Starting an Internship in BI for a huge health care company this summer working with data warehouses and ETL'S. Great videos on summarizing and refreshing myself with the concept of BI. Thank you!
Thanks to your channel, your teaching and presentation style, and of course your advanced expertise, I've been able to gain more insight and knowledge about business intelligence 👌🏾 thank you 🙏🏾🙏🏾❤
Thank you so much for this fantastic video! May I ask which BI tool did you use for this conditional color formatted dynamic bar chart? Thank you again!
Hi Adam! I don't know who to ask this question, and I've scoured through reddit for an answer to it. I'm an accounting bachelors, I hate it. I have always been interested in marketing, but a master degree in it seems quite useless to me. I thought that business intelligence might be a valuable way to get into marketing, my ultimate goal being to become a marketing manager. I think that BI would be a great starting feild, with a good ''out of college'' pay. I was wondering about your opinion of this, and whether you think that a creative person could do well in BI. (also, I, terrified of the job actually being primarily coding...which I'm not really interested in).
Hi Mrs Tacky. I am both a nerd and a creative and I found BI to have a good mix of skills to satisfy both sides. I love visualizing data and also figuring out the best ways to connect to and join data sources. Trust me, there’s a lot more to BI than writing code. I’m not saying that you won’t need to, you will. But not as much as you might think and not to any really high level. Hope this helps!
I guess it would depend how far along your journey into learning these things is but it's a great start. I think most bigger companies would probably require you to have some kind of related degree or experience in BI but you could always target smaller companies. Maybe build up a portfolio of personal projects using public data to demonstrate your skills.
Thanks for making this video, very helpful! By the way, i suppose the example of instagram analytics above is just a simple form of BI? I still have to learn more.
There are different roles in BI like analyst and developer. And no, it’s not possible to work in BI without knowing SQL. With regard to the difference between a business and BI analyst, Google is your friend
Hey hi, I am currently doing my bachelors degree which is b. Com(commerce) It's a three year program from india. So Will i be able to do my masters in business intelligence &analytics in uk,I am not from the technical background. so i am currently learning programming language.. Waiting for your reply
In a word, no. Or rather, not really. BUSINESS Intelligence is all about analysing BUSINESS data to make smarter BUSINESS decisions. You'd be better off looking for a qualification in statistics or the broader field of 'data analysis'.
I am in the same position as yours I want to do master in Bi and I have no IT background and I hate mathematics I am not sure if it is good decision or not
Hey there. I know I've said it before but new videos really are coming in the next week or 2. I've been working on a major project for the past 6 months so really haven't had time to concentrate on the channel. But more free time now = more new videos coming soon. Thanks for watching!
Data analysis is a component of BI in that you are analyzing and visualizing data. But BI is about building dashboards that help businesses monitor business performance over time.
For Business Intelligence you don't need to know Python because most BI projects don't call for the kinds of analysis that Python is built for. In BI you'll be mostly aggregating and visualising business data using SQL and BI tools that were built for BI. If you want to become a data scientist then you'll definitely need to study Python but that's a different channel 😁

What is the name of data visualization tool you used here ?
It’s a tool that doesn’t really exist anymore, unfortunately. But there are other tools that have similar functionalities. Try Tableau.

Appreciated.
where to get this type of data from Instagram??
You can use a data hub service provider like Power My Analytics or Supermetrics. I’ve got links to both in the video description.

Data analysis is a component of BI in that you are analyzing and visualizing data. But BI is about building dashboards that help businesses monitor business performance over time.
