- “Code more than just a bossfight,” my brain said. “It’ll be fun,” my brain said. And that’s how I ended up coding the entire beginning to Chapter 3 and taking more than two months to finish it.

I think a more incharacter scene would've been if he turned to stone right as he was doing one of the poses, so its like "this one, or thi-" and then he turns to stone

This is, no joke, the BEST fan interpretation of the beginning of Deltarune chapter 3. (Or atleast from what I've seen.)
except the mini-boss at the end.
no way a pair of mini bosses would introduce basic, blue and green souls with no form of change, especially with the return of the yellow soul because that was for spamton.
hell even queen did not reintroduce one of the soul colors, only spamton did (which makes me think only the secret bosses would reintroduce soul colors)
I love the idea of the creepy TV smile being just a red herring, and a generic enemy
It's certainly creative but just as certainly not going to happen given the Spamton Sweepstakes, the TV with the creepy smile is the next boss, Tenna.
@@fandomguy8025we don't know that. We know Tenna is probably going to be important, but there's no correlation between Tenna and the smile on the tv, at least afair from the sweepstakes
That would honestly be bad writing… Toby wouldn’t set up a creepy smile on the main television AT THE END OF A CHAPTER to be nothing.

You should be here!!’ How is that not the most clear sign of Tenna being the TV? Especially since Tenna is likely to be short of antenna. And what else is Tenna supposed to be lol, the remote?
@@jollyjadentnt7963 first off, Tenna is either the tv or the antenna. Toriel's tv may just be super old but it's much more likely the two are two separate things, meaning they'd probably be two separate Darkners. I'll concede that it's INCREDIBLY LIKELY Tenna is the face we see, it's not a 100% guaranteed thing.
Second off, my point was more so we don't know if Tenna is the next boss. They could absolutely be, but we just don't know enough about them to say if they're even that relevant to the story or if it's just something we've overblown due to lack of any tangible knowledge on Chapter 3.
Missed opportunity to have Susie say, "GOD DAMMIT KRIS WHERE THE HELL ARE WE?"

Some recommendations for the boss fight:
After killing them, Susie just says “…”
Missing a tornado causes it to explode (or something), pushing the arena slightly closer towards the right of the screen, and pushes the soul to the very right of the arena.
Oh and also less reliance of knowledge that the player would only have from playing undertale like the green soul and Orange and blue attacks
I like the idea of you using the unused ost from the checker area! The song was originally cut due to the area being too short but i think Toby mentioned somewhere that he wants an excuse to use it somewhere else in-game later?
Also, well done! i can't imagene how much work and planning this took...

The only problem is that you missed an opportunity to put the purple soul mode in the boss battle at the end there. That would have really completed it.

The only thing I would say as like, most fan-battles I see is that attacks feel _really_ slow or long
But even then, it looks fantastic! Almost like something you'd see in game (Excluding the soul changes probably)

I thought this whole thing was an animation! Oh my gosh, this was SO good! I genuinely might’ve thought this was real if not for the recruit numbers not being there when the battle ended. (Well that and this being tagged as fanmade, but...) Pat yourself on the back! This is fantastic!
Edit: Nonbinary weather people!!!! I am filled with glee! Also I have to say I kind of love the soul mode insanity in their fight. Is it insane? Yes. Is it unrealistic? Yes. But is it super fun to watch? 100%. Keep up the great work!
I feel like thats a bit too early in the actual game to have a miniboss, especially one with 3 different soul modes, and I feel like we would interact with the characters a bit more before we have a fight with them
I also think the new soul modes would be have a small tutorial so people who havent played undertale before wont get too confused and not know what to do
but other than that this was a great video!!! its really impressive that you managed to code all of it in!! and the art and concepts look really nice too!!!
Deltarune is for people that played undertale so I don’t think there would be a tutorial

alright, just watched the whole thing, only complaints are the soul changes not being able to introduce the player to this new soul type (same with the blue and orange attacks.) but ofc, this isn’t real gameplay, and doesn’t matter at all. loved this video, one of the best chapter 3 hypotheticals i’ve ever seen

I definitely think Ralsei should be giving an explanation on each of the SOUL modes + blue & orange attacks, though, in case anyone hasn't played UNDERTALE.
Sonny and Misty here look like a cross between the duos "Thunder and Lightning" and "Wink and Blink" from the first two Pajama Sam games

Also since in the newest newsletter by Toby he stated that he has played through the whole chapter 3 and it felt quite well and there's just a bunch of sections left to finish so we might get chapter 3 this year!
This is amazing. The only thing that I don't really think would happen is the blue and orange attacks randomly being introduced in a miniboss. As well as I dont think a minibus would have a soul mode. But still, incredible work, if you made this

I'm also coding the same concept, a beginning of a chapter, chapter 5 specifically, I hope to finish it soon (I'm in University and don't have enough time, any actually lol).

I love how the static dudes look loke their attacks are unfinished, as if the signal couldn't load it in time
This is amazing! Using the spotlight colors to determine which color your soul is was such a cool idea, and I liked seeing how the shield was incorporated with the lightning and wind
This is incredible, everything about this felt official, the attacks are incredible, the new dark world gimmicks (like darkners needing a signal) is cool af and creative, the atmosphere was incredibly immersive due to great use of background tracks, and every attack was creative, really good job!!! This only made me even more excited for chapter 3 and sad that this isn't going to be part of it

Man, just found your channel and i'm freaking amazed by your contents. You're the only person i could find that's on par with the original game (not really the only one, there's undertale yellow lol). But really, i just love what you're doing
I love all the effort put into this, especially the elaborate attacks and the use of an unused track!
ok this is incredible, but some suggestions: even if this is a fanmade, you can use sprites what actually would really be real, sonny & misty attacks its very good, but light change, would make you have some special attacks, with green and blue, blue would be a groundpound (or a very fast fall, what in the first attack what hit, you bounce), and green make you deflect every attack in a small range
I kind of got Oneshot vibes at the beginning. Super cool video!

This isn’t an animation this is a full fledged fan game I’m impressed
While I personally think they're gonna wake up in the green room, but other than that this looks canon as hell. From Lancer's short scene saying farewell for this dark world, to putting in the effort for actual original, TV-based puzzles, the awesome as hell signal idea for distorting the shadow men, just the general vibe for this creepy first area is so well done and so filled with creative ideas, while fitting in with Deltarune and Toby's style. Love it!

Seems interesting and very good written liked the two weatherforecaster characters an original concept but almost all soul modes being used on main bosses doesn't make sense.
