One light coat followed by two heavy. From the video you look like you have the guy too close to the body. Longer strokes with the gun. Either all the way down the car or all the way down the panel. You usually want to do your hard to reach places first, wheel wells, door jams.

Kustom Painting Made Easy With John Kosmoski video. Goes over a lot. Not here to criticize cuz no one can judge you for trying to do your thing. Hopefully your project is coming out nicely. 🏄

What pressure. Do you remember. Im spraying first time and it stripped like crazy. Fluid is all the way out. Maybe i set it wrong. Spec sheet for the primer says 7-9 psi

My gauge is hard to read but its betwen 25-40 psi. 7 to9 psi seems way too low. The slec sheet usualy list pressure at the cap. Aka the nozel end of the gun which is wrong.

@@Wrenchlife604 I did run it at 28 and it just wasn’t enough coming out. Even with the fluid and fan maxed. Not sure what I’m doing wrong. I’m going to sand it flat then attempt another coat. Some of it looks perfect while other seems very dry. I can’t imagine what the base would look like. Expensive lessons.

@@Imwright720 reduce your mix a little more. i use a more reducer then recomended. and it shoots out better. you will need more coats but it lays out nicer. up the pressure if you need to aswell. find out what works with your setup

@@Wrenchlife604 there is no indication on the spec sheet that it can be reduced. I have the hardener but I don’t think you mean that. It’s nason 2k urethane primer, not the high build one, at least it doesn’t say it. This is literally the first time so I’m following the spec sheet the best of my ability. I wish I knew before that the 8-10 psi was at the tip. The next 2 coats will be at 40-50 psi, After I fix my water problem in my air line. I will google what I can thin it with and give that a try. Thanks.

Omg I hope you dont do this as a job or a side job for other people. You're horrible. Who taught you how to shoot paint? It's alright if you do it for yourself.
