1969 SS is my fav. Had one in high school in the early 80’s. Sold her for $1300 bucks when I went off to college. One of my biggest boneheaded mistakes ever. Ugh!! Great vid
It's not too late to get another one! The owner of this one had another one years ago and after selling it, he vowed to get another one, which is the car you see in the video
Gorgeous car. Cars from this era were soooo cool. Yeah they arent very safe and they dont handle that great, but you get so much space, styling, sound, acceleration, and comfort.
The 1970 Chevelle SS is the king…. Bar none…. they are highly sought after and command the most money by sellers. Blue book value backs that up as well….
Personally I'm not a convertible fan at all especially when it comes to muscle cars. To me a convertible Chevelle is the equivalent of having a 4-door Chevelle, but that's just my personal preference so please folks don't be hatin on me if my preferences are different than yours. Having said that, the car is in fantastic shape. It may not bring what a hard top would bring on terms of price, but still worth a pretty penny. Nick Southgate from Maple Motors classic cars in Tennessee sells tons of convertibles.
5:15 Whats so odd about the hood release? All cars back then had an exterior hood release latch. The guy must be a millennial and grew up strapped in a baby seat of his momma's Honda Civic.

The owner of this one had one when he was a kid and sold it for cheap back then. He ended up buying this one later in life
I absolutely love the 66 Chevelle. I had a 66 SS 396 convertible in the service. I regret selling it to this day.

I dig your editing style, and love the deep dive into the history of these cars!
Thank you! The history of cult classic cars has always been fascinating to me and really influences their value
71 SS 454 red with dual black lines down the middle is the signature Chevelle SS I think
That’s a great looking Chevelle!
The 66 Chevelle Convertible sure looks beautiful brother.

So buying a 396 66 4 speed for 32k is a good deal?
@@OGDemonburn absolutely; if it is in good condition
There's a Canadian version of the Chevelle SS (aka the Beaumont SD).

Prices are up because people want them and they are harder and harder to find!
Definitely!
The 1970 LS6 454 SS Chevelle 4 speed. Will bring the highest dollar.
This car is worth at least $80 grand in 2021
The owner has done well
Have one myself all matching #s and I’m here to tell you that it is worth every penny of 80k. Probably even more
That wheel/tire was not available until 1967...

They need a man in his 60s who lived these cars back in the day like me! I had one.
BIG BJOCK
Since when are roll up windows an oddity?
