Hannah - You really need to look into Nerium, which is now known as Neora. I was in Nerium for 3 years - on opportunity calls, at conferences and completely engulfed in it. The way the leaders of that company were worshipped was borderline scary. Then, suddenly out of nowhere, one day in 2016 - ALL of the top earners, and I swear like 2/3 of the reps left Nerium for Modere. I was getting messaged by every team leader trying to pitch Modere to me, begging me to leave Nerium and go to Modere with them. It was absolute insanity! I think the two top earners (Mark and Tammy Smith) - who created all of the training videos, who worked along side the CEO for years - I think they ended up suing the CEO, Jeff Olsen. Anyone in an MLM who think these leaders are in it for THEM, are completely wrong. They're all in it for themselves and will jump ship at a "better" opportunity at the drop of a hat.
I know this comment is old but I was in senegence (another mlm) for about a year in 2017 and out of nowhere my direct upline as well as her direct upline (who was quite a big leader in the company) also jumped ship for modere! I felt super shocked and betrayed at the time as I was struggling with “my business” (never got anywhere) and they were my “mentors”
I am so so SO glad I found this. Been going on 3 hours waiting for this chick on TikTok to message me back about her amazing "NOT AND MLM" collagen and decided to do some research while I wait. She never told me it was Modere but after some digging I got it all figured out along with your help. Keep doing what you're doing girl! Transparency is EVERYTHING!
It's really amusing how they're trying so hard to convince people that this company is not an MLM, but only minutes later they refer to their own company as an MLM *multiple times*
Here we go with the "while you stay home with your kids" because women could RULE THE WORLD but instead we're pulling other women into "opportunity calls" to shame women who want or need to work outside the home. Here's a news flash: every mother doesn't WANT to be a stay at home mom! And that's totally valid and you are just fine. You don't have to want a child on your hip 24 hours a day to be a good mom.
@@tashaedwards Right, nobody even considers what's best for the kid, either. In their world, every kid wants to be on mom's hip all the time and every mom wants that too. It's so bland. No one in this culture has a different personality.
Today I had the courage to send in my fails/horror story. R+F, Savvi, green compass, hugh&grace, and People Helping People. One hun working FIVE MLMS. Thank you for informing people, I appreciate you Hannah!
If a company is willing to take HUNDREDS of dollars off an order it shows that the products are not worth that much in the first place. The markup is outrageous!
The products simply got to heavily overpriced because hefty commissions must be sent up through the pyramid: The lowest block is paid a commission, her upline and her uplines and her uplines upline and the guys in the the top must also be paid commission thus estimates tell that 80-90% of the product price is commission ...
I noticed alot of products that are networking marketing products are now advertised oh poor Hannah's algorithm. So now I see anything interesting I go to Amazon and read reviews.
I love when 'we're not an MLM' scams explain so perfectly why MLMs are a scam. They might even do a better job than anti-MLMers sometimes. It's even funnier when they started their video about that with 'I was in a previous MLM and I loved it' then try this 'but also here's why MLMs suck and this is not one'. Like damn... where you stand Katie, I'm seeing a lot of conflicting messages here girl.
She also went like "those girls were in the same mlm as me and it was amazing, so I got them out of it" 🤣 I love how it sounded like she was sabotaging them for kicks, even if she didn't mean that
Oh Hannah! There you go applying logic, critical thinking, and math to these women’s stories. Someone might think you don’t BELIEVE these women can succeed…😆😉😍
I was a Juice Plus rep (didn't "work" the "business" - could never really get into "presenting the opportunity"), but a few months ago my top leader left and went to Modere, so I am super excited to see this!
something that stuck out to me about the reps' language in the call was how they kept slipping up with their slides and their wording. their "we're not an mlm" persuasion attempts kept being contradicted with them not being able to stick to one term that they /are/. and there were times where the slides had references to "traditional mlms", which implied to me that these slides were meant to contrast Modare as a "modern" mlm and not to be used as "proof" that the company is not an mlm.
So glad you're talking about Modere!! I have a cousin who's in that MLM and has peddled stuff and forced all the members in our VERY LARGE family to get some that has not made any returns while scamming our 89-YEAR OLD grandmother out of so much money so she can dump it in the business. It's awful and I'm happy to see it called out!
I can't even fathom how you can scam your own grandmother and not even feel guilty about it. I hope she's out of that crappy business and made it up to your grandma...
I love how that one girl somewhere around 48 minutes is like "You can all jump into the pool together." Sure, but what she's not telling you is only 3 people have life vests and it's not a pool it's an ocean lol. Good luck, I guess?
If you want to do a video about what I'm going to assume is young people leaving mlms and Mormonism, I'd be happy to help you with anything. I'm an exmormon in Utah and this stuff basically flows through my veins 🤣
She basically said the difference between social retail and MLMs is 'we have apps and less personalisation'. Great, so you're still a pyramid scheme and will attack me with hunbot garbage but now I have to download an app?
It's fascinating how the only positive side they're talking about is remote work. Are these people seriously so detached from reality that they haven't noticed that there's actually plenty of legitimate remote work available?
This is just so sad to watch because all of these moms are spending time away from their children, thinking that they are building a business, and genuinely trying to convince others and themselves that they are not MLM 🙁 I remember doing this when I was apart of Arbonne and spending beautiful, sunny days on zoom trying to convince people to join rather than enjoying the day. Love your videos!
I went to high school with a girl that’s in Modere and she always uses these before and after pictures and talks about losing weight but she lost the weight before she even joined the company.
No lie, several years ago I lost 20 lbs from a terrible flu, and a Juice+ hun tried to hook me in BECAUSE she saw the potential in the before-after shots! "Think of how much $$$ your story could make you!" 🙄
I am listening to this at work and for some reason at the very beginning I thought she said “if you’re the kind who likes to b*tch about this content” instead of BINGE and I was like, “wow, sweet Hannah is spicy today!” 🤣 I meeeannnn, I DO like to b*tch about MLM stuff AND binge it 🤪
I find it so interesting when MLM suppliment huns talk about being able to "immediately notice" when they are off their suppliments, but are so often the people who claim that things like anti-depressents and ADHD medication are making the people perscribed them addicted because they don't want to stop taking them.
Wait so the first lady had been in the company for 2 months, and the third one for 3? Pretty early days to claim it's a life changing opportunity with sustainable income.
You mean having a stable schedule, the same paycheck each month and days off help anxiety? 😮 I wonder how many of them cry everyday from the stress of losing money and working a crazy amount of hours each week for free, from receiving hate from people who can't stand a MLM pitch anymore and snap...
Great video! Have you seen “Only Murders in the building”? In the second episode they talk to the building manager of their apartment complex who has a “side hustle”. 😆
It's hilarious how they keep saying they are different than MLMs and are "social marketers" or whatever but then they constantly reference the "MLM industry" at large. Like which one is it?
After having covid, I experienced hair loss so wanted to get a collagen supplement to help it grow back. I ended up on modere's site and they were having a special, so I bought some. Had no idea they are an mlm until I started watching you last week. I now regret that purchase even more.
I signed up for this one, started doing it, and very quickly realized how ridiculous it was and how aggressive the uplines were. So I quickly signed a letter requesting my money back and thank God did it quickly enough I got it back! Bullet dodged! Also, never actually found out what the products were even after signing up, being on calls, etc. Sooooo secretive. It was nuts.
My problem is that the way most of these women talk, especially in this call, they want a huge paycheck for nothing. Why do they think they’re too good to work a normal job like the rest of us? I’m not a mom but I get a mom shaming vibe from mlm huns if you can’t stay home with your kids. They’re lazy.
You have such pretty skin Hannah! Also, thank you for exposing these insane Zoom calls. You gotta hear it to actually understand the cult and its tactics. Also wtf is this twice a day pay? The $5 you earn is split up?
I usually see "kiddos" in posts on r/antimlm but now I had to listen to that word with my own two ears...... I hate that word. Next thing I hate is "jump into [this]".
I’ve watched “friends” jump from beachbody to nerium then to modere and reach out to me every single time. Everytime “Omg these products are amazing , life changing, clean, changing the world” it’s the same bs they try to feed you just wrapped in different packaging. No matter how they explain it, you are a number to help them grow their down line bottom line
Howwwwwww do they not understand the oversaturation process of an mlm?!!! They're clearly living it right now. This is mind blowing lol. I don't mean that to be rude, I really hope they get it out I'm just in shock. Even binging Hannah's videos I still get in shock over these mlm people
My cousin sells Modere. I was suckered into doing a pitch/training call with her, her director and the rest of their team. Needless to say I thought the entire time, no this isn't for me. For almost a month afterward the director kept messaging me to join. After awhile she got the hint I wasn't going to join and she stopped contacting me. I honestly didn't know Modere was an mlm until I saw it on your channel.
I'm surprised they didn't mention as part of their "we're not an MLM" spiel the storefront Modere has in the SoHo neighborhood of NYC. I pass it all the time and very rarely see anyone inside. Same goes for the Beautycounter shop in the Nolita neighborhood. I'm always tempted to go in and see if this is just a clever way to disguise recruiting with the appearance of being a legit retail business.
omg I had just googled Modere and saw that they are in soho but somehow didn't see any name when I looked at the street map to see how the storefront looks like.
@@jpt610 I feel like it's been there less than a year, so maybe the Google map hasn't been updated. But it's definitely there. Now y'all tempting me to go 🤣
If someone wanted to tell me their entire life story when I just want to buy one thing it would be a hard no. I don’t want to talk to people like that. Hell no.
It’s that faith manipulation! I was a part of Modere for a couple weeks and they CONSTANTLY use faith manipulation. They say Modere is a “servant-hearted” company, they all “pour into” their “businesses.” 🙄 Oh and they also refer to their downlines as “mentorship groups” - how much worse could it get! 😩
I'm sitting here watching this video and get a knock at my door. It's an intern for, none other than, Southwestern Advantage. Boy was he barking up the wrong tree. Luckily he asked about my neighbors who might have kids and I was able to save them all a real headache by saying none of them had children.
What both worries me and pisses me off is that, yes, they’re most likely not cold messaging anymore- they’re doing the long game of befriended their targets, and given their product is collagen, its extra scummy because most of their victims most likely those with health issues.
I think the 'getting paid twice a day' aspect is SO insidious, and it's the same with all these MLMs that boast their "five paychecks a month!" crap. What it's doing is diluting and separating out your paycheck from the company so you don't realise how little you're actually earning. You'd expect your twice a day paychecks to be small because they're only reflecting the "work" you've done in the past 12hrs but I bet if these huns got their lump sum paycheck at the end of the month they would understand how little this company is paying them for the time they put in. Also it's definitely playing a big instant gratification game, as soon as you have a success, no matter how small you get an INSTANT financial reward and are encouraged to keep going.
Exactly what I was thinking! Look, I got $5 just from what I sold overnight! And not ever realizing that even if you did that twice a day all year long, you’d make about a month’s worth of ‘9 to 5’ paycheck.
My mother in love is in Modere. Last time I saw her, she gave me a little bottle "for energy". I looked at it and it said it was 100% caffeine. I jockingly told her "sure, caffeine does give you energy". And she said "no, it's not caffeine, it's all natural". Granted, she's probably not the smartest seller but, come on, I can read... the bottle is well hidden in my highest cupboard, now.
OMG! Hannah, thanks for this. I've had a Modere hun messaging me for over a year. She was/is a friend from high school - oh some 35+ years ago - and she contacted me about the "weight loss" part of Modere..."Just a spoonful before bed. Join the Teaspoon Club!" Every month I get a boilerplate DM from her with the latest discount, sale, or business opportunity link. I never reply, but she doesn't quit. I didn't think anyone else knew about Modere and its MLM background.
As someone who has an income that comes in daily (from selling digital copies) - it's honestly a way to hide how little you can make per month. For a long time I had to really ensure I was writing down my monthly income because otherwise I'd feel like I'm earning more than I actually was, purely because I went from a monthly normal payment to small ones every day. You get that excitement and relief from seeing the payment as we're obviously so used to building our life around receiving payments, but the payment is much smaller.
The ad right before this video is hilarious. It’s a free training guide on how to “not be a weirdo and message strangers” 😂 they’re trying to be even more sneaky!!!
Okay so as a former YL seller (I tried for a few years anyway lol), I can see why this pitch is attractive. Young living did nothing to help their “business builders” so for them to create better systems for sellers is a smart tactic. Whether it actually helps compensate for how crappy mlms are or not is another story. My guess is it doesn’t lol.
New to your channel, it was recommended by my daughter and really like your presentation style. I know you are being careful about discussing a topic without enough research or evidence behind it, but people leaving Young Living over “Satanic Panic”, very scandalous. I’m definitely interested in what is really going on there. Thanks for your unique content and your cats are too cute.
“She is a normal human being.”, “She is a normal human being.” Seems to be emphasizing that, when you do that people get suspicious. Not saying they aren’t “normal.” But it stands out for sure.
Wait so their individual commissions go up to 36% and then there are extra commissions that go to their upline... these must be the most overpriced products in the world.
the fact that the company can sell 400$ (or was it 300$??) retail price worth of product for 80$, presumably while still making a profit shows how much the prices have been jacked up
I would hate getting paid twice a day. Can you imagine the nightmare in trying to organize your income for tax season? It would also be easy to blow through all your pay before the end of the week. I used to deliver pizzas and a big chunk of my pay was in tips. I NEVER kept my tips until the end of the week. Friday would roll around and I would have no idea how much I made in the last week.

I got my ugly leggings from Walmart in the sales rack, got my moisturizer from the dollar store, and the coffee machine is from target. The coffee is from wherever I pick it up from. Lol.
Seriously, idk where they come up with this stuff.
I would love to know more about this. You should send in your story to Hannah if you haven't done so already 🙂
@@DoctorUltraviolence I've been meaning to! Just need to sit my butt down and do it 😅
I’m pretty sure my parents got sucked into Nerium several years ago and tried to pull me in too. 🤔
The double take I did, when I misread the CEO as Joel Olsteen… it would make sense though.
An MLM by any other name still smells like a scam
“Do you think we can play fetch when I’m done?”
Meow
“Okay, sounds good”
Love it! I talk to my 7-month-old the same way 👶🏼 🐈⬛
It's really amusing how they're trying so hard to convince people that this company is not an MLM, but only minutes later they refer to their own company as an MLM *multiple times*
Saying “anyone at all can do this with absolutely zero training” is just not the flex they think it is
Same with when she said “anyone can be a VIP” I was thinking so then you’re not really a VIP then
“It’s great for…..everything” when talking about benefits when taking their supplements…that vagueness speaks volumes 🤣🤣🤣
Makes sense considering they came from Young Living lol
Was looking for this comment! Good for everything? Really? Is it good for losing weight? For hemorrhoids?
It’s shocking how proud she was at spending all that money on product!
Yes! Not proud of selling product, proud of BUYING product
Why 3 apps? You should be able to do all those things in 1 app. That's annoying AF.
Right!? I was thinking the same thing. Why 3 separate apps? So odd.
Maybe they pay for each app separately? That's a little extra cha-ching for the company
I couldn't ask for a better start to my Monday morning than a nice long video from my favorite anti-MLM gal. Thanks Hannah! :)
And Zeke!!! 🥰
“Tell me your a MLM without telling your a MLM” 💯 Also, Zeke “asking” to play fetch is everything!! Our cat used to do the same. Made my heart melt! 😻
I have one child who was fine at home, and another child who does not want to be a stay at home child. She absolutely thrives at daycare.
@@tashaedwards Right, nobody even considers what's best for the kid, either. In their world, every kid wants to be on mom's hip all the time and every mom wants that too. It's so bland. No one in this culture has a different personality.
@@tashaedwards this is such a great point. Some kids are just really social and love being with others.

Exactly! I was fine with being a SAHM for about 5 yrs. After that I was ready to go back to work.
Today I had the courage to send in my fails/horror story. R+F, Savvi, green compass, hugh&grace, and People Helping People. One hun working FIVE MLMS. Thank you for informing people, I appreciate you Hannah!
That's really great 🙂
I have see some Savvi hus now start Elomir
If a company is willing to take HUNDREDS of dollars off an order it shows that the products are not worth that much in the first place. The markup is outrageous!
The products simply got to heavily overpriced because hefty commissions must be sent up through the pyramid: The lowest block is paid a commission, her upline and her uplines and her uplines upline and the guys in the the top must also be paid commission thus estimates tell that 80-90% of the product price is commission ...
Good point
I noticed alot of products that are networking marketing products are now advertised oh poor Hannah's algorithm. So now I see anything interesting I go to Amazon and read reviews.
I am on my knees begging these women to stop saying "pour into".
Someone might think you don’t BELIEVE these women can succeed…😆😉😍
sHe’S jUsT a HAteR
I know, what s sexist hater! 😁
Ive been looking forward to this one since it accidentally went up last week hahaha
SAME
Me too 😂
So glad you're talking about Modere!!
So much careful, manipulative phrasing. 🤮🤮 They don't even say it's not an MLM. They say it's not a ""Traditional"" MLM. 🙄
Can we get Zeke his own channel? 😂 hearing his little chirps and seeing his head-boops always makes me smile 🥰
I second this!!!
I got a big case of the Mondays so I'm extra grateful for this content today lol
She said, “big woop, my dude” 😂. Please put that on merch
Wow! Not even 10 minutes in and they aaaallllmost figured out the saturation problem. So close!
Her constant "uuuum--" was driving me crazy and I couldn't take in what she was saying 😭
For me it was “like”. Ugh 😣
There’s a dispiriting sameness to all these meetings. The only saving grace is your analysis and commentary. Strong work!
I could literally not tell any of these "presentations" apart
@@jameswilson5248 There is an emerging genre of spoof business presentations. Some of them are quite good
It's fascinating how the only positive side they're talking about is remote work. Are these people seriously so detached from reality that they haven't noticed that there's actually plenty of legitimate remote work available?
Increasing any levels in your body 6000% in a short amount of time sounds really dangerous
Clinically proven. Source: trust me bro
Most frequently used words by HunBots: SUPER! AMAZING! UMMM! BLESSING! YOU GUYS!
"Think of how much $$$ your story could make you!" 🙄
@@MrsRitchieBlackmore wowwww
I am listening to this at work and for some reason at the very beginning I thought she said “if you’re the kind who likes to b*tch about this content” instead of BINGE and I was like, “wow, sweet Hannah is spicy today!” 🤣 I meeeannnn, I DO like to b*tch about MLM stuff AND binge it 🤪
I freaking LOVE working my real job FROM home full time while my kids go to daycare. It's a literal vacation. Ah sweet 9-5.
I find it so interesting when MLM suppliment huns talk about being able to "immediately notice" when they are off their suppliments, but are so often the people who claim that things like anti-depressents and ADHD medication are making the people perscribed them addicted because they don't want to stop taking them.
Who has to wait 6 months to get paid? Not sure why she would use such an unrealistic example.
What??? A shareable link that I can share with 'literally anyone'?? Astonishing!
Never apologize for your cats! They are adorable!
Wait so the first lady had been in the company for 2 months, and the third one for 3? Pretty early days to claim it's a life changing opportunity with sustainable income.
That’s exactly what I was thinking!
"It helps my anxiety" yeah, leaving an MLM helps your anxiety too and it's much cheaper...
You mean having a stable schedule, the same paycheck each month and days off help anxiety? 😮 I wonder how many of them cry everyday from the stress of losing money and working a crazy amount of hours each week for free, from receiving hate from people who can't stand a MLM pitch anymore and snap...
Ugh, NO POURING. NO POURING INTO ANYTHING. Bleagh!
‘Blown away by the simplicity (of the comp plan)’. That one generated a genuine out-loud laugh.
I hate how she keeps calling them “normal human beings”. What does that even mean? Ick
“Big whoop my dude” lol. Oh Hannah, you make me laugh sometimes.
Are they that bad at budgeting that they need to get paid twice a day?
Aww, Zeke is on the case too, go get’em, Zeke! 🤣😁😼
There's so many of these companies that they are running out of names... Modere????
Do it! For research 😸
omg I had just googled Modere and saw that they are in soho but somehow didn't see any name when I looked at the street map to see how the storefront looks like.

*meow* “Yep, Zeke, we’re on the case.” 😂😂😂😂
I love Zeke and Cooper. Maybe they need their own channel.
If someone wanted to tell me their entire life story when I just want to buy one thing it would be a hard no. I don’t want to talk to people like that. Hell no.
Why do all MLM Huns love the word “pour” like “pour into it” “poured into my soul” “if really fills my cup” WHY 😂
I wonder if they pick it up from church. My hyper-religious family members and all the churches I've been to use that kind of language, too. 🤷♀️
Please don't apologize for your buddy, it makes me really happy to hear him in the background
They buy hundreds of dollars a month of products that they do not need whatsoever 🙄
I noticed that several Le-Vel Thrive reps jumped ship shortly after the Le-Vel conference and joined Modere, so I’m super interested in this video!
I'm sitting here watching this video and get a knock at my door. It's an intern for, none other than, Southwestern Advantage. Boy was he barking up the wrong tree. Luckily he asked about my neighbors who might have kids and I was able to save them all a real headache by saying none of them had children.
Modere started in 2014 as a re brand and young living changed a lot of their comp plan
Also it's definitely playing a big instant gratification game, as soon as you have a success, no matter how small you get an INSTANT financial reward and are encouraged to keep going.
very good points!
That's actually such a smart take. I had never thought of it like that but there are so many chances you are spot on
Exactly what I was thinking!
Zeke wants to get his 2 cents in about the MLM in question.
Your facial expressions are gold!!
Maybe because I'm older but.....dont they think of things like health insurance and dental?
“She is a normal human being.”, “She is a normal human being.”
Seems to be emphasizing that, when you do that people get suspicious. Not saying they aren’t “normal.” But it stands out for sure.
Wait so their individual commissions go up to 36% and then there are extra commissions that go to their upline... these must be the most overpriced products in the world.
Zeke is definitely a part of your channel now because he meows and chirps at the best moments of your video 😹💯
I died when you listed the 10 different bonus structures 💀💀💀
the fact that the company can sell 400$ (or was it 300$??) retail price worth of product for 80$, presumably while still making a profit shows how much the prices have been jacked up
I would hate getting paid twice a day.
