One gun of a type? You can carry two guns and if you have weapons and try to pick up another you'll replace the one in your hands. You can have the same of a type, you can carry two AK47s, but that'd be a bit pointless.

Where did you give your REACTors the advice you promised? It looked like they had no idea about the inventory, how to properly steer when skydiving and about sights & scopes :X. Also, "one weapon of each type at a time" is wrong of course, two primary weapons, one secondary and one melee.

You can have multiple guns of the same type, even the same weapon twice. Need to slot it correctly, though. If full one 2 main weapons and a handgun, then it will switch out the one being held.
