The first time I saw kratos kill himself at the end of this game I legit thought santa Monica were done with him forever and I kinda cried a little, until I saw the blood trail and no body at the end of the credits I had a little hope that one day santa Monica would tell another amazing story of kratos, not counting ascension because that game takes place before 1, and then we got god of war 2018, and I was so happy

Well Kratos will die at one point of the Franchise...but it won't end there, then we will be playing "BOI", Atreus when hes grown up to avenge his father.
It was completely different for me. I was glad it was over, kratos finally got his revenge and would die in peace. But no hey lets explote him in another 3 games more, that not even looks like a god of war, its more like the last of us with fantasy rpg things. I pass
When i was young i tought adventure games like this are lame. Since its like the only game i had and bored... I went to experience how else could i enjoy this. So I play using all combo randomly and juggles. Now i see how this game is worth. Dont just aim to finish the game people... try to enjoy it
I think thats just you maybe idk. When I was young even when I don't know the concept of combos, I still had many repeat playthroughs of the God of War series just because of how fun it was to hack n' slash. Plus combos in this game is hard, the only lock on is with projectiles from what I remember so everything was standard hack and slash the shit out of everyone with every weapon in your arsenal.
And even then I enjoyed it that way, dosen't need to be super stylish. Infact I don't think God of Wars leans to that unlike DMC which I absolutely try my hardest to style

First time playing god of war 3 that last part where u just have to spam the screen till it becomes fully red I didnt know what to do so I kept spamming the circle button for 15 minutes and I just got bored and stopped and boom the game continued

She wanted him to destroy Olympus so she could take control over everyone and everything. Kratos saw this at the end and that's why he killed himself, he wouldn't allow himself to become a slave a second time.

I just hate the combo meter cooldown for this, if you even stop to take a breath it just resets again. Which is why I try not to look at it. But other wise great game and great gameplay.
Wow i just thought of something crazy. At 35:23 Athena said "they will not know what to with it". I wonder if by "they" she meant that that power Kratos unleashed by killing himself reached other worlds like the Norse one and it became controlled by the top tier gods like odin and thor and because of it they have become even more powerful than they already were. There was nowhere for it to go because there was nothing left in olympus so it would be kinda interesting if that was the case. I also wonder if that explosion when Kratos killed himself opened the portal between the two worlds and was able to get there afterwards. Who knows, it's just that the final scene of gow 3 raises some questions
actually she was talking about the little amount of humans that were left and survived after the death of all the gods, wich was the plan of kratos by stabbing himself, she also mentions "mankind" they will know what to do, with hope, they will find the way

They screwed it up in purpose to progress the plot. Speaking of plot, I hope they're not going to bridge it between GOW 3 and 4 through other media than video game, because that would break the immersion. But then again, the majority who don't care about plot will always outnumber us who care about it. i have a theory gamebreakergod so that box power is actually the levhithan axe power so here i will explain so kratos falls into the abbys but that abbys athena follows when his falling and athena gets him and athena relise theres nothing in omlypus aka (omlimpia) and athena found this world call midgard and athena didnt have anything to do in olympus so athena just stays in midgard. and then karatos wakes up in the middle of nowhere in the forest and he look at his hole at his belly and it was stich up.(by the way athena stich up his belly so he doesnt bleed out) and kratos think that athena brought him here and he thinks that athena stich up his body aka belly and he stands up and kratos walks around in tghe forest and he found a miror and he picks it up and look at him self kratos was old like his father and he drop the miror and he found this lady named (faye) and kratos says who are u and where am i at faye said hello ur in midgard and kratos says ok and she said u look lost cmon lets go to my home and when kratos was in her house kratos said whats ur name and faye (my name is faye) and kratos said oh ok my name is kratos and they were talking and talking and this is what happened (1 year later) kratos and faye was married and kratos forgot his blade in the forest and kratos said to faye (faye im going back to the forest and faye said becreful!!!!!! and kratos said ok! and kratos returns back to where he woke up and hes blade was laying near him and he took it and go back he next thing he go's back he found out hes wife was pragnent and faye said im pregnent kratos was happy but still DOESNT SMILE and next few weeks the baby was out and the baby was sleeping and kratos said lets name him and kratos aid this hmmmmmm maybe atreus? faye said i like loki to be my son but ill go for atreus and kratos was so happy that he had another family and this is what happened (4 years later) the baby was grown to 6 and faye says im going to go somewhere can u wait kratos kratos says ok! and its been a day and she is not home and kratos found her at the forest laying dead kratos was screaming fayeeeeeeeee and he took her axe and corpse into the house and he took her axe and kratos blade at the back of the house and and kratos grab his soul and he grab something else it was athena power and he took it and put it in to hes wife axe and he didnt have any power elese in his soul so he took his blade power in his soul and he caalled his new punching power spartan rage and his blade were getting rusty and he burried it in the house and he sets hi adventure to the forest to chop every single tree that his wife loved and find her wife fav flower before burning her and he advetured with atreus and atrues found her mother and thats where the story of god of war 4 BEGINS..........
