He had a reputation as being very difficult to work with. In Hollywood, they'll deal with someone like that as long as they make good movies. Tom was never that popular, his peak was during his marriage with Roseanne. After their divorce, his popularity decreased.
He didn't act in this scene, it was his real facial expression when he realized that Schwarzenegger hat hit the wrong window...a real one with real glas.
@@No-way-oneway it was supposed to be a movie set one, but actors accidentally stopped in the wrong spot, and Arnie actually broke the other (real) window. Again, you can see it in the other actor's face.
@@Redfox-it9cn That story seems like something they made up afterwards. That sort of thing simply doesn't happen. Actors don't miss their marks when there's a stunt about to happen. There's also a cut right before the glass breaks, and the camera is set up perfectly for where they are standing. On top of all that, breaking car glass with your bare hand is pretty much impossible, no matter if you're named Arnold or not.
as mentioned in a previous comment, that was a real window...what I didn't see mentioned is that there WAS a fake window and Arnie just smashed the wrong one. Arnie didn't even notice, but Tom did....hence his truly surprised "wut" look.
Yeah...no. Real window just does not smash that easily, I don´t care if you are Arnold, besides, he didn´t put that much effort into that punch anyway - no way it was real
That window is in the center of the shot, it's supposed to hit and there is no way to hit any wrong one. However, either the window is fake or not, Arnold must has hold some sharp object, so he could break the glass effortlessly.
@@spikeyok8497 This is back in 1994 though. Look at the reflection in the tinted window and the other one, one is curved (real), one is not (fake). Also if you watch Arnie's face you can see that he realised he fucked up by punching the wrong one.
The window "Harry" breaks is real, Arnold was supposed to break a safety glass window they installed, he broke the wrong one by mistake; that makes "Gib's" reaction even funnier.
Funny enough Cameron came to the same conclusion. This was meant to be the first of a series, then 9/11 happened and he cancelled on the grounds that he didn't think terrorism was funny anymore.
One of my favorite and most humorous scenes in the whole movie, Tom Arnolds reaction after Arnold smashes that car window “Its Gotta be a Typo”😅 9/16/23
Kidnapped? It wasn't a kidnapping. His wife agreed to meet up with the guy. Harry thought they were having an affair, even though his wife didn't sleep with guy, but it was not a kidnapping.
Yes, he's holding the papers up so he can read them while still watching the street. Not much traffic on the street anyway. I would however expect that he would have turned on the cabin light in the car. But it's kind of dark inside until he opens the door and the lights go on.
Tom Arnold should've done more roles like this, he nailed it

his too.
Only Arnie can be cheesy but good as he doesn't take himself that seriously so its badass/amusing.
Only Arnold could get away with breaking a window with his barehand by accident and not flinch.
"Seek help Harry."😁

that was a real window. Tom Arnold was like "...well, shit."
thank you, tvtropes

Arnie accidentally broke the wrong window. Normally fake windows are created out of pressed sugar. This is “enforced method acting” on Tom’s part
At least Harry broke a car window and not Albert's jaw
Yeah, if Gib tried CHEERING HIM UP again, Harry would so be fired.
