This remix really embodies that uniquely somber and industrial feel that gives the first entry such a strong identity. The actual gameplay is merely the foundation that the rest improved upon, but the atmosphere is unforgettable.
It was cool how you used the intro from the original game in 0:00 and the intro from Captive Legend in 3:16. The interesting thing is that the original remaster version is extended because of the part of the music that the end notes repeats 4 times and in the original game, Mythos and This version it repeats 2 times in 3:35. The Mythos version because of the wind in the desert intro.
Listening to this I had a vision into the future: we get a new megaman game, its fully 3D, third person shooter....it catches fans off guard- they initially don't like the trailer at all, but it ends up being beloved after release. Despite it not being a traditional megaman game, it plays a lot like a dark souls game mixed with Metal Gear Rising Revengeance elements, no more platforming and linear shooting, and more focus around parries, dodging enemy attacks and having rpg elements- and is incredibly challenging. The art style takes on a dark, more realistic cross between the X and Zero series with heavy retrowave/cyberpunk/steampunk themes. The final area before the final boss plays this music. You go throughout the whole game playing as an incarnation of X, nothing about Zero's existence is mentioned or teased unless you really notice the patterns in the story. When this song starts hardcore fan’s jaws drop as they realize the final boss is about to be Zero…or at least presumably. Idk why I had this vision- I guess I just REALLY want there to be a new megaman game…even if it means Capcom making it in the resident evil engine and trying something new with the genre. Obviously they would never do this, right? They tried something new with megaman before and their sales were so bad they considered it a failure in Japan. Hence why they don’t want to make megaman games anymore…their other franchises just sell WAY better. 🙁
we all hope for a new MM game :( but have you tried the Azure Striker games from the same team that made the Zero saga? they are really good and in 2D :)
@@100organicfreshmemes5 franchises evolving overtime is natural. I would love a classic sidescroller shooter megaman as much as the next guy, but I’m also a realist and recognize game development companies like branching out to new ideas with franchises when the old ideas failed…which X 7 and 8 definitely weren’t successful.

I turned 40 over two weeks ago. For some odd reason I’m addictive to this song. It’s hitting the right emotional notes. Thank you!
Happy Birthday Victor! I'm glad you are enjoying my remixes :)
