Catholic Brothers For Christ 2015 North Texas Catholic Men's Conference at the Hurst Conference Center was amazing. Many men experienced a spiritual transformation and revival of their faith and hope.
We were edified, encouraged and inspired by our great speakers: Bishop Michael Olson, Father Larry Richards and Tom Peterson. The fellowship was awesome. We all now have a new Band Of Brothers who will help us walk the difficult path of life with a greater experience of faith, hope and love.
Father Larry Richards speech was titled "Spiritual exercises to prepare us for battle!" Growing in holiness is the key to being an effective spiritual warrior.
He did not disappoint. We were on fire after his presentation and examination of conscience before the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
Father Richards truly is a gifted and captivating speaker, preacher and retreat master. He asked us and answered some of life’s most profound questions.
Our mission is: "To motivate all Catholic men to commit to building the body of Christ, by uniting as brothers, witnessing the Gospel in all areas of our lives, and facilitating faith building programs in our community."
We hope and pray you will become a part of our team by helping us spread the word about the conference in your parish and among your family and friends.
We realize it is only through the power of the Holy Spirit that we are able to do any of this. We hope and pray the Holy Spirit will also inspire you to become an integral part of the North Texas Catholic Brothers for Christ.
By uniting as Band Of Brothers, we can accomplish amazing feats, as we work together to build the Body of Christ. To be a good man under God's eyes we must: Go to mass every day, pray the rosary practice charity and not to fail any of the 10 commandments. And all of these can only be done if we spend a lot of time in front of the Holy presence of Jesus at the Holy Sacrament.

We are born we learn and then we forget.
Amen, the Bible is so key! And prayer! Without knowing His Word, we won't know that Christ went to the cross to SAVE us OUT OF SLAVERY to SIN. Very few of us realize this. God hates sin, and He provided a way for us to OVERCOME sin, flesh, and the devil. Christ tells us many times in Rev. 2 & 3 that we need to be OVERCOMERS! If Christ is in us, and we have faith to know that He overcame sin, we must realize we have Christ's power, His Holy Spirit, in us. Nothing is impossible for us! Mt. 17:20; Lk. 1:37. The Bible clearly says that if we seek Him with ALL our hearts, we will find Him. Jer. 29:13. Also that IF we hunger and thirst for righteousness, we will be filled. Mt. 5:6. Are we coveting righteousness? Do we believe these things? Well, God does not lie, let's just take these things on faith. Heb. 6:18. Romans 6 is all about faith.... it's about conquering sin. Sin shall NOT have dominion over you! Rom. 6:14. So.... do we believe it?

We all can choose to go to hell or heaven....we can choose to allow the Holy Spirit to come into us or we can reject Him......With me He jumped in and is really working me over...Let this message go deep DEEP into your soul..especially if you have a family...and understand that comments like 25EllisDee25 made probably have their origin someplace where there is a lot of smoke and fire...pray for that person..I did

the best way to deal with atheist in my opinion is to shut your mouth up and let him rant. to try to answer the question the atheist posed or to debate is futile since he or she don't believe when you offer them answers to their questions. i heard somebody says even if God appears in front of him, he would say are you really God?

Fr. Richards seems more Lutheran than many Lutherans. He said "I teach scriptures." I'm a Lutheran, I can compare this to many Lutherans I know. Not that Fr. Richards is a protestant mind you, it's his Fr. Martin Luther attitude toward scripture and his reminder of St. Jerome, "ignorance of Scripture is ignorance of Christ."
Joe Knopick He does say the first thing you should do in the morning is read your Bible. The Bible is important, but I think a book on Church teaching, with Scripture where it applies, is better. Maybe Fr. Richards figures you already know your faith, if you listen to his talks, but, out of context and without a strong faith formation, one might infer wrong things about what it says from innocence or personal biases.

No, you are very wrong. The Scripture, only the Scripture, will be able to speak to you PERSONALLY in the way that this man has instructed you clearly.

Scripture is the Word of God, the teaching of the Church is the words of men ABOUT the Word of God.
Read Church teaching at another time, look up things you are in confusion about, but the teaching of the Church in not Holy in the way that the Word of God is holy and has power to reach into your mind and your soul and your spirit and your body and change you so it is now not you, but Christ living in you.
The cowardly fear that you will be deceived by reading the Word of God without somebody holding your hand is childish, immature, gutless and weak.
