I spent a couple of days in Moree, before travelling south to Narrabri, where I camped at the showground for a few nights whilst having a good look around the area.

Laurie is that a jacaranda trees I can see they are beautiful

As you are probably well aware, I am an expert in botanical names, and the official name is "pretty mauve trees" 😅 ... but I believe that the in laymans terms, they are indeed called Jacarandas. They seem to be pretty common over there. From memory, we see plenty of them when we get to Tamworth. Enjoy your weekend.
