The problem is, is that when he was having that conversation, the Jews who he was having the conversation with knew that he was invoking himself as being God, if you fully read the text in Matthew after Jesus says that he had to leave because they tried to stone him. The conversation is clear, this man is trying to twist scripture to meet his own beliefs.

No it doesn't mean more than one thing. Whenever the father was speaking to Abraham he clearly stated "I am who I am". By saying Before Abraham was I am clearly means that Jesus in the face of the invisible God. As usual Muslims try to manipulate the scripture to "prove" he isn't God.

you cut it off before he explained...if you are truly Christian , Jesus claimed to be God himself. the name God gave to Moses was "I AM" so Jesus saying before Abraham was IAM means hey guys I'm God. and I'm a Jew we don't believe this but my wife is Christian and it's interesting to me.
When the man came to jesus and said ''good teacher'' and jesus answered ''why do you call me good, only God is good'' means that, how do you know that jesus is good (God) when you dont know him. And this ties in to the later verses where it says ''lord, lord have i not proficied in your name... and jesus says ''away from me i never knew you''. He wants you to know him, he wants to be a part of your life, thats what it means, thats how you get to heaven.
