Thanks Fabiano, I’m glad this was helpful to you! I agree, there should be a 1 to 1 view like ratio, haha. Really appreciate your support, let me know if you want to see more content around Elixir.
For me, the asdf global command with erlang produced an error of some sort - but the downloaded version was made global anyway it seems. Maybe it's not needed for my system (Linux Mint 20.3 Cinnamon)? Tried the asdf global command with elixir - no error, but it didn't show the newly downloaded version when I ran elixir -v or iex. Restarted the terminal though, and it worked! :) Finally - I already had elixir (and of course erlang) installed, but not via asdf. So, was worried this might not work just following these steps, and that I might have to uninstall elixir & erlang first. But this seems to have worked completely, overall! Hope my additions can help people with similar problems. Great tutorial overall, thanks! :)
You can use brew or apt to install it. On brew it should already be the latest version, on Linux add the apt repository on Ubuntu based, on Arch it should also be updated. I'll make a video on the future on how to do this step-by-step! 👍
