I’m just getting into becoming a plant parent and I’m in the middle of propagating my first philodendrons! Thank you for this video, I learned sooooooooo much 🤍
This was the video that inspired me to take clippings off my moms philodendron and propagate my own! I’m about to put my roots into the pots i just bought today so i came back to freshen up on my potting knowledge, honestly you’re so adorable thanks for sharing your plant knowledge it really encouraged me to do this and it’s been so rewarding already
Very interesting and step-by-step explanations. May I suggest that the pot be filled a bit lower and, after putting the cuttings with roots on top of the soil, you continue to fill the pot for about two centimetres. This way the roots will embed more in the potting soil. I like your videos very much. Keep them up please.
That's what I normally do, but I was a bit naughty and cut the process short for the sake of video.. but next time I won't do it again. 😅 Thank u for watching! =)
Thanks for this helpful video. I am about to propagate mine and was concerned about it’s regrowth. It makes me happy to see so many new growth points from all over the vine!!!
Thank you, this was very helpful! :) I have a philodendron erubescens and it grew so wild and asymmetrical to one side. It was such a relief to untangle and prune it with the help of your video, I have so many cuttings that I put in water now! :D
Hello Miss Jacqui, thank you for the video, you explained it very simply. Thanks for speaking english, a lot of Asians don't!! now I know what my mistakes were when I tried to make cuttings to start 3 new plants. I put them in a paper cup, but its so warm where I live that the water dried up too quickly. Again thanks so very much. Would you happen to grow Hoya's also???? I'm watching this in June of 2023. GOD bless you or which ever God you serve. Peace ❣❣🌴
Yes I’m so happy when my propagations actually grow roots! 🤗. I recently trimmed my Tradescantia Bolivian, it was a huge ball, but looking inside there were so many brown tiny leaves, I went crazy and chopped it 😱. Now I have like 10 pots of propagations growing 😍. Not sure what I’m going to do with them, it’s crazy 🤪. I did the same with my Tradescantia Zebrina, now I have a lot of those potted up. The mother plant was huge and beautiful, now I have so many 😰. My next propagations might be my Philodendron Brazil, the trails are like 3ft long, I love the way it looks, but I’m greedy, I want more!!! ☺️. Thanks for the video. I’m so happy you showed it from the start to the potting. Most of the time we have to wait for another video for the results, by then I’ve forgotten 😏 so definitely always film like that 👍🏼 Happy Planting 💜🌺🌸🥰
The key is don’t over water it. If it’s summertime, i water it once every 7-10 days. During winter once every 2 weeks. To make it simple, If u think it’s dry that’s the time u water it. 😀
Hello! I just watched this nice video. I have had a cutting from a friend's philodendron and it still has not produced roots in the water. I did not have it in indirect sunlight. I did everything you said to do. So now I did put it in indirect sunlight. It has been a month, no roots! Not sure what I did wrong???
Beautiful philodendron. When winter is over I'll have to add it to my collection. I briefly saw your Yucca in one of your videos, do you have any videos/tip on how to care for it?
I water my Yucca every 10 days give or take. it's very low maintenance and sometimes i forgot I have a Yucca. lol. and it grows really slow, too. Thanks for watching =)
I have a question...Iam sure you will be able to help me...I tried propogating philedendrons in the same way...since there are no leaf nodes above the soil will this be a success...if yes then how?mine hasn't yet started to grow...but the leaves are fresh... please guide
hi Jacqui, I love your video. after you cut the clippings and put in water, do you put it by the window for roots to grow? I have a bright west window.can it take that much light? thanks
I propagated three cuttings of my long philodendron about 2-3 weeks ago and their roots are going in water well. As for the original plant, how long does it take before the stems that were cut begin growing out again?
I propagated my philodendron cuttings in water until they had grown roots and then potted them but they haven't grown and it has been months, this has happened twice. They stay alive in the soil but remain just one leaf and never grow beyond this. What is going on? It bum me out.
My reason is I want to have more out of it, and I would be able to give to my friends. =) and propagating plant is healthy too. it will be bushier and will promote new growth.
There is no particular season to propagate plants. However, they would propagate better during spring when the cold weather would be almost over. This is not an expert advice, but it always work for me (central mediterranean climate).

This is the best video ever I watched. Straight forward. Simple. It answered all my questions in mind. Thanks so much.
Thank you, even now your video is helping newbies like myself, and it showed exactly what I was trying to find out!!

I LOVE propagating my plants. Most of my plant babies started as cuttings.

Wow! Thanks for the updates in the same video!👍👍👍👍
Such a great, well explained, easy to follow video! Just took cuttings from my Philodendron and your video helps a lot!
Was looking for exactly this kind of video/process. Thank you so much!
Thank you so much! I found this plant in a flower arrangement and searched how to grow it!
Followed your propagating tip. I’m on day 1 :) excited to see results. Thanks for your video 👍😊
I love ur energy!!! And thank you for this video it was so helpful I just propagated my Heartleaf philodendron

Very nice propagation! Looking forward to see your updates on them.
i will do updates in the future. =) Thank u
Heart Leaf Philodendron are my absolute favorite.
Yes sure you did give us some very good tips .
Awesome video 👍
Great video to help teach me propogation on my heart shaped philodendron. Can you do a video on soil propogation?
I am propagating some of mine and yes like you said it’s very easy to propagate.

Your video is easy to follow and understand. I won’t be afraid to cut mine now. How often to do water your new plants please?
The key is don’t over water it. If it’s summertime, i water it once every 7-10 days. During winter once every 2 weeks. To make it simple, If u think it’s dry that’s the time u water it. 😀

Thank you for the well-explained video. I hope to be successful propagating my plant. I agree they are very beautiful!
Thank you so much. I'm about to try this. My family has a philodendron that has grown more than enough for me to take some clippings.
I have one in water that I’m
propagating and hope to plant soon . I enjoyed this video .
How long did you leave em in the jar after you seen roots growing?
I loved this video so muvh thank you I love plants so muvh😊❤️❤️❤️
I love propagating ...we have the ,water propagate then in to soil..
More power and godbless
So if you prune it, there will be sprouts in each node of that vine? It'll become bushy then?
Thank you! We loved your video! How are your plants going?
How often do you water it after you plant it? What a beautiful plant!
around once every 7 to 10 days. if soil gets dry to touch, that's the time u water it. =)
Thanks! And do you water it right after it's placed in the soil after potted with its new roots?
yes I water them on the same day. not sure if that's the right way to do but it works for me. =)
Perfect! Can't wait to try. Thanks so much for your help!
Excellent guide! Thanks so much, exactly what I was looking for.
Can we get an update on this?
yes it's in the process =)
@@MissJacquiT Did you make one? What's the title of the update video? 😊

My father bought that plant and in less than one year its reached upto 10 foot height....and it's look amazing
I might be getting one of these plants today!! 🤞🤞😁 can they go in a more low light environment?
yes =)

hi Jacqui, I love your video. after you cut the clippings and put in water, do you put it by the window for roots to grow? I have a bright west window.can it take that much light? thanks
i placed it just near the window. indirect sunlight =)
I'm always propagating some thing!
What kind of water are you using ? Do you use water from the faucet or bottled water ?
How long did it take from when you first put them in water to when you potted them?
I propagated three cuttings of my long philodendron about 2-3 weeks ago and their roots are going in water well. As for the original plant, how long does it take before the stems that were cut begin growing out again?
around a couple of weeks.. it will grow fast =)
Hi Ms Jacqui i love watching your videos about propagating, my question after you potted them, do you have to water them? Thanks
yes. before it gets too dry.
How are your plants doing in the soil?
A job well done!
Very good! I'm going to do the same !!! Thank you for your video🙂
i have mine in water for 1 week now... still no roots, but it's alive and healthy. I hope it creates roots someday.
I notice you didn't put it in water.so many people put it in water to bring in the roots.
if i cut a pice of my plant will the mother plant continue to grow in that area?
yes absolutely!
How much water now?
I propagated my philodendron cuttings in water until they had grown roots and then potted them but they haven't grown and it has been months, this has happened twice. They stay alive in the soil but remain just one leaf and never grow beyond this. What is going on? It bum me out.
Thank you dear!!!
شكراً🌹
Thank you! x
It works! It works!!! Thx so much for your helpful video! I just posted UA-cam video I made w my results, inspired by u! Thx so much! 🌱💚👏🏽

This video doesn't really help me because I have a long philodendron. The stems will be longer if I propagate
No, it will be bushier
