans, and took out the ten gallons!! Lucky we realized!! Glad you caught yourself too!
Thanks for sharing! I love and appreciate my life as it is and as change is part of life, living nomadically or semi-nomadically feels like the a very natural and authentic next step for me. It’s nice to hear from others who are doing it to help me prepare and hone in on what exactly I want and need to make the leap!
Absolutly beautiful cats ,you can tell you love them brilliant ,i would love to see some antics the fur babies get up to,love you two ,happy journeys, you are both a lovely couple
You're an inspiration to me and my husband. We still have 4 of our 7 kids at home so we can't move into a van until they all leave the nest, but are eager to follow in your footsteps!
Wow!!! 7 kids with four still at home.... I cannot wait for you to get them grown and start your van life journey.... you are going to enjoy the peace and relaxation that much more!! Good luck whenever the time comes... and thanks for tuning in!
I'm way over 30 (like most vanlifer channels) and it's so nice to see someone closer to my age doing this. I've planned my van to the inch and will have it soon, I hope. Gotta talk my husband into it, but he's almost there!
That is awesome! I told Curt that if we did this UA-cam thing... that it would have two 'purposes" 1) Always be real! Even when it is ugly! 2) Show other people in our age range that this is an option... a way to travel... a way to get out of the rat race before the normal retiring age of the mid 70's So.... you keep working on your hubby, because it is amazing out here!
@@SnowAndCurt Thanks for replying. I didn't expect that. Are you still in Mexico? Do you speak Spanish? I speak pretty well and enjoy the people. Good luck!
We are hunkered down in Mexico for the virus.... So have not been traveling since March. We've been taking Spanish lessons while we are here, getting a bit better, but still very broken Spanish! But, we feel good about the foundation we've built! The people are so warm and welcoming here!!
I am so with you on the wooden, solid screen door. I have planned an entire screen wall with a door for both my sliding and back doors. For me, a big reason is just for a bit more security. I think it symbolically lets people know they can't just walk in. There is a door and they need to knock. Plus it just looks so pretty. I also plan to build in a small sliding door in the screen to allow me to reach the van sliding door to close it from inside without having to open the screen. This will improve security as well. I'll rig up some kind of pulley system to do this with the back doors as well.
We had a sliding door to access the door for opening and closing... with our set up, it gave us a fit. So, curt made it where one of the panels pops out easily so we can reach the door... also gives us better access to deal with a window covering instead. Just a thought as your planning your door!!! Keep us posted when you get yours done, we would love to see it!
I just started watching today’s video and saw this one from 4 years ago. Wow wow wow how y’all have changed. Yall look great in today’s video. Thx for sharing.
Just found you guys and this is my first view. I’m very excited about your channel. We built out our ‘04 Dodge Sprinter and are shopping for our next build Ram Promaster. We will be hitting the road next fall. It’s nice to see someone our age doing the same thing.
South Dakota blew us away too!! It was unexpectedly fabulous! We had bison trotting by when we were on our motorcycle - fabulous wildlife, amazing wild camping, gorgeous scenery. We had no idea until we arrived how special it was.
I just discovered your channel yesterday & I just want to let you guys know you're both absolute rock stars! 🌟 So appreciate what you're doing, stay awesome guys & many blessings to you & your adventures!!!
Love your videos. The screen door is great. You may want to research the painted screens of Baltimore. It will give you a bit more privacy while not obscuring your view outside.
I just watched your 4 mo. Review, where you stated that your fur babies will be the most traveled cats in the world. I think you have made it! Congratulations! I started watching you when you were Central America and today went and watched your 4 mo review answering questions. By-the-way, I'm a native oregonian. We lived 45 minutes from the seaside beach. That was my son's happy place. We moved to the southwest and my son would go up there every year for his vacation. I agree with you Oregon coast is such a beautiful place and of course I do like the Oregon people.
This is the 2nd video of yours I have viewed. I don't generally subscribe to RV channels but I absolutely appreciate the realness of your videos. Your kitties are amazing, they have the best life! New subscriber here, all the best guys!
Hey Folks! Watching you for first time and what do I hear? You Loved Bandon, Oregon. Me too! Lol..Ive lived in Bandon almost 30 years now. So glad you enjoued your stay! Im planning to part time RV in the future with Bandon as a base. Enjoy your travels!
We shot a video in Bandon, I think it was titled “what’s it like to live in a van...a day in the life.” Check it out😊 ua-cam.com/video/4By7UH1hdSo/v-deo.html
For someone just starting out with your videos. Y’all are doing an amazing job. It’s your candor, real ness, you talk to us like we are your best friends.. keep doing what your doing, you have built an amazing home on wheels. So my question is how do you clean the inside bowl of your composting.? That’s it.
It is not too hard at all.... we have been thinking about doing a video on that. We will go ahead and add it to the list! Thanks so much for the kind words.... and welcome to the channel!
Good honest video. You have discovered the secret of good presenting, always happy, smiling and a positive attitude. It is very true that “if you smile the world smiles with you, cry and you cry alone”. You are always positive and taking us on your new adventures, living the dream and we love watching you. Keep smiling and trying new things. It may be that in 5 years time you feel ten years younger. So glad for you that there are no regrets 😎
Just to let you know I’ve been watching your videos from 3 years ago and four months into your travels and up until today, your videos are still very enjoyable and encouraging, keep up the great videos from Chile and Argentina, safe travels and God Bless you both❤❤
New subscriber here. Wow, your video was great ... to the point with each question and answer. I went to closing on my house today and picked up the keys to my apartment with a 6 month lease. Now to buy the van .... I can't wait to hit the road. Keep those videos about the places you've loved coming ... I will be following in your footsteps. Love the cats too....
Love you guys! Thanks for sharing your journey. Me and my girlfriend are planning on leaving in 8 months, so this has been helpful. Stay safe out there😊🙏🚐🌲🌲🌲
Fantastic video. So helpful and honest. I love that you guys are so relatable. You are doing a great job. I actually got teary eyed a couple of times while watching because what you were sharing was so genuine. well done!
This is the best compliment we can get... we never want to be fake... if you watch our videos, you are going to get the real snow and curt... that’s the deal we made with each other when we decided to open up our lives to UA-cam! So thank you a ton Lynda!
Hello Snow & Curt. I'm a new sub. Found your channel tonight. I'm disabled (spinal) . I can't wait to see more videos. You're living my dream. I will enjoy your travels. I will live vicariously through you. I'm going to be praying for your travel, safety, health, and great fun. You two are so cute. I love the way you communicate with each other. May God bless you both!! 🌹❤🌹🙏
I just found your U tube video. ..and I think I'll like it already! Your really good! I just have to find your Van tour video...can't wait to see your Van! Thank you for U tubing!
Awwww... thanks for tuning in! To make it easy, I put the link to our van tour! 🚐🌎🎥. Van Tour (Recycling Shower, Tilting Solar, Undermount AC) ua-cam.com/video/h870Kei51ME/v-deo.html
Curt, you look much better with a little hair on your head. And Snow's shirt?? 🙄 I'm liking your videos more and more each week. I homesteaded my land. I know what you mean about freedom. I wake up every morning and can decide what I'm going to do, when I'm going to do it, etc etc. I also get to decide where and how I'm going to use my precious water!
The freedom is amazing... as you know! Homesteading is so great. Curt will go thru phases with his hair, so get use to that! And sometimes.... I’m just going to throw on a comfy old t-shirt! Part of the freedom I guess. Thanks for tuning in!! 🚐🌎🛠🎥
Me? I've been taking notes! Screen shots too. One of your screen door and one of Curt sitting in the driver's seat with his feet up doing something. I.e. that last screen take was for perspective on lounging at the front in a Sprinter. Good stuff!
I get the same question all the time - What's your favorite spot? My answer is the same as yours The Oregon Coast. In fact, I nearly stopped my journey there but I was only 7 months in so I thought I had to keep going. Can't wait to get back there though! Great video 👍
The cats adjusted quicker than we did... obstacles are: You have to use no scent litter or the whole van smells like a giant perfume bottle... build them a couple hiding places.... scoop the litter at least twice a day... and you need a screen door. Our kitties also enjoy walking on a leash. It’s one million percent worth it to have them in the van!
Both of those are more expensive endeavors. BOAT sometimes stands for Bust Out Another Thousand. You'll see more fish than I will in my van, though. That part would be nice.
You guys are cool and honest In want to sell my Condo and do valife. You are helping a lot. At the beginning your filming was making me dizzy, you moved too fast but you learned and I did too ! I want to go down to mexico from Delray Beach FL to Venezuela and up to California Victoria Canada to Montreal Canada So I need lots of info. Again thank you!
Ha! Yes... We had never made any kind of video at the start... So, thanks for sticking with us!! We've got a long way to go still, but hopefully we've stopped causing motion sickness! 😂 Mexico has been amazing do far, we had to skip so much because of the virus, but we are hoping the Mexico will give visa extensions and we can still see all of this amazing country!!
You need to travel to Alaska it is like going to another world . You need at least three months. My husband and I drove it three times and saw everything different each time
We spent two weeks in Alaska 3 years ago... I know it is not long, but when we mapped out our journey around the world in the van, we skipped Canada and Alaska because we had already been there! Not sure if you have seen our ambitious plan for "around the world" - here is a link: This video will give you all of the details of our plan! ua-cam.com/video/5krUgf1Yti8/v-deo.html
You need to check out the Indie Projects if you havent already. They travel with Ginjey the cat. He had a gps collar and is a free roaming ginger tabby. So fun to see when cats travel along. My girls can barely handle a drive to the vet so cant see them being very good van lifters
We love the indie projects!! They were the first UA-cam channel we found when we started building our van!! Their kitty is amazing! I’d freak out letting mine roam though 😻 Thanks for tuning in and the heads up about indie!
@@SnowAndCurt I would as well. I was asking them about the gps cause most only give a 50 yard range which is pretty big for a cat in the wilderness. But they keep a pretty close eye on him. Your cats are beautiful. Been watching your earlier videos. I love your layout. I could not do without a toilet and shower so it's awesome. I'm hoping to convince my hubby to try van life when he retires. I'd love to travel south and avoid the Canadian winters ☺️
I’ll tell ya’...we were visiting Wisconsin in August and it was 90 degrees throughout the night so don’t let people you it’s so much worse in Florida...it’s just for more months. Our ac was not working either. Same heat in the UP in July this year.
I LIVE IN WILLISTON! I'm originally from Orlando though. For awhile now I've keep telling myself that I've seen Snow before, and I thought it might have been somewhere in Orlando, but considering how small Williston is, I'm think it was more likely in Williston.
Rode makes good mics for pointing a shotgun mic for clip on 1 person then a laple mic. Then for cameras you want a tripod and for movement slider or a gimble for a cellphone is a cheaper option. you also want the mic to have a wind screen makes it look like a cat toy. For editing magic movie edit cheaper then Adobe. For editing video try turning the camera fast up or down then move the camera fast to point at something new it's a transition between shots so you could show something then swap it out then cut it so the blur matches up
Thanks for the awesome advice... we’ve known we need gimbles, just struggled on picking them out... you will be happy to know that two are in order, one for camera and one for phone! We’ve got the mics... just fail to use them right all of the time. No lapel mic though... will look into that! Testing out your “blur” transition suggestion now! Also... our vids stay a few weeks behind, so gimble footage won’t happen until probably the Grand Canyon footage!! Again... thanks a ton! 🚐🌎🎥
It helps me not to use the word gas. Its either diesel, or fuel. Driving Lily for only a week, I'm approaching Death Valley Junction - the very definition of the middle of nowhere. The gauge is showing half, and it is Death Valley, so I pull into THE gas station, slash grocery store, slash cafe. I pick up the black handle, stick the nozzle in the tank and pull the trigger. I don't know what happened but nothing came out, maybe a drop or two, before I realized what I was doing. After putting DIESEL in the tank, I needed to use the bathroom, if you get my drift. I can safely tell you this story because I've already confessed to my wife - but I waited until I got home to do it. Oregon and SD: Agreed.
I'm loving your videos. You've implemented some really cool and unique features in your van. Along the lines of "chores" that you talked about in this one, I'd like to know what your routine maintenance regimen looks like for cleaning the undermount AC condenser and back-flushing the filters in the shower loop. Have you had to replace any filters? I think you've briefly mentioned these in the comments of other videos. And is there any other maintenance of your systems that would be useful to share with all of us wannabes?
Thanks for tuning in Chris! We literally just shot some footage of the shower maintenance procedure... video should be coming soon. We are thinking we will get 6 months out of the filters if we maintain them properly.
Just found U guys and wonder how many videos have U made? I want to watch from the beginning! And since this is the first one I've seen how often do U post? And final question do U have kids and grandkids and if yes how do U leave them? I want to do this so bad my husband not sure but he says can't miss the grandchild and I think would be very tough. Enjoy your video, subscribed and shared!
We have 25 or so videos out. We don’t have an exact schedule out right now, but a minimum of one video a week for sure. No kids or Grand kids... made it a little easier. We will address this more in our next Q&A video that will be coming out within the week.
I picked you guys up when you got to Europe and have slowly been moving back in time. I jumped back 2 years from your knee surgery series. Couple of reactions. WOW! Have you guys ever lost weight. Awesome work! Also, Snow, how much more time do you have now that you aren’t straightening your hair? I love your short curly look.
You guys are doing great! Thanks for sharing your lives with us, the good, the bad & some of the ugly... we don't want to know all of your business :-)
HaHa, the gas thing... reminds me of the time when my oldest brother put diesel in his nice BMW 635 CSi. He was a little stoned, I think. I can understand first time out in a diesel, putting regular gas in the tank (if you're usually a gas user). But diesel in a gas engine, when you've been driving that vehicle for a while? Yeah, Oregon is my real home (not TX, where I was born and spent most of my life). The coast is phenomenal... also the forests, the mountains, and the rivers. The deserts aren't bad either! Nice video y'all put together! Stay safe out there, and have fun!
Ha.... diesel in a bmw!! Tough break for your brother, I bet he never heard the end oof it!! Oregon is fantastic... everywhere!! Thanks for tuning in Don!
We hunkered down in a small beach town in southern mexico... been here since mid march... rented a small apartment to stay safe. It is going well and we picked a great place! Catch some of our more recent videos... we talk quite a bit about it!
While filming and editing may be new to you, you guys do an amazing job. Everyday I look hoping you have a new post. SO now ewe know what Snow did in her previous life, how about you Curt?
We both built roads... we actually met through our jobs about 18 years ago! I was a senior project manager... curt did quality control and estimating. In the end he managed special projects for a very large construction company.... and I did dispute resolution consulting on large projects. Seems like a lifetime ago!! We loved what we did, but it’s a tough career... the freedom we have now is taking some getting use to! Thanks for the kind words... and for tuning in!
Hello Curt & Snow, I found your channel recently and loving it! My husband and I are in the process of selling everything and living full time on wheels! I am learning as much as I can about video editing, van builds etc... can you please share with me what type of laptop you use for editing your videos? Thank you! 👍🙏😘🇬🇧
I have learned so much from you guys, thank you. How did you train your kitties to walk on a leash? I’m afraid mine would just flop over and refuse to move!
I've just started living in my van and of course it's autumn now so the temp has dropped. I hate being cold but I'm actually thinking that summer will be harder as the van becomes like an oven-and I'm in the UK! I can only imagine how unbearably hot it was in your van 😳. It's great if you can leave the doors open but of course that won't always be safe or practical. Yep, think winter might be easier...!

Your easy chatting together is great. You don’t “step” on each other and that’s an incredible feat. Love your videos and your editing.
Thank you so much! But, I promise.... every once in a while we for sure step on each other! LOL!!!
NO REGERTS!!!! You guys are too funny!

I love the screen door and screen wall by your stove
It was an absolute game changer for the van... especially for the kitties!
The entire PNW is just wonderful. I have had several medical assignments in the PNW and I just love it. Bandon was one of those assignments. Lived right on the beach. Happy Travels.
What a great place for an assignment... we loved Bandon.... stayed there for four days just relaxing!! 🚐🌎💙
I been trying to get rid of STUFF since I started my bus conversion idea, it is unreal how much accumulates in a life time, had an estate sale and multiple garage sales and I still have STUFF! hahaha
A/C is a must in the south, Texas in the summer you could bake cookies in a vehicle!
I am not even living in my bus yet but I am already using the smaller fridge and trying to create good habits.
Don't kill yourself trying to please everyone it is impossible and only serves to make something fun stressful.
Loved the Goonies reference
Thanks for sharing
Mike from Texas,Take Memories,Leave Footprints
It’s a lot harder than it sounds to get rid of it all! The stuff we hung into in our old life was ridiculous!! LOL!! Good luck!!
We 💙 Trent and Allie... we watch every episode. Took note of the paperwork issue they had with frank! Thanks for the heads up!!
Steal away... we were so excited when we figured out the design! It makes such great use of the space. And... thanks for the kind words!
When we decided to do the UA-cam channel, it was a bit intimidating because most of the other channels are the 20-somethings (which we love and also watch their channels every week)... but, we decided that we needed to share so that other 40/50-somethings could see it as an amazing retirement plan... and maybe even get to retire early like we did!! But, you are 100% correct.... I will never be on a roof deck doing yoga!! Maybe a couple of leg stretches beside the van... where no one can see me... especially not a camera!! 😂😂😂
Honestly, we are still figuring out the cell/internet/WiFi thing ourselves.... doing a ton of research and will decide before we cross into Mexico.
Glad we are being helpful! Thanks for tuning in!
Absolutly beautiful cats ,you can tell you love them brilliant ,i would love to see some antics the fur babies get up to,love you two ,happy journeys, you are both a lovely couple
Thanks Julie... we do love these kitties!! We will work them into more videos!! They are stealing lots of viewers hearts! 😻🚐
I am certainly enjoying your adventures in your camp life. It’s so interesting!!!❣️
Glad you enjoy it!
I told Curt that if we did this UA-cam thing... that it would have two 'purposes"
1) Always be real! Even when it is ugly!
2) Show other people in our age range that this is an option... a way to travel... a way to get out of the rat race before the normal retiring age of the mid 70's
So.... you keep working on your hubby, because it is amazing out here!
Van life has been good for us!
Van life means learning curve embraced.
Yes it does!! ☺️☺️🚐🚐
I love that you have your kitties with you, I have a Snowshoe Siamese named Binx that loves to ride. He’s my travel buddy when I go to NC
😻😻😻
Great to see a couple normal folks doing videos on van life ... lol safe travels
Lol! We joked about wondering if people would tune in to watch normal middle aged folks! ☺️🚐
I am currently obsessed with van life....going through a mid-life crisis....lol....now I’m hooked on you guys!
Thanks for coming along on this journey with us!
Thanks for sharing all that you do! Living vicariously through you right now!! So much fun!!!
Just found you guys and this is my first view. I’m very excited about your channel. We built out our ‘04 Dodge Sprinter and are shopping for our next build Ram Promaster. We will be hitting the road next fall. It’s nice to see someone our age doing the same thing.
We love when we hear of other people from our generation are coming out here to join us... come on... and help us inspire more to join us!!!
South Dakota blew us away too!! It was unexpectedly fabulous! We had bison trotting by when we were on our motorcycle - fabulous wildlife, amazing wild camping, gorgeous scenery. We had no idea until we arrived how special it was.
I knwo, right?!?!?!?
I just discovered your channel yesterday & I just want to let you guys know you're both absolute rock stars! 🌟 So appreciate what you're doing, stay awesome guys & many blessings to you & your adventures!!!
Thanks for coming along on this journey with us!
So nice to see van life people that aren’t 22 years old! Love your lay out. Hubby and I are hoping to do this in a couple years!
Do it! There's some sacrifice, bit it is so amazing out here!!
Awesome to hear a diffrent perspective, thanks for sharing and being transparent
Thanks for tuning in!!
Love your videos. The screen door is great. You may want to research the painted screens of Baltimore. It will give you a bit more privacy while not obscuring your view outside.
That sounds great... we will check it out! Thanks for tuning in.
I am not one to comment much on any video I have watched but just wanted to say thank you and I enjoy your videos.
Thanks a ton Debra... we are glad to have you tuning in!
I loved this video. You two are so informative, so honest, and so pleasant. Keep the videos coming!
Thanks for the sweet words Pat... and for tuning in!
Ty for this. I plan to get a van while working full time in FL. So AC will be a must
You are very welcome!! Good luck with your van!
I just watched your 4 mo. Review, where
you stated that your fur babies will be the most traveled cats in the world.
WE LOVE LOVE LOVE the Oregon Coast!
You guys are great! Love your vibe, content and spectacular van.
Thanks so much Ani ☺️☺️☺️☺️
This is the 2nd video of yours I have viewed. I don't generally subscribe to RV channels but I absolutely appreciate the realness of your videos. Your kitties are amazing, they have the best life!
New subscriber here, all the best guys!
Awwww... thanks for joining our crazy little UA-cam family Shavauna!! We love our lil kitties for sure! 🚐🐯💙
Hey Folks! Watching you for first time and what do I hear? You Loved Bandon, Oregon. Me too! Lol..Ive lived in Bandon almost 30 years now. So glad you enjoued your stay! Im planning to part time RV in the future with Bandon as a base. Enjoy your travels!
We shot a video in Bandon, I think it was titled “what’s it like to live in a van...a day in the life.” Check it out😊

Love your channel and your fur babies. So adorable. And want that screen door. Never seen it before either!
The screen door is homemade... I wish I could tell ya where to buy one! And thank you for the kitty compliment... we kinda love them too! 😻
I love ❤️ this video. Answered a lot of questions.
Glad you liked it Deloris ☺️
Enjoy your vids, good personalities, remind me of my freinds
Thanks Mark! Glad you enjoyed it!
Love your videos and I’ve been binge watching. I think your videos are awesome. 🙏🏻❤️. I also love your cats. 😍❤️
Glad you like them! Welcome to the journey!
We feel younger already!!! And the laughs and smiles come easier with our new found freedom for sure! Thanks for the kind words!!
Just to let you know I’ve been watching your videos from 3 years ago and four months into your travels and up until today, your videos are still very enjoyable and encouraging, keep up the great videos from Chile and Argentina, safe travels and God Bless you both❤❤
Thank you for always tuning in! We love sharing this journey with our UA-cam family 😊
How exciting!!! Thanks for the kind words... and good luck on your build!!
Love you guys! Thanks for sharing your journey. Me and my girlfriend are planning on leaving in 8 months, so this has been helpful. Stay safe out there😊🙏🚐🌲🌲🌲
Good luck on your journey... It is going to be amazing!
my sister use to live behind the hardee in williston and mom lived 4 miles out of town toward bronson
Wow! Small world! I grew up in Chiefland... and had grandparents and aunts/uncles in Williston... cousins in Bronson!
Snow it is hard to wash dishes, try a spray bottle with peroxide and water mix and paper towel it honestly works..
Thanks for the tip! Thais vid is older... we have a spray bottle now! :-)

This is an incredibly sweet comment... and much appreciated! Thanks for tuning in!! 🚐🌎☺️
You both are great! Loved your video. Can't wait to watch more!
Thanks Susan!!!
I just found your U tube video. ..and I think I'll like it already! Your really good! I just have to find your Van tour video...can't wait to see your Van! Thank you for U tubing!

U guys are amazing. Love seeing you two and your adventure. Your video and edit skills are great. This video was fun, can't wait for more.
That’s super nice of you to say... thanks for tuning in Liz!
There are pros and cons to everything in life.
Just found your channel. You are both so genuine and real! Off to check out your van tour video!
Thanks Tracey!!!
Great Infos, greatings from Switzerland!
Thanks!! 🚐☺️🌍
I wouldn't want to live in a van or RV, I enjoy my home, but I sure enjoy traveling with u 2. Thanks
Curt, you look much better with a little hair on your head. And Snow's shirt?? 🙄
I'm liking your videos more and more each week.
@@SnowAndCurt LOL Diplomatic response! 👍
Ha! I can be very diplomatic!! 😂
First time viewer, new subscriber and bell rung! You all are a cute couple. I look forward to seeing more videos.
Thanks so much for tuning in!! And for hitting the bell!! ☺️☺️☺️
Thanks for your vids guys and all your really great tech info!!! I wish you all the best! Thanks!
Glad the info is helpful! Thanks for tuning in!
Me? I've been taking notes! Screen shots too. One of your screen door and one of Curt sitting in the driver's seat with his feet up doing something. I.e. that last screen take was for perspective on lounging at the front in a Sprinter. Good stuff!
Having both front seats swivel adds so much to the van... and it’s a perfect lounge spot!! ☺️🚐🛠
Great Info!!!! 🚛🚛🚛🚛🚛
I know how hard it can be to learn the filming and editing stuff and I think y’all are doing awesome!
☺️☺️☺️ thanks shanice! That makes all of the hard work worth it! 🚐🌎🎥
Some of the videos I’ve watched suggest putting vinegar and water in a spray bottle to wash dishes. That it saves on water.
Someone put that in another comment... we are for sure going to give it a try!! Thanks!
Thanks for sharing your insights
☺️☺️ thanks for watching! 🚐
I get the same question all the time - What's your favorite spot? My answer is the same as yours The Oregon Coast. In fact, I nearly stopped my journey there but I was only 7 months in so I thought I had to keep going. Can't wait to get back there though!
Great video 👍
It’s mesmerizing!!!
Another good down to earth video. After my kids are grown I am thinking either caravan or boat :-)
one question I have as a fellow cat owner...how have the cats adjusted? Any other challenges with having cats n board with you?
The cats adjusted quicker than we did... obstacles are:
You have to use no scent litter or the whole van smells like a giant perfume bottle... build them a couple hiding places.... scoop the litter at least twice a day... and you need a screen door. Our kitties also enjoy walking on a leash.
It’s one million percent worth it to have them in the van!
Both of those are more expensive endeavors. BOAT sometimes stands for Bust Out Another Thousand. You'll see more fish than I will in my van, though. That part would be nice.
I really appreciated this video. Thanks.
You are very welcome... thanks for watching!
Could we get a detailed video on the screen door construction?
Lots of folks are asking about the screen door... curt is going to put together a video soon!
Not sure if you have seen our ambitious plan for "around the world" - here is a link:
This video will give you all of the details of our plan! ua-cam.com/video/5krUgf1Yti8/v-deo.html
I’ve heard it can get hot up there!!
Thank you!!!
You are very welcome... thank you for tuning in!!
I LIVE IN WILLISTON! I'm originally from Orlando though. For awhile now I've keep telling myself that I've seen Snow before, and I thought it might have been somewhere in Orlando, but considering how small Williston is, I'm think it was more likely in Williston.
I used to work at the Bass Pro Shop in Gainesville from 2017 to 2019. So its possible I saw Snow there.
I grew up in chiefland... My brother lives in Williston! I'm sure we've crossed paths! Small world!!
Phew... Close one for you! It's a heart dropping moment!
Humble Road had a screen door on one of his vans.
We’ve seen his video on it!! His craftsmanship is top notch... we enjoy watching him!
@@SnowAndCurt Maybe you 'shot' some footage? LOL
Ak Au oops!!!! Lol! Corrected that terrible (but a little funny) typo! 😂
@@SnowAndCurt Meh. We all understand typos and inconsequential mistakes. Even on names... ;-)
The new hair is SO EASY! But, the transition year to grow out the gray hair was awful 🤣🤣🤣 and YES!!! Vanlife has been good for our waistlines
You guys are doing great!
Thanks for sharing your lives with us, the good, the bad & some of the ugly...
we don't want to know all of your business :-)
Oh... don’t worry.... you want see all of the ugly! LOL! 😂
AMAZING VIDEO!!! I' a new fan
Thanks for the kind words Patrice... happy to have you tuning in!! 🚐🌎🎥
Just found y’all and really enjoyed your video!
Thanks for tuning in! 🚐🌎🎥
I think from the bit of video I've seen, you're great at editing. I'd be happy if I was that good 😊
☺️☺️☺️ thanks for the kind words!!
Something I look forward to do as well !!!! Another question how are you guys dealing with the Corona Virus?????
Thank you! 👍🙏😘🇬🇧
Gave you the laptop info on one of your other recent comments! :-)
I have learned so much from you guys, thank you. How did you train your kitties to walk on a leash? I’m afraid mine would just flop over and refuse to move!
We will be doing a cat video in January... but Vanna started out in a pet carrier backpack... or I think she would’ve been a flopper! 🚐🐯
It was horrible!! Lol
What kind of air conditioning 12v have you got? that´s interesting
