Hey man bit of a random question but I see you are using a 7 string. If the tuning is in drop A sharp did you tune the top string half a step down then the rest of the strings half a step up ? Or do I need to get different strings ? Trying to learn it for 5 string bass but this tuning shit is twisting my brain a bit and it’s probably a simple answer lol
Just put heavy strings on a 6 string you can dedicate to that tuning and tune it to A#. Thats gonna be easiest. Skinny strings on a 7 string tuned up half a step will still accomplish the same but the tone and feel will be affected, plus you'll still have an unused string. But its all preference at the end of the day. My preference is to just have a dedicated guitar setup for drop A# tuning.
@@dominicbirkett-wood1271 tuning a bass up 1 semitone isn’t going to cause any issues. Personally I use a 130-45 5 string set tuned to drop A but it would be just as usable in A#. It’s not complicated at all
