The one time we stopped off in Livingston Manor to get ice cream on our way back from Andes to NYC, it was so weird to see the juxtaposition of gentrified businesses like this & fancy little farm-to-table cafes with the locals who definitely did NOT fit the profile of people who’d frequent this type of business. There was definitely the feel of a rural area that had been ravaged by the opioid epidemic & on a Saturday evening there didn’t seem to be much else for local young people to do but meet at the gas station convenience store
here in Poland we have a LOT of botanical gardens and palm houses and in Warsaw we have a botanical garden called :ogród botaniczny UW and there we have a LOT of cicud's maybe you will come one day :D and in Poznań there is one of the biggest palm houses in europe. Always open to see you here :D
When buying houseplants, is it better to buy small and grow them on or buy big? I have a houseplant order tomorrow. I made myself a terrarium, looking forwarding to my tacca forming a leave and my coffee seed forming a plant.
Personally, I'll buy plants small because I like watching them grow. As for buying big, I'd do that when I want something I can enjoy at its already established, mature size and don't want to wait years for it to get that big. Good luck with your plants!
@@vesgardens OK, thanks. I know with some plants it’s not worth buying small because it takes too long to get to a decent size. I’m really hoping my monstera grows to a good size
