Those classic hell knights look so cool
Probably the best modern Hell Knight design so far
i hope they use it in Dark Ages. classic hell knight would be cool to see again
LMAO The armor Baron is covered completely except for its fuckin ASS
He's gotta shit somehow
The barons are caked up
No armor in hell could contain those GLUTES!!! 🔥🍑🔥
Easy Access
Crazy ☠️@@yamato4067
The classic hell knight looks so sick, and the red immoran armor for the armored Baron looks way better.
The classic Hell Knight definitely should've made an appearance
Why is no one talking about that the last chaingunner helmet concept is just NCR Veteran Ranger armor from Fallout:New Vegas.
I didn't even notice that, you're right
the last helmet on the top row reminds me of the z-sec from DOOM3
The red armour goes so hard 🔥🔥🔥
Kinda fire 🔥🔥
I can easily imagine how this concept art would look like in actual gameplay
It fits in perfectly
I kinda wish they kept the Animalistic Hell titan designs.
The classic/modern Hell Knight mix is so good
I kinda wish the whiplashes were called twisted sisters
That does sound more like a DOOM name
meh, 'twisted' is a little too corny even for doom standards
@@papayerrip and tear
they are called Sneks now :P
@@papayer There's literally a spider mastermind and bruiser brothers.
Why do the concepts look often better than the ones we have😂🔥
Some of these designs are straight fire 🔥🔥🔥
it's essentially throwing a bunch of stuff into a wall to see what sticks
thats why
Also concept art doesn't always translate into a readable game design ontop of that they can never truly be a copy of the art
A few reasons
1. We're seeing new ideas, and because they're new, we end up liking them a bit more (though, to be honest, this is my less valid reason)
2. Some of these ideas are cool but are either harder to implement or wouldn't be as fun for players to fight in execution (like the dog version of the Whiplash we see)
3. The designs might be too different from the other demon designs, so they chose to keep it consistent instead of going for what looks cool
4. It's more cost-efficient to have one variation instead of multiple. For example, the Possessed Soldier would look cool with multiple design variations, but would that really change our ratings and thoughts on the game? Probably not. So it's cheaper and more efficient to make just one
5. They just thought the final design just looks cooler (I don't think the Hell Knight looks better than the classic design they made at all tbh)
classic hell knigh looks amazing! Like why didn't they?!?!
I'm asking the same thing!
I like the little detail that the Gladiator boss is the last of the original Hell Knight species from the old games
That is a really nice touch
I hope they add all of the unused designs as other variants of those demons in a potential new game
It's always possible
@@HordeModeGaming that is true.we can only pray
If they do ever bring it back we need better playable demons in multiplayer, and not in that janky ass engine either
I guess that Whiplash could've suited D3 a bit.
An idea for a Whiplash design: Its tail could be biological and it's most of the upper half that is tech.
That Tyrant looks even more classic (those hooves and hopefully backward knees)
Exploring designs like this is the reason to want a Doom game to let you "customize" enemies like how they look and behave.
Those Hell Barge/temple carriers are the ones i keep saying could go along with the cut/unused royal archdemons and Barlowe's D4 designs for a specific abstract layer of Hell.
The HK isn't classic enough unless he bleeds green (and if they want to make it more like D3, make the eyes/eyesockets weird or something).
Nice Chaingunner helmets.
Feels like D3 but more advanced tech.
I don't mind Armored Barons being blue because variety is part of Hell.
🎶doom eternal's demons has a lot of cut designs🎶🔥
Bars dude
Damn, I didn’t know this and these look sick wish they would’ve kept some/created new demons based on the designs
They had some good stuff in the works
I Like the Hell Knight, its like the other Demons. Inspired on the Original Game.
Should've been the final design imo
Those Hell Knights are Awesome!!. Why didn't they go with that Design!?.
I'm not sure! It certainly fit the classic art direction
People also love the doom3 alien-like version too much
That classic Hellknight looks sick. Far cooler and way more interesting design for the demon, if you ask me.
I'm pretty sure that design got changed into the gladiator.
@@cultofsquidward4100 Well yeah, the Galiadtor is basically just the original Baron/Hellknight in modern DOOM. However I still don't really like the current Hellknight design.
Even Gladiatior has some differences from the classic HK if you get extra analytical.
Like the hunchback, regular knees and i guess lack of green blood or whether or not the nose has like 3 nostrils.
But even if you don't like the D3 inspired design, i do like that it has weird "eyes" at least.
I can see why they went with it, though.
Hoping that's what they go with next
man that classic hell knight gose hard
Minecraft RTX in nether look insane 💀
💀💀
Fun fact: judging by 2016's closed alpha files, or rather the icon called demon slayer, hell knight should have had horns before DE back then, perhaps this icon is from Doom 4.
Maybe they'll go through with it one day!
They really wanted to give this a more classic modern feel.
They really did dude
That one whiplash on the top left of the black ‘n’ white pics looks crazy, what in the The Thing is that!
It's quite the creature!
Armored baron in red looks so much better. I hope some of these designs can be recycled into entirely new enemies for future titles
You never know what they might reuse
The whiplashes look like Sir Pentious
Indeed they do lol
The armored baron, I can definitely understand why they went with the final design instead, the armor is strikingly similar to elite armor from halo
A lot of these designs look way more horror oriented. Which I would've preferred.
Maybe they'll go in that direction next time
The Spirit reminds me of the Summoner from DOOM 2016
I know I’m not the only one
Probably because it is the summoner from Doom 2016
@@HordeModeGamingoh
ngl the whiplash with whip arms is such a cool design I kinda wish that was in the base game
They had some pretty interesting concepts for the whiplash early on
Nice!!
Btw where do u found the Riot Soldier (chaingunner) concepts?
They come from Ethan Evan's ArtStation page, pretty cool stuff! www.artstation.com/artwork/YeraYw
I would love a doom game with eternal gameplay and classic designs of the demons
I wish they would have kept a class of Hellknight, not just The Gladiator, that used the old deminotaur appearance.
Same here, we need the true OG Hell Knight to return as a super heavy
Damn, those Whiplash designs make me wish it was a Battlemode demon. They would have been sick skins.
Also, WHY ISN'T THAT HELLKNIGHT DESIGN IN THE DARK AGES???
I wish the classic Hell Knight was reused for Dark Ages! I'm a bit disappointed with the design they went for, seems somewhat uninspired
@@HordeModeGaming Indeed. I feel similarly for the Mancubus tbh.
I wish there weren't so many cut designs. If they had a big enough team, perhaps they could've just put them all in. I mean, you don't exactly expect hell to be uniform. The more chaos and variety, the better. Not to mention, that means more hilarious pop up tutorials.
That would've drastically overcrowded the game, cut content is a natural part of game design
@@HordeModeGaming Fair, but wouldn't a crowded setting work for DOOM? "There are too many demons in the room"
So kill them all!
(I get what you mean though.)
Isn't the gradiator a classic hell knight?
Yeah, the last remaining classic Hell Knight
Immoran armor looks way better tbh. It also makes sense because its Dark Lord's thing
I really think the red fits the Baron better
Makes sense, they've always been pink/red
I still can’t understand why they gave the Immoran Barrons blue armor???? Like… blue?????? Why????
Who knows!
I cant lie even through tyrant design is nostalgic but is still prefer the first concept, more mechanical and twisted design
Which add a lot to this demon (in my opinion).
Bro why is the intro so rhythmic?
Couldn't tell you bro
I would have loved a doom game where we could fight the titans, those things were AWESOME,all we can do is hope for DOOM:the dark ages to give us that
Seems like we'll be able to fight the titans using mechs, pretty cool
@@HordeModeGaming can’t wait!imma ask my dad if I can pre-order the game
Red armor for the baron makes more sense then blue no? Wonder why they changed it.
Honestly don't know, may have looked too much like Immora tech
Tyrant looks more like the original cyber demon than the cyber demon does in doom2016
I mean yeah, that's the idea lol
@@HordeModeGaming So is the original cyber demon now referred to as a tyrant in the new games? Might have brainfarted on this one...
We get in mods purpel spirit it calls “schreecher sprite"
Never seen that before, interesting
If the 2016 hellnight had horns and that look i would not be calling him dr borehead the B in borehead is big
The horns do a lot
Wish they kept the purple spirit
Not the standout from this video
I WANT THAT HELL KNIGHTS WITH FUR LEGS SO BAD
Same!
I still think the Gladiator is based on the original Hell Knight
That's correct
I wonder is there any doom 1/2 cut levels?
I know there's quite a few levels that were changed between alpha and release, but I'm not too sure about removed levels. I'll look into it!
I honestly prefer the modern hell knight design.
It's not a bad design, just getting a bit stale
Where are you finding these?
Very 😎
A lot of the art in these shorts come from the Doom Eternal Art Book, although concept artists have posted a lot of unique art on their ArtStation and Twitter pages
@@HordeModeGaming I love game art books.
@@HordeModeGaming thank you
Bro, from where you have got all those files?
The Art of Doom Eternal, ArtStation and Twitter
I honestly don’t like the eternal Barrons with the lova coming out. Looked scarier in 2016
The comically pink Barons looked scarier?
@@HordeModeGaming i honestly think so, looked like flesh
That classic hell knight would have benefited the design of what they gave us in eternal even though it is not 2016/3. And that was a shame that the chain gunner was removed again like when he didn’t make it in 64, RIP😢1994-1994🪦. And since when did the tyrant/cyberdemon quit using steroids?😂
I do like the classic hell knight much more! And the chaingunner did make it into Doom Eternal
@@HordeModeGaming well i hasn’t seen more gameplay or content to eternal that much but do you mean the zombie soldier that’s a reskin of the possessed soldier but with the zombie gunner from doom 1?
