Great work as always. I was playing around with an old ipod format fat32 and partitioned it. Spent days trying to work out why it wouldn't work. Thanx again (problem solved)
Thank you for this! I hope there's no issues plugging this into CDJ-NXS2000s or above as you'd mentioned - my biggest fear is that the CDJ owners systems I play on don't update their firmware regularly and are running an older version
Just had a gig last weekend and I faced issues with this once more. I had three USB sticks with me, one formatted as FAT32 and two of them Mac Journaled Extended. One of the Mac formats didn't read the tracks, second Mac format did read the tracks, but didn't play and pointed and error that I can't remember now, but the FAT32 worked. The hardware was CDJ2000. All them formatted correctly, exported tracks on Rekordbox and all them showing normally. I just can't figure out what the hell is actually the difference, because sometimes the Mac format works and sometimes FAT32 and I can't remember when was the last time I played with something older than CDJ2000 (20 years of DJing behind me)

I left my FAT32 stick alone and formatted an unused USB to MacOS journalized (APFS), and I could sync from RB. the only downside I could find to formatting to APFS is that my XDJ RX2 takes a little longer to recognize the stick. One question I have: where do the players store the history on the USB? I would like to copy the history from the FAT32 to the APFS stick.
APFS and macOS Extended are 2 very different formats. APFS is not supported by any stand alone gear. The History is not something you can simply copy from one USB to another. I'll show in this weeks AMA how you can clone from FAT32 to HFS.
