- In this grasshopper tutorial, I will talk about one of our subscriber's question. Emilio asked about the little icons you see when you right click on the component's input or output. I will explain about them in this video.

This is Crystal Clear, you really went into the most important details using patience and time, and this is exactly what's needed to grasp those concepts. Thanks!
This is by far the best explanation of list management if Grasshopper I have come across, with simple but effective examples. Thank you and keep up the nice work!

Wow this is amazing!!! I really like the clear explanation and how you actually show how the data looks!! I was very confused about lists and how/why you would use the flatten graft and simplify tool.
You're welcome. I'm glad you found it useful 👋
Thank you so much for the great tutorial. can you give some more information on tree structures(data)?
very clear! thanks!
You're welcome 👋
Thank you very much :)
thank you so much
Awesome...thanks
🖐🙏
thank you
Very helpful bro.
🙏
Thanks.... 👍
thank you !
You're welcome!
thANKS A LOT~
🙏
Thank you for this great explanation
You were using the term 'group', which is simple and meaningful
Usually in the Grasshopper community, they use the term 'list'
🙏
Thanks you
You're welcome Sergio
Thank you so much for very clear and helpful explanation.
Can we use flatten on a deconstruct brep component applid on a group of elements , to isolate one of them?
You're welcome
Try shift paths to pull back a set of grouped data. Flatten will just put everything in one group
that was helpful :)
🙏
finally I understand what flatten and graft are xD
thnx
nice~~~
🙏
wow!!
hey p.h which program do you use to type/drawn in the screen?
What do you use to zoom and annotate screen?
hey, I really appreacite your work. I was thinking to get a 3 months plan, but monthly payments of 30+$ would be better for me than paying once 100$. Have you considered to enable payments in monthly instalments?
Thanks So So. Unfortunately our minimum plan is 3-month and that is because we are adding weekly videos to the course.
@@ParametricHouse yes, i get it :) I would of course get a 3 months plan, but rather pay each month for the period of these 3 months than make payment once, at the beginning.
i have been looking for a while how u automatically show the grasshopper command name at the top of it when put it in grasshopper? is it using another plug in or just settings? this video is really helpful, thank you
🙏 bifocals plugin
@@ParametricHouse Thankyou very much, already subscribed. I am looking for a tutorial about preparing a file in rhino/grasshopper for ready to 3d/laser printing, like the labeling or numbering, is there any material about this?
Can you, please, explain what is the Path Mapper component, what is used for, when we should use it ? Thank you.
Well i believe you really don't need the Path mapper component most of the time. Install the Treesloth plugin and actually you will have the path mapper functionality much easier
@@ParametricHouse thank you, I'll check that out
hey, these options when right clicked are not shown for me.., only preview, enabled and bake is shown, can someone tell me a solution to this
🙂
How to show the name of the component above the component?
Ex. word "Point" above "point component"
Very informative, thank you,
Perhaps a bit too quick with your ability, overpowering the time it take’s to see what you just did and how!
Thank goodness for pause & rewind
You're welcome :) Glad that it's useful
:)
tks it was such a pain to understand graft and flatten
You're welcome :)
Wouldn't it be better if you used the term "paths" & "branches," instead of "groups"...?
There are just enough visual context clues to follow along, but I witnessed new Grasshopper users who had a tough time following along during the "flatten" & "graft" demonstration of your video.
The offical Grasshopper help documents & Grasshopper UI itself use the terms "paths/branches/data items", so they found it hard to follow along as you tried to explain data items ("leaves") & branches as "groups" (e.g., @10:12).
It did not help that the video kept repeating "groups" when there's a frequently utilized Rhino command, "_Group."
Your videos are generally helpful, but using proper/technical terms (b/c Rhino & Grasshopper are very technical) & being succinct with your words could avoid further confusion to other viewers out there as well.
This was not a help because rhino six works a bit different when it comes to the loft command
