These are Elon's words but obviously not his voice!!
This is not a gossipy channel, but I have posted this video to be fair to Elon due to the other video I have posted about Elon wife's testimony about their divorce.
The purpose of this video is NOT TO DISPARAGE ELON. I LOVE ELON DEEPLY. The purpose of this video is to highlight to people that money and intelligence quite literally does not ensure a good intimate relationship. Few of us will be able to achieve what Elon has achieved. To sacrifice ones intimate relationship, the most important relationship you will have in your life, for the HOPE! of money and success is wrong. And not a decision you should take lightly. Nothing should take precedence over loving your partner. Whatever time you have left over should be spent on changing the world.

I made this mistake and lost a lot in the process.
He will never be in a long-term relationship because he's already in a long-term relationship with himself and his job. Everything else, except maybe his own children, will always be last.

I get what you mean and finances are a consideration with many if not most people, especially these days but “always” is too strong a word. There are many people who still marry for love.
He met his first wife before Zip2, before being rich. He went after her, not the other way around. He then asked for divorce, so it's only natural that the other party "retaliates" where it hurts: money. I don't think going after the money during divorce means the marriage was not for love. Money is just a fighting tool, like yelling or throwing one's clothes out the window...

20k a month is like mere $4000 per kid. Personally, I don't find it alot of money for the expenses of 5 kids if the kids were gonna get the best of everything a rich kid gets. Sure its alot of money for middle class lifestyle or less perhaps. But private schools can cost 50k to 100k per annum from kindergarden. 5 kids. That 20k is gonna be peanuts.

He gave his first wife an ultimatum and then divorced her then filed divorce papers the next day. He took up six weeks later with Tallulah. Tallulah is a sweet heart and has become friends with Justine. Which is really cool.

The only interesting thing I could at os the fact that the first relationship broke because the man fail and he accepted his guilt and fate which ends up on a peaceful separation. However, there are so many other people involved, so much riding on his work. I don't have kids, but I have to say, I 'don't have' interests that would need to be 'voted for' in a relationship. I am actually in favour of people being able to keep what they had before marriage, unless decided freely otherwise and there are genuine dependents. I have continued pursuing my career, regardless. I guess it gets way more complicated when there are kids involved, or someone has invested their time in some way - like putting another person's career before their own. Deciding together is the thing. If you feel you have no say, or it doesn't make good sense, then, yes, red alert.

Personal relationships are jot for him he does not have the ability to relate to humans in the way a feeling, non-psychopathic human needs/wants. It's not purposeful or malevolent, but it certainly comes off that way to someone who is emotionally coherent. It's not good vs evil...it just is what it is and needs to be seen that way.

Justine gets 20k a month just for her shoes and clothes from him, she gets millions a month in alimony and a bel air mansion multiple vacation homes and cars and has the most expensive divorce in recorded history all while he totally supported his kids. Shes been away from him for years with enough money to reinvent her life in any way she wants with few barriers if any. I left my marriage with a shitty guy with nothing and I got 85 a month in child support total because he refused to work on the books jobs. I have a hard time feeling sorry for her. She knew she was married to an autistic savant who had bipolar disorder. Im sorry that didnt work for her and was painful but its been over a very long time. I will say that while I couldn’t know of his personality/potential disorder, there are quite a few red flags. And if he IS on the PD spectrum, my own personal experience & witness of others is that you are NOTHING to them. Seems to me he also played a lil game there with offering to donate in her name to ‘her choice of charity.’ Why would that be a considerable offer, other than to make her appear non-philanthropic? Either he knows a beloved charity of hers and just does it w/o publicizing, or he gives her what she needs to maintain her & their boys’ lives, allowing her to decide if she has remaining to donate. That ‘offer’ felt slap-in-the-face to me.

I run my own business. For the first year I did literally everything....manufacturing, edits, budgeting, financing, sales, taxes, packaging, and shipping...I'm a machine. I turned my guest bedroom into an office/miniature factory. I DID EVERYTHING. I have since hired website editors & developers, photo editors, marketers etc. I STILL sleep on my couch some nights and I have absolutely fallen asleep at my desk before.
...but I wake up nurturing that business I dream't of my whole life. It's my child. It's WORK. Beyond belief.
I often take a 1-2 hour naps around lunchtime and work on Saturdays every other week. I've wanted to rip my hair out and I've had many breakdowns getting to where I am now. I don't know if I could ever date a non-entrepreneur...it's an intense experience that takes up such an important passionate part of my life and I need someone who relates and pushes me too...because they know how it is too. Entrepreneurs tend to grow much closer to other entrepreneurs. It's honestly mandatory for growth on both ends. I will absolutely need someone who understands and does the same with their life no if's or buts. There's a common level of understanding and communication when two entrepreneurs get together because they both get what it's like. I need someone who is equally driven to the point where we uplift one another in all aspects..love grows. I wake up between 4 - 5 AM every day and go to bed at around 12 - 1 AM.
I'm a very headstrong no bullsh*t woman. I need the same and I also want that person to feel the sense of purpose I do for the world. Call my standards high, but, you're right. We are a different breed. We aren't better than others, we are just different and as a result our love life and other specified needs are different too.

Marriage is too complicated these days i divorced 25 years ago and she was a good women we both were good people. She both moved on and never kept in touch there was no need to we never had a family. I have an electronics background and love to fiddle in the shed and run my small business. I never remarried although i found out she did in another state somewhere. I will always wish her well were ever she is she was the right women wrong set of circumstances that's how i summed it up. I admit i still think about her and always will however in the end i had to admit I have always been married to myself. Nicholas Tesla was exactly the same and look at the things he invented. He admitted that women need to be looked after and in a sense fussed over and he couldn't do it so he stayed single. Last i looked him up he is in a lonely grave somewhere unnoticed near a railway line but who cares he is dead.

Hardly, I’m a very fair woman who doesn’t believe any woman should rely on a man, have worked all my life, still do, take care of my whole "new" family and only one working in household, walked away from an ex and didn’t want anything at all, so I could be free and independent from his toxic behavior- he was physically abusive-he was broke anyway and he left me to fend for myself after I had baby with a landlord serving eviction notice. Thank god for my mother. I think that money grubbing women give us honest ones a bad name, and I don’t believe in alimony because of the very comment you made. When you see a man divorcing a woman who had 3 pregnancies (2 "muti-children" and 2 in vitro with all that hormonal rollercoaster), who had 2 C-sections (actually serious operations for female body), who lost their first about ten-month-old child and who is now raising 5 little boys (twins and triplets aged less than 6) and all of this happening within 8 years, you should know how to look at this man. I mean it was hard for him, too. However, it was very immature and selfish to find a 13 years younger copy of your current wife at THAT time after attending only 3 (!!!) sessions of maritial counselling because some problems appeared.

Right persepective is to look at married couples, remembering the importance of maritial vows they had exchanged. It shows that well-being of the whole family should be secured (e.g. stability and love children need). These vows are there for a reason. I am sure a bit of empathy and responsibility is essential if you promise sb to love them till death etc. IMO Elon Musk lacked both of them while making decisions about ending his first marriage.
It's healthy to trust your guts. Would you want your partner to treat you and your marriage the way EM treated his (considering details given in my previous comment)?
Sometimes it's worth stopping "intelectual stream of conscience" to find the right perspective. "Just because you feel good, it doesn't make you right." I guess he felt better without his first wife at that moment of their lives, causing her and their 5 children to feel much worse. Fleeing problems cause more problems, usually firstly for others, in long term for "perpetrator", too.

I don't have the whole picture, only what we see and hear here on UA-cam from both parties. My personal belief is that if my ex-husband starts and builds the business and successfully, I did benefit while married to Ex, and did support him through his building, which denotes at the very least a pretty good, hefty Settlement. I can see the court's perspective, however, that it might not be altogether correct or right for the Ex-wife to have ownership in the Ex-husband's business ownership, and that's very sticky and philosophical over business legal, wouldn't you say? If Elon agrees to pay hefty payments to Justine for support of her and their children, and provides a more than required Settlement agreement, let him keep ownership of his business, keep paying her the support she does warrant as well for their children, and let Justine instead continue to build her own ownership in her business she started. She has the power to start any business she wants and knows how to be successful. But let Elon keep ownership of his business he designed and built. It is very difficult, complicated, and painful, but yes, let his business go.

You can love each other and spend time together without this contract. Marriage in my country are to the disadvantage of the male partner; a pre-marriage contract simply evens out this disadvantage. And on top, property separation can be advantageous for both, for instance, if both partners have their own businesses.

You can love a lot of people (not just romantically) that you wouldn’t trust. Like I said, glad it worked out for you. No doubt an exception. I completely understand had a father that had similar problems, he was always creating patents businesses engineering companies. My parents were always getting divorced and married each to other, so much we lost count.
