I knew we wasn’t gonna get any story DLC for Spider-Man 2 remember for Spider-Man one they let us know ahead of time about the story DLC like I will call it a season pass for Spider-Man. One on Spider-Man two came out with the collection edition. They said nothing about any DLC like they did for the first one I don’t think wolverine is gonna come outuntil 2025 maybe 2026. I mean they canceled the online Spider-Man multiplayer game and that looked like that that would have been very fun even if they made it off-line.

I still think that the dlc will happen because in the trailer of the fresh charity suits, we can see in a tv in the background a scene of Peter in a phone texting someone, and this scene does't exist in the game yet. And when this show up in the video we can notice that they we're trying to make us see the tv.
I think we simply shall wait, look at the DLC we got with GOW Ragnorok, it was absolutely HUGE for fans and brought so much story and love to the character, just 13 months after the games original release, so imagine what Insomniac could be cooking with a later release rather then closer to the game like they did with SM1.
And it came months later
Same with Horizon that dlc came a year later people need to be patient
Difference is that God of War Ragnarok is actually a top tier game sequel that doesn’t feel empty after completing the main story. That game didn’t need DLC, Spider-Man 2 DESPERATELY needs DLC asap

Insomniac released the game with a rushed story and less content compared to their previous games 2 months before the cyber attack. Yet, they still charged us $70 at launch. If we keep giving these major corporations passes, it won't take long before Ubisoft's business practices become the norm. We've been letting Insomniac "cook" for nearly 10 months now and all they've given us were minor bug fixes, cosmetics, and basic features that even Eric admits should've been released at launch.

@DarkLord-hl1fi Were you honestly satisfied with how they handled Harry, Venom, the Symbiote, Wraith, and the character arcs? Most important events happened within 1 or 2 cutscenes with little buildup (Harry's transformation, revelation of Peter's feelings regarding Aunt May, Miles forgiving Mr Negative). They wasted the Symbiote by turning Peter into a childish, edgy emo for a few days before taking it off and having 0 personal consequences afterward. And they wasted the iconic villains by having almost all of them either killed off (mostly off-screen) or reformed. Despite that Insomniac chose to leave in various walking missions and boring side quests (Hailey, MJ, Miles' missing instruments, EM foundation, and BV).
Based off this, I think that after the leak, Insomniac want to get Wolverine done and dusted before looking at any DLC. Tbh they might not even be fully aware of whether Spider-man 2 DLC might ever be made.
If no story DLC that’s fine. But they gotta update the game & get rid of the bugs, especially crimes disappearing.
I didn’t watch the vid yet, but I wanna say:
Horizon Forbidden West DLC was 14 months apart.
God of War Ragnarok DLC was 13 months apart.
And the first game’s DLC’s weren’t that good. So Sony wants their new DLC’s to excel in quality.
It should make sense for them to take this long.

Since Fantastic Four was teased in Spider-Man 2 with the Baxter building, I think it would be pretty cool if they added Human Torch races from the Ultimate game.

@@thatweirdguyinthecorner races are boring. They need to create something new and/or interesting. For example, open world boss fights, but more complicated (more abilities and patterns for bosses) and diverse (more bosses including some from the story) than in Ultimate SM. Or they can create a new procedurally generated crime system. System in MSM 1, MM and 2 is a joke.

Well, why does Carnage have to be DLC? He was probably {and most likely} another Spider-Man 3 tease, similar to Hush in Arkham City for Arkham Knight.

If there is DLC coming, the question should be "Will Sony time it to release along side PS5 Pro?". If the answer is yes, I can see Sony showing that Spider-man 2 DLC in September during the PS5 Pro event, then we could be looking at release date around early November.

We know there's going to be at least one story DLC for Marvel Spiderman 2. Remember when they updated this game and accidentally allowed players to see audio lines for DLC.
The thing that bugs me about that is that I have no idea if it's just an outdated glitch they forgot to clean up or not.

Im guessin that after the leak they went full steam on making changes to Wolverine since that is their next main title, IF we get dlc they’d only start working on it after that.

I think at this moment that a story dlc is not necessary, although it would be cool to see it. But only time will tell. It’s better for Insomniac to keep their focus on Wolverine. It’ll all be worth it in the end.

If they've been focusing on Marvel's Wolverine maybe they haven't started production for their DLCs just yet, maybe they waited until after the game's release
Doubt they’d wait until after they release a major game and then go back to an older game just for a dlc
I definitely don't want them to rush whatever they've got cooking. MSM2 was great, but there were definitely some corners cut (thanks Sony), especially in the side content and feature department, and I really don't want a repeat of that. I do however think that whatever they're planning, they really need to give some kind of statement. Not even an announcement, they could pull a Nintendo and just be like "we're making DLC, bye" (like Prime 4 and TotK) and I think most people would be satisfied with that. Even if they aren't making DLC, if all they got is patches and a couple new suits to tide us over until the eventual PC release so the modders can go ham, then they should say so. Yeah, people will be disappointed, and some people will be mad, but they're kinda already mad at the silence, so you might as well-
There wasn't any official DLC announcements made for Marvel's Spider-Man 2.
They would likely only acknowledge titles that were officially revealed which the only one currently being Marvel's Wolverine.

They should make Carnage dlc or have Spider-man 3 be based on Lethal Protector, Separation Anxiety and Maximum carnage arc and have all the heroes in villains from there in it. Story can be a remake of the 1994/1995 game storylines but it can have its own story. A Maximum carnage/separation anxiety remake would be nice someday. Jim Carrey should voice the carnage symbiote. Wouldn’t mind green jelly involved again lol for carnage rules song.

i have a feeling spider man 2 definitely does get dlc, but it still might not include a carnage storyline, and they’ll save carnage for spider man 3 as a lesser villain, similar to how kraven was the secondary villain in the overall story to venom in spider man 2.

If they do make DLC, I really want them to wrap up the Carnage, Chameleon and maybe the Spider-Verse stories in this game and not have them cross into Spider-Man 3.
Maybe the explanation for Symbiotes still running around in New York after the story is because the Carnage symbiote took over the hivemind after the Venom symbiote was destroyed, preventing some of the symbiotes from being destroyed. We know this to be possible from Let There Be Carnage where it's explained that offspring of symbiotes are always stronger than the predeccesor. Assuming that Carnage is the offspring of Venom, if Venom can create and control a hivemind, Carnage will have no problem taking it over.
Honestly I could go with or without DLC, what I want them to do is just lock in and ACTUALLY FINISH SPIDERMAN 2, Tony Todd even said most of his Venom shit was cut. Give us a “directors cut” for Spiderman 2 that actually fleshes out Venom and the entirety of act 3. I need that before we even consider any kind of DLC😂😂

The only thing that can work as a replacement for the dlc in my opinion is if a Spider-Man 2.5 game gets released going over the DLC content that was planned with Carnage being the big bad of it with Peter getting rid of Anti Venom to stop Carnage and showing a scene linking Cindy Moon to being Silk for Spider-Man 3 though that's only if Insomniac wants to go down that route.

It’s very likely them just deflecting attention away from it. It’s not like them to acknowledge leaks and the dlc just more than likely isn’t ready yet.
They still have to update with the charity suits, so at least 1 update is still left.
Carnage might be a 2nd villain for SM3 or a Spider-man 3 dlc rather than a spider-man 2 dlc, since Carnage is more powerful, I’d reckon it’ll take Miles, Peter and Silk to take him on
I hope we get a story expansion with carnage, & get rid of the antivenom suit. I don’t want the symbiote to play a factor in the 3rd game at all

People need to understand that Insomniac Games did go through layoffs. Perhaps causing a pause on the Spiderman 2 DLC's. Also, Insomniac Games are focusing on other projects.
I think it's more of a "Let's not allow Sony to rush us again" kind of scenario. They're not idiots - they know people see the game got pushed out the door too early.
Dlc could be their way to make good on their credibility. But that means development is gonna go a lot slower.

I'm honestly fine with no DLC story if they're saving that part for the third game, All that matters is some of the insomniac developers deserve a lot of rest and break time after the development of Marvel Spider-Man 2.
After all they did give us a bunch of updates, patch fixes, additional suits and so much more for Spider-Man 2, No matter, we will be patient and we will respect their Developers.
Once they're done with their break, let's let them finish up Wolverine.

I hope that along with DLC that we can also possibly see some story beats involving Cindy Moon, kinda like the phone calls between Peter and Miles in the first game dlc but more in depth and story related. Maybe she can help out the two in some way and we could possibly see how she gets her powers and become Silk later on. Or maybe I'm getting my hopes up🤔

Were probably not getting story dlc because the venom spin off game they're making will include carnage leading into spider-man 3 wouldn't make much sense to throw in a big threat that miles and Peter can't beat without a major help and that only help I can think of is venom and it wouldn't make sense just to throw him back in without a solid story behind it

Why would they outright and say they are working on dlc for the game if they didn’t not announce it. Remember god of war got his dlc a year after release and horizon 2 got hers a year and 2 months after release.

Insomniac themselves leaked the first DLC that was leaked in that of the Beetle from that NG+ update. So it's coming, but they don't want to or can't say anything.
Insomniac didn't leak shit, people went and found that. Also that could've just been scraped assets that didn't make it into the game and were left over.
@@Mrsplifferdoodle Pretty sure if no DLC was coming they would tell us in order to temper people's feelings on the matter. But they haven't so it's both neither confirmed nor denied, but I'm confident it's happening until they say otherwise

My thought process is that since the ng+ was pushed back a quarter or two the dlc have also been pushed back a quarter or two as well. Since I’m the leaks the three dlc were supposed to be at the beginning middle and end of the year. So maybe ng+ was quarter one, nothing for quarter 2 and maybe dlc for 3 and 4 and then quarter 1 for 2025
The initial game was under baked from a rushed release. They probably don't have anything started like they did for the first game let alone close to release.
