  • Things have been hectic to say the least at our house for almost the last year: job changes, medical issues, family things. We finally made back into the garage to start building a motor for the 49 Chevy pickup. We usually drive this truck the most and have really missed being able to use it. I mean, it still runs but the city we live in would think we are fogging for mosquitos as bad as the oil leak in the motor is. Check out the video to see how we progressed on the new motor!

My current project is removing the engine/trans, interior and all the good parts from a wrecked 82 Z28 donor with 45,500 original miles and swapping it all over to an 84 Z28, I also have a 91 swb 4.3 5-speed Silverado and a 73 Mercury Comet I'm working on.

Im no mechanic but I can change parts😂 . I was going to get me a 350 and build one for a 3rd gen camaro. Not sure if i was going to go with a roller cam or just a flat tappet cam. Not sure the price difference. I wasn't going for a race engine either. Just something with a little horsepower with a good lope sound. It will bey first engine I build too😂.
Just tired of all the computers and sensors. Time to go back old school and keep everything simple.
