Thank you very much for this video. I have been searching for days, to find something that explained the attachment weights. I finally found someone that could explain it to me. Once more, thank you. This was super helpful!!!
I got one of these scales today, by ordering it through the mail. It had a little piece of styrofoam in the housing that has the zero point on it, and held the end of the beam in the down position while it was in the mail. I'm going to continue to use it to hold the beam in this position when I'm not using the balance, so that the beam won't constantly move up and down by itself. This is a good scale for a good price.
+MrKJW007 Sure that is a good idea to prevent the beam from moving when not in use. There is also the split rubber grommet that you can install under the platform to prevent the beam from moving. If you need anymore triple beam balances they can be ordered at balance.balances.com/scales/438 MyWeigh 3 beam scales are an extremely good value and they come with the attachment weights while other brands like Ohaus make you pay big bucks for the attachment weights.
No, If you want a tare look at the Ohaus 760-00 but you would only be able to tare up to 225 grams with the Ohaus 760. For the difference in price between the Ohaus 760-00 and the MyWeigh triple beam I would forgo the tare & buy MyWeigh.

Picking it up by the beams and you are going to throw it off and it will need to be serviced. Only pick it up from the base.
You are correct, Only pick it up from the base.
