Oh my goodness Gillian! I love this guy cuz I am lactose intolerant and nuts and tolerant. So when he said that the cashews are as bad as the milk products, I've slapped out loud and trying to say this for the last 10 years. That's why it was always hard for me to stay on raw cuz I didn't feel like I got everything. I need it because they made everything from sauces to desserts with cashews.... Thank u I use no oils . I purchased a raw vegan cookbook n all the recipes used too much oil. Oil makes me ill . I am taking cashews out of my diet as I do notice it bothers my GI system . Oh how I miss Kauai Lived there in the 70 s . There was hardly anyone on Kuhio hwy . Beaches n waterfalls quiet roads de horses on the beach . It was truly paradise then . Only thing is one ca. it just purchase the cookbook it’s seems it’s in a bundle and I would just like the cookbook . My budget is limited . 🤨🤔

Interesting about cashews!
Interesting perspectives. There is definitely a spectrum of life vs decay when it comes to food, yet I personally feel that fermented foods are on the spectrum of decay along with fungus and yeast. Our bodies naturally create the microorganisms we need without having to introduce them as probiotics or pre-formed bacteria. There are some interesting studies that present this counter opinion to fermented foods. Also fermented foods tend to be acidic even if they are plant based.

"Cashews are the lesser evil of just eating dairy." I admit that cashews are not raw and that some people have a cashew intolerance. But I don't bellieve you can put cahsews right behind dairy on the EVIL FOOD list.

Cashews really bad because when I eat few I get big bloated belly and gas and my stomach is full but my eyes become dull and my body feels lethargic...

I wish i had a restaurant like his in Florida! I have worked in restaurants my while life abd have served in fine dining for 30 years while being a vegan nostly raw and i never even taste the food im serving .... Theres never any place i will go out to eat ....i havent eaten in a restaurant since 2014.....

What is surprising is that in Hong Kong for example they are all big meat eaters and that is where there is the greatest life expectancy, many centenarians, they do not eat their meat raw but well cooked. It is strange. I live in France, and I know a lot of French people here who follow the ketogenic/carnivorous diet, they are in excellent health and there are a lot of athletes who follow this very meaty diet rich in animal fats. What do you think about all this?

Love this interview. He has so much knowledge - I've learned a lot and I'll definitely buy his book. He sounds like he has the potential to bring raw living foods finally among the mainstream. Very interesting interview and guest too, as always Gillian. Just one thing, I live far away from Hawaii but I do know about huge environmental crisis related to Mosnanto and pesticides in that area, I believe they left somewhere in 2021 after huge lawsuits. All that to say, I don’t believe Hawaii are such unpolluted area as your guest is claiming, but I do appreciate all efforts regarding raw and living health movement.

Great info.. I wanted to add that almost all store bought spices are irradiated as well. It’s just as important to source your spices and get them locally, if possible, fresh and even grind them yourself. Get a nice stone or ceramic mortar and pestle. 💜

Great interview! I heard him before on another channel a couple years ago about the amazing bodywork he does! Had no idea he was a raw chef! He has soooo much knowledge!
