- The Sanctuary Choir, The Cathedral Choir of Young Men and Boys, The Cecilian Carolers, organ and orchestra perform "Love Divine, All Loves Excelling" in the 2009 Christmas concert from First Presbyterian Church, Davenport, Iowa. Arrangement by Mack Wilberg was commissioned for this church and this choir, conducted by Steven R. Jobman.

To have another church and three choirs take one of Macks' arrangements and use it to glorify God is beautiful in and of itself.
I had the privilege of performing this arrangement being directed by Mack Wilberg. This is easily in my top ten songs I have performed in a lifetime of choral singing. You guys did a terrific job with it.
Look for the face of God in the winter of discontent, as well as in the summer of joy. He is the God for all seasons!

This presents a mere taste of what one's soul might experience at being called through the Narrow Gate and hearing the Celestial Choir welcoming the new soul into God's Beatific Vision. It brings tears to my eyes imagining what it might be like for those of us who may come to know The Father's glory. Beyond all senses and imagination. O Come let us adore Him!

Every so often I come back and listen to this again for the pure joy of it. It brings me to tears every time. First, Mack Wilberg's arrangement is genius. Second, these choirs and instrumentalists from Iowa put such emotion and love into it. Just wonderful. Frankly, the MTC doesn't hold a candle to this ensemble in the beauty of this performance.

Where did you get the brass parts? I have one trumpeter and would like even just a trumpet part (remainder accompanied by organ).
Hi: I asked the conductor and his reply was "All instrumental parts are rental only through Oxford/Boosey & Hawkes".
They did it good justice, but the version of America's choir ( the Mormon Tabernacle Choir ) for which the music was originally arranged by its director- Mack Wilberg, it is BY FAR SUPERIOR. NO Q's asked.
Wilberg is better than beecher I believe.
