I just have to add my son was always drawing growing up and as a Mom his art meant everything to me. It was always perfect….to me, but he would say it wasn’t perfect or he wouldn’t be totally proud of his drawings. Hearing you say how you have felt the same way gives me insight into how he was feeling. He would start, stop, throw away, and eventually gave up on his artistry. Through the years I always said he could draw on his walls, I didn’t care. lol. I’ve been begging him to start again but I see I need to give him grace to find his way back. I hope he will. 🎨

Art really is a journey for everyone who embarks on it. There are highs and lows and all in between. I myself gave up drawing for a few years and told myself I was no good but as time went on, I came back around and started falling in love with it again. There are still days where I feel burned out and don’t want to focus on art though. It’s all a part of the journey. As for your son. He may or may not come back to it and either choice is perfectly fine. I know deep down he really appreciated your support and positivity about his work and that’s something that he will subconsciously carry with him forever. You sound like you did an excellent job as a mom and as a supporter❤️
Your space looks great! The little yellow shelf is so cute! The whole space looks so cozy and inviting and colorful! I started a studio redecoration vlog forever ago and this is inspiring me to finally finish it haha
I loved this video as an introduction to both you and your channel and can’t wait for what’s to come. I would love to be able to do this and am hoping in the new year that I’ll be able have a fully functional personal art room where I don’t have to constantly clean up every time I need to stop for the day. I think it’s so cute the light system you’ve set up with your boyfriend, 😊 I understand the ‘embarrassment/nervousness/anxious’ feeling of having someone listening in as you work, I’m a very nervous, anxious person myself and remember while in high school having to practice doing speeches for English I used to whisper or wait till my mum wasn’t home.😅 I was a nervous wreck when it came to actually doing the speaking in classes, I’d speak so fast that I’d have to be told repeatedly to slow down. If you’re looking for video ideas, maybe doing a short one on your art journey, how you came to this stage in your art could be one. Maybe books or artists that helped you progress. I definitely think even asking some of your subscribers what would they like to see from you, you could maybe even give them a couple choices. Last but not least least I think you should certainly listen to you mum and those around you you that tell you your art is amazing, while I may have only seen what you’ve shown on you 2 videos so far it’s clear you have talent and just need to trust in yourself more. I relate so much to being a nervous wreck when having to speak in class!! I myself also tend to practice what I’m gonna say before I say it In many situations in life haha.
