- This is a coast to coast vlog, when I went out to try and capture the full super Sturgeon moon rising and also setting over 2 iconic locations in Scotland.
For the moon rise I headed east and attempted to capture a shot over Edinburgh castle before heading west and try and capture the moon setting behind the Ailsa Craig.
I only had 8 hrs from the moon starting to rise before it set, let's see how I got on.
Great video with behind the scenes. Thank you for sharing.
Very kind of you
Great to see behind the scenes! Great work
Cheers Jamie
Epic stuff, great video.
Very much appreciated, thank you
Wow! Now that night was a success! Bet u were half asleep! Absolutely unreal results man! Love the video!
Cheers mate, I hadn’t noticed that 10 second blank screen towards the start which is a school boy error on my part.
I liked the wee boat going across in front of the Ailsa Craig, like it was towing or being towed by the moon
@@amacmedia3221 Yeah I noticed the boat, brilliant how it followed the moon! rare to have so much clear skies so you can travel all night without worrying about clouds
@@scotlandsnightsky definitely a one off lol
Wonderful stuff! Ah sat up aw nicht wondering whaur the sun had gaun, and then it dawned on me. Cannae say the same aboot the mune.
Thank you, it was a lovely clear night
Always some debate if you can tell from photos the difference between a Moon rise/set(same would go for Sun rise/set too).I don't think that you can tell them apart unless you knew the direction or ,in the case of the Moon, some stars and planets where in the photo.
You wouldn’t normally have stars visible when capturing a cityscape moon rise.
At sunrise it’s usually a lot brighter, where as a full moon rising is normally after the sun has set so the skies are starting to get darker, in my opinion
