FreeCAD Topological Name or Numbering Problem

- FreeCAD's Topological numbering issue is the software's biggest criticism. It's easier to deal with if first you understand it. This short video may help users or potential users to use this very powerful software.
The topo problem is neither a problem nor a feature. This is simply a logical effect of changing inheritant objects like changing the foundations of any structure.
This problem no longer exists in the development version that will soon be released as version 1.0. Ther have also been many new features added.

I'm supportive of the change to the software and when I started using FreeCAD I believed it was a fault however it is debatable that it is a fault. It is frustrating for people who come from F360 expecting it to be a free version of the same.
Do you know how to make measurements appear? I'm having issues on trying to make my sketches a certain size. Thank you :)
Such problems are not visible in modern software.
such problems have been fixed in 1.0 (which fully releases in august), if you want to try it out you can look at the dev builds. basically any problem in the major workbenches, excluding the new assembly wb coming out in 1.0 aswell (and some others) have fixed this problems. Now right now there are bugs but it isnt TNP.
@@hypocritical7379 - I use the FreeCAD-Weekly 0.22 version. 😀 The 1.0 is not out jet, but I can not wait for it.
@@hypocritical7379 that's good to hear
@@hypocritical7379 The problem has not been completely resolved in the new version.. You will receive a warning that it will cause problems and you will then have to make adjustments to get everything working again. Make a cube and put 2 chamfer on it and remove the first and you have your Topological Name problem at the latest dev builds.
@@xav6427 Thanks for the reply. I believe this is only a problem if you were expecting something different. Some of the graphics I do with this software I can't imagine doing with F360 or Blender.
