Coincidence.. Parodius and Kirby both end with a Penguin battle. Parodius features a metal Penguin called The Pentarou X. PENTA tarou means the five elder and X means 10 (two versions). Kirby of course, has King DeDeDe. Penguins are associated with frozen climates and extreme cold, freezing lakes etc.
The end theme is often called Flight of the Bumblebee, which is associated with honey and Mead.
Other elements of Parodius include the Moai, The Dancing Lady and a cat creature usually as a battleship Ranged Melee pun.
