Based in Saugerties, New York, Swell Studio has been making furniture-of wood, stone, and metal-since 2018. “Some of the most intricate parts of the process are shaping and working the stone to create the feet for a credenza,” White explains. “You can make one cut and a vein could pop off and break, and then you have to start over-so you have to be very careful and meticulous when you're laying out your cut.”
