I love computers for the use of creating technologies and building the future with the power of creativity through your minds and solving complex problems hypothetically/theoretically for example kind of scenario for example
I’m sure you’ve already gotten a ton of comments about this with some of them not being as kind as they could be but I would remove the CPU cooler and rotate it 90 degrees counterclockwise for better airflow. Additionally, I’m not 100% sure what your use case is for this system but if you plan to actually use it to game and edit videos, you’re going to need a graphics card to do it well. You don’t have one currently so you’re only running on the integrated graphics on the cpu which are not very powerful. Hope that info helps!
Alyssa, thank you for sharing your build and it is great to see that with "some" guidance that someone unfamiliar can achieve a great outcome! I Love to see you using 32GB of memory with your build. I know this isn't your bread & butter but it would have been nice to see the installing of "Windows" as well as your set-up of BIOS. Perhaps this is something to ask your father but just to make you aware..... Motherboard manufacturers are establishing an overclock value in which the CPU can operate. These are abnormally high settings and may make your system run hot! As you use an air cooler this may overwhelm your cooler and cause it to shut down. If this happens and you or your dad aren't sure about these settings (if it happens) a UA-camr Carey Holzman did several videos on this topic showing different brand motherboards. This was back in March (I think). I am about to do a build with an i5 14500 and a Asrock Z690 board and I don't want premature wear on my CPU as I'm sure you don't. Thank You for sharing your build!
its nice to watch someone build their first pc but if you are someone who wants to build their first pc I would recommend a video from someone with more experience and whose point of the video is how to build a pc which also gives you information as well as shows you how to build it. The point of this video is not that but for a building a first pc video its a good video :) EDIT: Also I know the description says tutorial on how to build pc please don't use this video as guide or see it as one just see it as someone building their first pc video and enjoy seeing them do it
That's a very respectable build. However be aware that 13th Gen Intel CPUs run pretty hot, so keep an eye on your CPU temperatures. That cooler may not be enough, esp. if you do CPU-intensive gaming or video editing.
Nice build but I mimic another comment down below, rotate that CPU cooler 90 degrees so that fan is towards the front of the case and find yourself a GPU and you have a great build!
I am really hoping your comment was sarcasm. Considering the hyper 212 halo is a 120w tdp and the I7-12700k has a base TDP of 125 watts. When turbo boosting, it can reach up to 190 watts the 212 is a really piss poor choice.
Hmm "gaming pc" Using only an IGPU. The hyper 212 halo is a 120w tdp and the I7-12700k has a base TDP of 125 watts. When turbo boosting, it can reach up to 190 watts. The 212 is a really BAD choice. I am sorry but Your description says "In this comprehensive, step-by-step tutorial, I'll walk you through everything you need to know to assemble your very own gaming or work computer." Where is the comprehensive, step-by-step tutorial????? You said your dad Knows a lot about computers has been building his own computers since you were little. He should KNOW better. Hell I think the Verge did a more comprehensive and accurate video lmao. ua-cam.com/video/ZDbHnRWSXTk/v-deo.html

Great video, educational for those of us who have no clue or idea what we are doing to start.
Really???? Do not build your PC based off this video. It doesnt show shit for how to do things or even what parts actually make sense.

where's the gpu? And if you plan on getting it later on which do you plan on purchasing?
awesome. well done 👍🏼🤘🏼🔥

Please rotate the cpu fan . The fan should be vertical and not horizontal
you put the cpu fan maby 45 degres wroong fan shall be with memorys now will them grapics card heat up your cou fan
dont worry 212 halo black on lga 1700 totally not gonna run hot (should have gotten an aio)

@@csjpokey it was sarcasm. the 212 halo is used to cool lower end am4 and am5 cpus as well as low end lga 1700 cpus
even the lowest end of aios can cool the 12700k
now show how you set up bios ...xd or you dont? xd if not
Lmao. Did not even show ho to build it. Parts not even right for each other. I am guessing her and her dad have no idea how to even get into the bios

I dont know why ... but even when you said you dont know much about the components and started talking about it... I KINDAA FELT VIOLATED...
.... What?
