If you don't have a pick and pokey set you're not a mechanic. Park tool 4/5/6 Y handle is probably my most used tool. Magnetic tool holders are also very helpful.
Shhhh!!! Don’t tell people they could have 28+ free pokey tools if they thrash a wheel! Gotta keep the boys over at Hobo-Freight in business! Actually solid advice though, I hadn’t thought about that!
I think the funniest thing about this vid is the comment about when bike mechanics think they discover a tool like the thumb driver that auto mechanics have used for 20 years. I was a professional motorcycle mechanic for 5 years and a car mechanic for two (I hated working on cars. Bent over an fender, everything greasy and dirty, crawling around on the floor with dirt in my eyes. Motorcycles were much easier to work on.) When I became a bike mechanic (did it for 12 years) I was amazed what basic mechanic skills most of the other mechanics in the shop had no clue about. Tapping threads, using an easy-out, putting bearings in the freezer to make them easier to press in, how to face surfaces and other fairly common car/motorcycle mechanic tasks. Most of them had no idea how to use a tool correctly.
One shop I used to work in, none of them know how to properly store a torque wrench once it's not in use, they just left it above the minimum setting. This caused their Effetto Mariposa to become miscalibrated only a few months into service. My Pro Bike Tool torque wrench that costs almost half of that? In use since October 2020 and still in-spec to this day. One of them also spam-torques the wrench, at a chokehold too!
The dice 🤣🤣
Best Tool I Own!
Watch, Park tool will come out with $130 M8B (Magic 8 Ball).
My picks are sharpened spokes
Love the idea! Stealing it for sure

Y Handles are pretty nice, I think I could almost do a whole video on magnetic accessories LOL.
I have a pin that was in my ankle...now i use it for a pokey tool.
My pokey tool has always been a sharpened spoke. Cheap and easy to replace.

@@evo1cycling I bent one into a mini hook for hooking cables when fishing them out of a frame or handlebar.

Right! The crossover and over complication of things is really something else. 😅

I love the dice, but how much should I charge per roll?
I think the going rate for the first 2 rolls is $free.99, after that it is a minimum charge of an hour diagnosis.... HAHAHA
I keep rolling a 7 or 11. I just keep thinking…. CRAP!
🤦🏼♂️
😂 the struggle is real!!
You might need to upgrade to the Park Tool set at this point
All new technology coming soon from Park Tool.... DIAGNOSTIC DICE for the low low price of $29.99
Ah yea!
