I remember this! I was with a group and my cousin Jo Sorrentino Zutell! It was great!!!
The place with the Boars head is where Jo and I got a snack that was olives, salami, capers etc!

Salvatore and I participated in the St Gandolfo festival in Polizzi Generosa …it was amazing!!
Then our 3 adult kids joined us and we took them on a tour to Ortygia,Taormina, Catania and Polizzi…
They will be back!!

Since when Columbus reached the new world the Europeans thought they had reached India, when the plant was brought back to Europe, they named the plant and fruit fighi d’india or figs from India, when it should actually be fighi d’america or figs from America.
