Not saying anything is wrong with buttons, just saying companies are minimizing the size and amount of buttons they put on remotes.. Harmony created some really good remotes for a great price..

We’ve learned that as cool and great as control4 is. It’s not for everyone or every project. We have distribution for all of your retail smart home products as well (Ring, Sonos, Eco Bee, Lutron Caseta, Etc…) but there really isn’t a good universal remote option to control the AV . This is great for our client that call us and want a smart tv option with a Sonos soundbar, Lutron smart lighting, Nest Thermostat, a Ring system, Ecoo Bee Thermostat and have a MyQ garage controller. It’s not as easy as having everything in one app but you do have all the apps and AV in one place. At least that the concept behind it. 🤔💭 We are setting up a few system in the next few weeks so we will soon have some detailed content on the remote on the field. Thanks for watching 💪🏽
There are too many vendor installed only remotes. Because of this non-DIY option, they will never be successful. Nice video though. Thumbs up for you - thumbs down for the vendor.
Ava is its own ecosystem and the actual hardware can be used with Josh.ai and their eco system but It has no integration with C4. You either do AVA or Josh.ai Thanks for watching

Out of the box it requires installer credentials and set up. Once it’s logged in, all the programming is done from the remote and it’s very easy to program. Homeowner can make all the changing and programming they want. Thanks for watching .
@@empireavservices So does that mean the installer requirements are covered in the cost of the product? We will agree that it’s not a cheap remote, but we do believe that it fits a certain clientele. Based on the manufactured, it is built to sustain standard household use. We haven’t had any issues with any of the projects that we’ve deployed but we’ve only had them on the field for a few months so as too early to tell. We don’t really have a lot of issues replacing remotes so hopefully this one won’t be any different

I have really nice AV gear, and I have no interest in having an ‘installer’ in my home, putzzing with my AV gear. Not to mention, I think most people that care about their gear WANT to control their system, it’s part of the hobby.
